What’s is the biggest lie we are told?

So many stories have been told and we as children used that same story to grow thinking that things will work out base on what we were told, imagine telling a child that if he goes to school that he'll become a doctor, lawyer, engineer and all that, it doesn't work for everyone. Like I was told that when you throw your teeth on the roof that it will grow back but if you don't it won't grow well. The crazy one I remember is if a boy go close to a girl that she'll get pregnant, mehn, our parents should do better honestly.

Is it false that if you go to school to study a medical related course or an engineering related course that you will become either a medical doctor or an engineer? it is not wrong because in all ideal sense, there is no way you can be either of these if you don't pass through these route. the system might have failed but that does not mean that education is a necessity in any society that aspire to grow and become better.

Even with regards the notion that youth are the leaders of tomorrow, it is not still false because the actual future leaders of any nation is the youth. if you get the required training early enough and you are interested in leadership, it is not impossible to be one. moreover, leadership is of different cadres.

You're right cause i don't see how someone wants to get a degree in those professions without education or going to school, maybe she's not explaining it better for to understand but in the right sense you must go to school, study before qualifying to be a doctor, lawyer or whatever, moreover if the system failed in her region, it's not same everywhere.
 Growing up as a kid i was told many false beliefs one of them was that if i saw an orange seed, an orange tree would grow through my head then I'll gradually become an orange tree, that shit made me scared of oranges till i discovered it's all lies.

So many lies were told when we were children, but do you think today children receive similar or different lies? I see how children being told same lies about study, about level of dangerous of some activities, how police will take them if they misbehave. Do you think parents use same lies they were told, or those lies are sort of standard? And would you use same lies that were used against you while parenting your children? I have heard some of those stories before, although they were lie but they are told for a reason, especially the one they said that going close to a lady gets them pregnant, so that it would make children to stay away from doing something they are not matured enough to do. As for becoming a doctor or a lawyer after going to school is not a lie because that's how those professions are acquired because there is know one who would become a lawyer without academic certification. The only reason we believed in those lies before was at of ignorance but I don't think any children now will be able to believe in those lies since they're all smart and exposed.

Don't conclude yet because something can still happen that will make you to achieve those things your parent said it will happen to your life.  I was told that I will become president of my country, but till now I don't think it will come to pass because am not a politician and I don't like politics.

It was very easy to accept all these things but ones you're older everything becomes clear and it changes immediately, look society made us to believe so many things that if we understand how life works like in reality they are all false, my annoyance is that the stories are cooked in a beautiful way that we only have to shine our teeth and say yes we have to be this or that in future, honesty if it was that easy I don't think we'd have people moving around with files looking for jobs.
I think that notion doesn't play well with me because we have more older people leading while the younger ones who they said are the leaders of tomorrow are nowhere close to leading a state not to talk of a nation, leaders of tomorrow is a typical example of pure scam, a 75yr old would still be dragging a position he had controlled for years and still keep going for it, is that a sign that the youths are leaders of tomorrow? Is never happening, the world is messed up with lies.

For instance, when parents told their children than going too close to a girl would make her was actually quite an effective way of preventing their kids from indulging in something they weren’t actually matured enough to comprehend.

However, becoming a doctor or lawyer after going to school isn’t necessarily what I’ll consider to be a lie because technically, those professions requires proper and adequate education and certification.
You see many of us believed most of those lies and stories because we were ignorant, but kids today are way more exposed and accessible to information and data we weren’t opportune to have back then, so they’ll literally question such ideas if they’re told today.

Growing up I was told that you can suffer now and enjoy later, and I saw most people I know sacrificing their health and relationships all in the name of enjoying later. Some have stayed in an abusive relationship only for the hope that their partner will charge later and they will become one again, while some kept managing their health thinking that it will be better later and not all survived with that kind of mindset as some people have died in an abusive marriage or relationship, while others who were working tirelessly knowing fully well that they're sick died too, now it is no longer suffer now and and enjoy later as you might be suffering till death comes and you won't even see the enjoyment that you're waiting for later.

I still feel that those things that we were told wasn't really a lie, as our parents were just telling us things that worked in their own time, but now the world is full of uncertainty. I was also told of getting a well paid job after acquiring a degree for some it has helped, they got the job but the sustainability is another thing, some are earning money but still feels empty and in debts as the monthly salary can't even do much for the family.

Can't deny that having kids comes with a lot of responsibility and extra costs. But they also bring joy, love, a bond and a whole lot of meaning to your life. Things even money can't buy. Anyone with kids probably knows what I mean.

And if you think our parents lied to us , do not be surprised if your own kids think you're a liar one day too. The world keeps changing, and what we believe is true now might just be outdated by their generation.

In my country the education system made us believe that education is the key to success, but with the way things are now pursuing education is no longer worth it.  You see graduates going to learn a skills from people who only have secondary school certificate, because the government failed to provide job opportunities for them and it's very ridiculous.  Things like this are the reason almost everybody in my country says school is a scam.

In years back when population wasn't much this like this and the system wasn't corrupt the way it is now education was actually a key to success then but not only education that was the key the success because i believe there were also farmers and business people then that were successful. But now education in the country isn't value again because many has graduate without job unless they went on to learn some skills just as you have said.

One of the biggest lie i was told when growing up was that the youths are the leaders of tomorrow but since then i haven't seen any youth leading the country but those old men that we just know and they are still the same people leading till now while they still keep telling us that we are leaders of tomorrow, and i have been asking when will this tomorrow come.

Growing up we were told that certain things automatically leads to happiness, success like getting a degree, owing a house early, having a high paid job, getting married before a certain age, buying luxury cars and many more but as people grow and gain experience, many begin to question those beliefs.

Personally, I’ve noticed that some goals looks just Impressive form the outside but don’t always improve someone’s quality of life. On that other hand, some simple things like having peace of mind, good health, financial stability, meaningful relationship or having control over your own time often becomes much more valuable.

Having a degree now is just so frustrating that nobody knows that it's all going to be a lie , can you imagine after school people are still frustrated, this is the biggest lie of my time, even if you are a graduate today without a good connection with someone you already knows you can't be help at all , having a degree is just so frustrating that nobody believes that one that has already finished schooling should also need to learn a skill to back up the degree Incase the degree false.

When i was kids i often heard that we should never say "No" to our elders, or never adopt an argumentative behaviour infront of them. Because they always are right, their decisions their philosophy of life never proved to be wrong. Or when they made any decision about their kids future  especially for marriage, ot was believed that they always have something better for the kids. Or if anyone dare or want to go against their decisions they would feel loss or regret it. They set some norms for the society that totally indicating their lack of knowledge or they are not suitable for today. By mutual discussions, searching analysing or through observations it is good to break some typical norms. Or it educate us when our youngsters go against their decision it doesn't mean that they disrespecting them. But it is because the decision may create many difficulties in future.

I have always heard that if you study well and get a good job, you will not have to worry much in life. I used to think like that too. It seemed that the more you earned, the better your current situation would be and continue to improve in the future. But now, looking around, I realize that this is not always the case for everyone. I have seen many people I know who have good jobs and are not paid badly. However, as soon as the month ends, money starts to flow. Suppose someone earns $800 a month. That sounds good. But when it comes to paying rent, household expenses, car payments, and this and that, you find that you have nothing left.
I have also seen the opposite. There are many people who do not earn much, but people understand their own capabilities. They do not spend unnecessarily. At the end of the month, they can set aside some money, even if it is small. I used to not worry about these things so much. I used to think that if they had more money, all their problems would be solved. Now it seems like earning more money is certainly good, but what's the point if you can't manage that money properly? For me, being able to live within my means and not having to rely on others in times of need is a much bigger deal than having a higher income.

We were greatly made to believe that once you go to school and is brilliant and leaves school, your case is settled, because a good office work would be waiting already, and once you get the job, your life becomes better and very different from those who never went to school or even graduated. It's a big day lie..

These days, people who are graduates are doing menial jobs to survive. Some are surviving through the help of skills learnt. There is no job opportunity for many graduates. It is so bad in my country that people are shifting attention from schooling to skill acquisition and other self reliant job that they they don't have to wait for a white collar job anymore.

But I guess that's how things are soposed to be right? You graduate from school with good grades, and immediately you are called up for work by any available company. But things have changed recently and it seems that all the childhood stuffs were all lies.

 This is an idea that has been passed on from generations and now we're seeing that follwing the logical/traditonal path which is; getting a degree, owing a house and getting married early on doesn't entirely garantee success or a happy life. The only thing it guarantee is security, and that is what most parents want for their children. So they instill this traditonal method into them, and more often that not people end up doing things or choosing carrer path other than what they would've liked.
