Dharmendra Pradhan Resigns, but what about Nirmala Sitharaman and Cryptos?

As we know, after the NEET paper leak and the CJP protests, Dharmendra Pradhan has resigned from the post of Education Minister. But are we completely forgetting about Nirmala Sitharaman?

She was the main person behind the high taxes in several areas, specially the 30% tax on cryptocurrencies.

There have been rumours that Nirmala Sitharaman may step down as Finance Minister and that a cabinet reshuffle could take place, with a new minister taking over. If that happens, do you think the new Finance Minister will reconsider the crypto tax, or will the government remain adamant and keep it at 30%?

If they are not willing to reduce the tax rate, then at least the government could:

• Allow crypto losses to be set off against gains.
• Make crypto tax laws simpler.
• Simplify the TDS rules.
• Provide clear tax guidance for staking, DeFi, and other digital assets like coins, NFTs.

Good luck with rallying middle class on this issue. Tax payers and crypto folks are minority. They are busy making money for them and government, they don't have street power, except their vote.

Nimmo tai won big when she announced no income tax payable up to 12.75 lakh. That's more than 12k usd in a developing country where per capita is hanging around $3k ish.

There are few conspiracies in crypto just because of these governments taking advantage and having 30% tax; otherwise, if they allow a few flexible rules and bring soft policies, they can gain much better tax through this. Having policies for people has never been easy for these culprits because they never want to allow people to live better.

Most politicians have a mentality at their lowest level just because of this: they always stay at these spots, but protests like these always bring good transparency because if things like these never happen, they can burn us on roads and then still feel ok because they want to stay in power till their last breath.

She was chosen as FM because she was trained by former FM Arun Jaitley. I think Mr Jaitley was far better than her, and I guess until there is a cabinet reshuffle, which I was hearing will happen in this session of Parliament, we will continue to see her as FM. Most of the decisions are taken by the bureaucrats and not by the ministers; what you said was correct.
