UEFA Conference League 2026/27 Season

The number of big clubs in this competition is so low that I never get interested in it until reaching the last stages.    Most of the time it gets more fun as of the semi finals.

That's why I'm not so sure about the future of the Conference League honestly. I know this place is a good opportunity for smaller clubs to do better things.

But we rarely see such clubs winning the title. It's been organized 5 times and 3 of the champions have been from the EPL.

The UEFA conference league is just 5th edition, it's still a new European competition that hasn't gotten so much attention like the Champions League and the Europa League, we need to give it some years and you will see big teams will become regular participants.

However, the teams that qualified from Europe top leagues should not be underestimated just because they are not the regular top teams across the various league, so we should accord them some regards because it's still an European competition. 0

As for EPL teams winning the conference league more, it could be that the Europa League and conference league is where they put more effort compared to the Champions League where English teams rarely win it.

As has already been said, i don't think that the teams are giving everything in these friendlies, for this reason they don't care much about demonstrating the true qualities of the team to the fans, those will only be seen once the actual championship has started, only then can we draw our conclusions.

I share this sentiment regarding the performances of some of the teams that have already played friendlies, as it's still too early to draw any firm conclusions. Furthermore, in the upcoming tournament, any team will have to contend with many more challenges, so any conclusions won't be accurate at this point, as the players haven't yet fully utilized their full strength.

Freiburg, Monaco, Brighton and Atalanta. These aren't only the big favourites in this qualification stage. The same is valid for the league phase and beyond also.

I favour Brighton the most for the title truthfully. English teams are on a different level man! You must have seen how much difficulty they have given to top PL teams so far. The Conference League is mostly like a playground for them.

I took a look at the Conference League third qualifying round matches, and there are still so many teams left 

I don’t know how many more qualifying rounds there are, but it can’t be possible for the tournament to be played with this many teams. From what I can tell, I think there will be a playoff round after this one, and the teams that advance from that will compete in the tournament. Right now, I don’t even know who most of the teams playing in the qualifiers are. Teams like Panathinaikos, Dynamo Kyiv, and Braga are the only ones that catch my eye.

After this round there will be play-off stage. You will see teams from Europa League then. When they lose in the 3rd qualifying round, they'll be relegated to the Conference League play-off stage.
In addition to that, teams eliminated in the Europa League play-off round will qualify directly for the Conference League group phase.

So a few more relatively strong teams will be joining this league.

Financially there isn't much difference between the Conference League and the Europa League, but in terms of quality there's a huge difference. That's why I think Turkish teams have a better chance in the Conference League. Unfortunately Başakşehir weren't able to take full advantage of that. If the Top 4 were to play in this league one day, their chances of success would be very high.

Am always going to take my chances with the team that represents the EPL or serie A, unless teams like Braga, Getafe, suddenly hits major form in the new season, then they become a threat a the sides am already rallying behind.  
The UEFA conference league might just be another competition to focus on as a sportsbettor because it might just be easier to predict the outcome of games than the EPL or la liga or even the Bundesliga.
