Beşiktaş won 3-0 and we can safely say they've secured their spot in the Europa League. They've now won 6 straight games without conceding a goal. All the fans will sleep soundly tonight. The score was great, but more importantly the performance was excellent. We've always talked about the finishing problems, they're gradually being resolved.

Italiano managed the team in such a way that you can even see the right back chasing goals up front. And we saw the result of that, Murillo scored.
Vlahovic came into the game in the last 30 mins, but by then the match had gotten very physical. That's why Beşiktaş had to slow down the tempo. I hope Trossard's injury isn't serious. The referee allowed too much rough play and just brushed it off with yellow cards.

Also, Amir's goal should've been allowed. The referee made a mistake there. Anyway, it's not that important for this round, but if this had happened during the league stage, it could've turned into a major scandal.


The other Turkish team Trabzonspor,lost at home. They signed Salah and flexed too much, but they're getting poor results since then. It might take them a long time to recover. In the meantime, they could drop down to the Conference League without even making it to the Europa League. Maybe that would actually be better for them, since the level of competition there seems more suited to them.

i’m reading what some fans in trabzon are writing criticizing salah, but isn’t it too early for that? the guy has only played two games, and the rest of trabzonspor isn’t exactly a fantastic team either. i think he needs more time to adjust. not everyone can start playing well right away..

Some fans are too emotional in the way they expect things to automatically work out just because they have signed a particular player to their club. A tree can't make a forest in same way Salah alone can't make the Trabzonspor play at it best when other legs in the team ain't contributing that much equally. Even in PSG there was a time they had Messi, Neymar, and Mbappe but they couldn't win the UCL. Salah needs time to blend with the team, the league pattern and the environment too. Sometimes, fans are just looking for where to push their anger onto.

Playing at home against Ferencváros, I was expecting Trabzonspor to put the tie to bed by winning with a wide margin but to my surprise, they failed to get even a draw.

Mohamed Salah was well received by the fans of his new club on the day he was unveiled. They made him feel the love they have for him, he should've reciprocated today by giving them a memorable experience.

I was not lucky to catch the live match but from the look of things, the scorelines clearly speak for themselves. Besiktas seem to be mentally locked in already, I guess they are ready to give this season's Europa League a good run. A lot of people on social media were very excited for Mo Salah's transfer to Trabzonspor and that expectation of him transforming the attack overnight is just not feasible because football requires team efforts. If the midfield and even the defense are unable to hold down their foundation, then no matter the legendary striker they have upfront, it won't be enough to turn games around.

It was a high expectation match for him and the fans, they hoped to see a lot from Salah today but he underperformed, wouldn’t like he didn’t perform though but, not having to deliver on expectation, didn’t get goals or an assist or even having to create lots of goal scoring opportunities. They've really built a great squad, and I hope they achieve the results they want throughout the season. I also really liked Rıvdan he had an impact on every goal, including an assist. Orkun Kökçü scored the other goal from a penalty. It was also nice to see Vlahovic today.

I was very happy that my team, Beşiktaş, won, but the opponent was very weak. Žalgiris couldn't even create a scoring chance against us.
We scored three goals, but we could have scored more.
The Žalgiris goalkeeper, who was at fault for the first goal, made some good saves in other situations.

After the match, Trabzonspor manager Fatih Tekke stated that they were looking for a striker.
There were many reports about them signing Nunez, but that transfer didn't happen. From what I gather from Fatih Tekke's comments, they held talks with many players but couldn't reach an agreement. Onuachu has started this season poorly; he is currently in very bad form. You can't rely on Salah alone; reinforcements are needed.

For me, the most interesting Europa League match today is Red Star Belgrade vs Viktoria Plzen. Red Star surprisingly crashed out of the Champions League qualifiers, and now they desperately need to redeem themselves in front of their fans. They have been in top form in the Serbian league, winning 3 games in a row. So playing at home, Red Star are more than capable of beating Viktoria.

For me too, this was one of the more interesting matches and I must admit that I was surprised by the convincing 3:0 victory of Red Star, I expected a much more even and uncertain match.
I also expected a victory for Trabzonspor against Ferencváros at home, but the guests won.
Thun is a very good and quality team that almost knocked Dinamo out of the Champions League qualifiers, so I don't understand what happened to them last night in the match against Lech Poznań, considering that they lost with a catastrophic 7:0.
It can be said, quite a few unexpected results and a very exciting qualifying round of this competition.

I was really surprised by Trabzonspor yesterday as they showed no superiority against a team which is lower in budget and quality compared to Trabzonspor. It was a night of many surprise results yesterday as most teams from the bigger ones were held to some draws. Besiktas had an easy job against a team that has made great progress coming here in play off finals of the tournament. Besiktas and also Trabzonspor has spent a lot of money to get good players they have and it was a surprise result that of Trabzonspor.

I wasn't that surprised that much concerning the Trabzonspor vs ferencvaros game last night because I said it yesterday that it's going to be very difficult for both teams, we forgot that they have met twice before yesterday game in the uefa Europa league in 2022 where Trabzonspor won 1-0 in the reverse fixture, while ferencvaros won Trabzonspor 3-2 in the first leg, so it's obvious that they will not be afraid of this Trabzonspor team.

I know that due to how Trabzonspor has strengthened their team this summer window, everyone was expecting them to show supremacy, but football is not like that, the new players will need a lot of time to acclimatize and get used to the environment, because if they have not hit the ground running, their presence wouldn't be felt in this Trabzonspor team.

Truly back then, Mohamed Salah performance in Liverpool club has a good record that he has ever contributed  in the  progress of Liverpool club being able of lifting trophies with his fellows players, although just in these past season Mohamed Salah has reduced a little from his usual days back then but that will never make Mohamed Salah from doing what he knows best when the need comes, so if Mohamed Salah played his first time game in Trabzonspor club and still performing very well in the first game, it means that Mohamed Salah can still do more better than this as the we progress in  the season.

I really liked the way Beşiktaş played last night. They gave their opponents almost no chances at all. Their opponents were weak, but still, Beşiktaş conceded almost no opportunities, constantly pressed high and kept their opponents pinned in their own half.
They won 3–0 very comfortably and in my opinion, they've already secured qualification. Since I don't expect a huge surprise, I want to congratulate Beşiktaş in advance.

I didn't watch Trabzonspor because I thought the Beşiktaş match would be more entertaining and it turned out to be that way. Trabzonspor also lost at home, which is a shame. It will be very difficult for them to win away, so they'll probably be eliminated. Hopefully I'm wrong and they manage to continue.

If Salah had scored that goal they would have ended in a draw but sadly he missed the opportunity of scoring his first goal for Trabzonspor. Salah should make sure he elevate his team because having a player like him in the team should give them enough confidence to win their matches.

Ferencvaros is quite experienced in terms of European competition but if we consider the quality of players in the squad of Trabzonspor, they are better experienced than the players of Ferencvaros.
