Today I came across a tweet by Bernie Sanders. It showed changes in the net worth of the world's richest people. He also compared this to the minimum wage, but that's not the main point I want to address.

There have always been ultra rich people in the world. But over the past two decades, the gap between these ultra rich and even other wealthy individuals has widened significantly. I'm not even counting the poor. A segment of society has emerged that possesses more wealth than any single person could ever consume, even if they lived for 10.000 years.

It seems unfair that there are so many ultra rich people in the world while hunger and poverty still exist in some parts of the world, that the gap remains so vast no matter how much charity they give.

I'm not envy of anyone's earnings, nor am I saying everyone should have the same income. Human desires are limitless, but isn't it strange for one person to possess so much? How long will this continue? Even as someone with an average income myself, I feel sorrow for people struggling with hunger and poverty. So how can these ultra rich people have a clear conscience? Frankly I can't understand it. If it's possible to change things in the world, the power lies in their hands. At least that's how it seems to me.

You may not be jealous but you are actually more angered about other people's wealth and to justify your anger to think you have sympathy for those who are poor.
Honestly if you care about proverty you don't need to be mad about these billionaires because if you are being honest thousands of direct and even millions of indirect jobs has been created by them, they have contributed in putting food on numerous amounts of people's table but you are very much angered by their wealth than actually what their presence has done to the world.

That’s a completely inappropriate comparison! It’s like comparing an athlete’s achievements to the "successes" of a person with disabilities.
You can’t compare the minimum wage (and keep in mind that this doesn’t mean everyone is paid that amount-it merely guarantees that wages cannot fall below that level) with the incomes of businesspeople who build and grow their own businesses.
 
Or let’s put it this way: let’s compare the minimum wage to, say, the income of the owner of a bankrupt company with massive debts. Then the comparison would do a complete 180, right?

And a question for those who are so outraged by these figures: if you want to change the situation, set your employees minimum wage to, say, $1 million! Is that a good solution? Or is that for someone else to decide?

Many complaint that why it is that the rich are always getting richer and the poor are getting poorer?

How many of us have been doing what these legends are up to? What are we sacrificing to make a change or to offer to our immediate generation something tangible to stand as a lifetime achievement? What each of us does with his time differs from each other, and that is why our achievements must also be different.

A poor man mentality will always remain adamant to explore for where opportunities are, this is the first instance why they remain poor because they never think outside the box, that is why when you see a poor man, quickly run to what's how it thinks and the associate it keeps and you will definitely know why he remained being poor, you cannot apply a shallow mentality with life and expecting to be as you wanted, the rich are doing so much everyday with their time to ensure that the invent on new things and creates new idea.

Typical average IQ brainwashed American response. I'm not a communist but you're an ignorant person who's been exposed to black propaganda your whole life and has never done any research of your own and don't understand what you read. If you stepped out of your echo chamber, you'd realize there are millions of different ideas in the world and that a better world is possible. But people who think like you don't like to step outside your comfort zone, you turn a blind eye to the atrocities people commit against one another and just keep consuming. You have no moral values whatsoever, you think of nothing but money. Humanity doesn't even matter to you. I watched the movie Bugonia the other day and your mindset perfectly illustrates why humanity is doomed to extinction.
