It has happened in several locations where you discover some people in a relationship got it real as a result of inadequacy and in a non-transparent affair, there is nothing bad in being accountable to whatever thing you are doing, our personal must be able to attest to our capabilities and this is not what we should see as a weakness but instead as our strength to what we can do and what we can't, reckless gambling and addiction in gambling has ruined many relationship beyond recognition because the never stand understand each other and what is expected in balancing the two altogether.

An addicted person is just like one is possessed by something else, or someone under the influence of alcohol or drugs, he loses complete control and the only thing that matters to him just funding their addiction and they don’t even care whether they’re winning or losing anymore, they just wanna keep playing. I’ve heard several crazy stories about how far gambling addicts are willing to go just to make sure their fuel their addiction and I can say for sure that that isn’t a place anyone should find themselves.

When ones mindset is corrupted due to addiction is not good, because nothing good will ever happen, as it will bring problems upon problems and this can destroy their lives, as they might even commit suicide to the pressure and not everyone can be able to withstand pressure and when one is pressured, they can do all sort of thing such as lying and stealing, as some families don't really like lies, as it breaks homes, as there will be no trust between one another.

This is when the gambler becomes desperate with his gambling. They resort to betting whatever it will give to them. They don't care where they will get the money so long they can bet. That is why some gamblers will resort to desperate moves just to cater their gambling desires. And with that move, it means, they don't care anymore so long they can suffice their gambling needs. And this is quite scary for the family as they can put their family in danger position.

And that is why, there are families that have been torn apart owed to gambling. If one of the parents got hooked into gambling and there were consequences that can jeopardize the relationship of the members of the family, it can really have such impact, on a negative side.

This is an incredibly disgusting act, because a sick wife is a topic that requires maximum attention from her husband and care from him. There was no point in him taking the money intended for her treatment and trying to increase the amount of it.
I do not know what excuses he used to tell himself that he needed to use this money for gambling, but this is clearly a blatant case of complete immorality and personal corruption. I am sure that there are many such cases in the world, and it is a pity that so little attention is paid to the problem of addiction in gambling and betting.

It is very sad when one of the couple is in need of money for his recovery but on the other hand his partner uses the money to gamble, I doubt his love, but on the other hand sometimes it does not mean it is impossible to make such a crazy decision when someone is very addicted and I am sure the man was so addicted that he prioritized gambling over his wife, on the other hand this incident can also be a lesson for us that that is what will happen when you let yourself fall into addiction.

I have never had such a story and hope to never have it. I have been in heavily addiction before yet never to the point to use wife money for my desire of gambling. I know that addiction does not spare anyone and people heavily addicted have even done worse than using wife funds yet even have gone with arm to do robberies and they have been caught on the act, so lots of devastating things come from gambling addiction and using wife funds is one of them unfortunately.

People can tell lies, steal, betray and do a lot of things all because they are addicted to gambling and the worst part of tbis is that a gamblers life can be falling apart and they would not even be moved because their brain doesn't recognise the chaos at that point. I believe that it all starts with a little self-loathing, because at first we perceive the game as a place where there is no time to limit ourselves, and this is where it all begins. The most important thing is not to allow yourself to play or lose more than necessary. The second step is to lose a lot of money, which pushes us to find ways to win it back no matter what. Players do crazy things, and no one can stop them. Do you have a story of betrayal caused by addiction to gambling?

Well, nothing new, seen and read a couple of such stories and it's scattered every where on the Internet..

Here in Nigeria some time in 2024 if I still remember correctly, two love birds preparing for their traditional and white wedding that will finally tie them together as couples had saving of over 5 million in Nigerian currency saved in the young man's account, with most of the contribution coming from the lady because she earns far more money than the man does..

Long story short, the man ended up losing the entire money to betting, about a week to the wedding after cards had been printed and shared to family, friends and well wishers, the man told his wife to be that he lost all the money.
When asked why he would use such an important funds for betting, he said he was ashamed of himself because his wife to be was the one that contributed over 85 percent of the money, so he wanted to contribute as much as his wife-to-be contributed by doubling the money through sports betting.. But unfortunately, the games he used the money to bet on didn't play out as he predicted they would.. The lady carried her eyes out and almost committed suicide, but thank God for family and friends who were always around her until she managed to get over the trauma.

There are so many of life stories like this that I personally know of, some i know the persons it happened to in person, but I can't possibly share all in this one post, it will mean me writing a complete bible

This is one of the things that addiction can actually do to people "selfishness" some people will become so selfish that they won't care about other person's need or desire but instead they will be so carried away by ther own desire and satisfaction. Some folks can go as far as killing or doing all sorts of crime or illegal things just to get something they will use to gamble that is why is good one stay responsible and discipline why they gamble because it is a bad disease.

There was one story I saw that really struck a nerve in me and I couldn’t believe it. I think it was in this forum that I read that story, about a man who was obviously a gambling addict. Ran completely out of money to fuel his addiction, without any other option to raise money to continue gambling, out of his desperation, he went as far as kidnapping his own granddaughter, his granddaughter, I couldn’t believe it when I saw it. Demanded for some huge ransom but was apprehended by the police. There could be other things that may have led him into such act, but if you really dig deep, you’ll always find a trace of gambling addiction.

Just the casual friends/relatives borrowing money just to gamble but they reason out differently with their purpose. I felt betrayed for that since they have to lie. Going to this story of this husband, he's an addicted gambler and I can't think of the reaction of his wife for that. They've worked very hard for it but then since they're partners, he thought that whatever is his wife's is is also his. That's a serious betrayal of their relationship because it's for sure that the funds that he's spent are for their future but he gambled it all the way.

With today's advanced technology making gambling easier than ever, what should have been a convenience has instead become a major problem, as gambling addiction continues to rise.

I think stories like this should remind all of us to only gamble with money we can afford to lose. We also need to get rid of the mindset that gambling is a way to make money. That kind of thinking is what leads people to expect life changing wins, and that's often where the real problems begin.
