Altcoin Is a follow up game, QNT, was doubted, but rose 5x, the consistency is in finding alts with the right usecase and the capacity of company it could serve in the future or in the near term. Some top insider who may as a result of knowledge do figure out which alts the VCs are going for, and share with their peers or audience on social media.

Well, regular traders can make money this way, too. All it takes is patience and the ability to analyze the charts of altcoins that are still at the bottom. My point is that you don't have to be an insider to jump into the right altcoin at the right time. For example, with some altcoins, when they're still languishing at the bottom, you can notice an increase in trading volume while the price remains flat. In fact, this is one of the signals indicating that major players are accumulating the asset.

As for Lighter, yeah it could be good.  But compared to Hyperliquid, it's light years behind.  And if ever the devs do another airdrop...  Better make sure you'll be in it.

The trading volume of Hyperliquid is the highest amount the three and it is significantly higher. But it is followed by Asterdesk which is some billions dollar higher than the trading volume on Lighter.

It's a scam because they advertise that they have high volume but what it really is mostly wash trading.  And if you get really concerned when people call the dex that you invested in as a scam then I think you need to ask yourself if you made the right investment.

If somebody said that Hyperliquid as a scam then I brush it off and ignore the guy saying it because we all know it's not true.

Yep, since the beginning of this year, despite the bearish market trend, quite a few altcoins have pleasantly surprised their holders. Some of them were briefly pumped and dumped, while others, such as HYPE, have shown more consistent growth and remain on an upward trend.

Finding the right altscoin with the right user case and utility demand is the best way to go about discovering altcoins that could make at least 5x within the market trend or wave when the general cryptocurrency market is on a bull run, the most demanding thing for altcoins I the ability to ride in the wave of the market when the surge happens or their own ability to create the right market momentum to make a separate bull market for themselves, we have seen a few altcoins that surge so much in price even though the general crypto market wasn't moving on the same trends, so you see the difference in senerios that make identifying altcoins season hard to be generally picked.

As far as I recall, back at the end of last year, the DeFiLlama platform delisted Aster precisely because of suspicions of wash trading. The Aster team likely did this to compete with Hyperliquid, but in the end, they only made things worse for themselves.

As far as I recall, back at the end of last year, the DeFiLlama platform delisted Aster precisely because of suspicions of wash trading. The Aster team likely did this to compete with Hyperliquid, but in the end, they only made things worse for themselves.

There was also accusation that Aster has no much high numbers of whales, that they are only few. Although, I do not think all these accusations have evidence. But if a project is having such accusations, it is better people should be careful. There are other bad things I later find out about the exchange which is making their token discouraging.

As of now (early Oct 2026), BTC dominance is in the 58-59% range, and the CMC Altcoin Season Index is in the 60s, up from a low in the 20s a month ago. Currently, the official altseason threshold is 75, which is still a ways away... but rotation is taking its first steps.

With regards to the 30-50x returns, I believe that's less and less common these days, but it's not gone. ZEC is a good example, but it's not representative of the entire market. But money is being poured into certain stories, and a selective altseason, rather than a 2017 repeat, is what I'd expect to see. This cycle, 10x would be a fantastic outcome for mainstream alts.

Agreed I will be very happy with a few alts giving me a 10x this cycle.

Times change, we cant always expect 50x returns but there are still some that will, just have to get lucky in that sense.

But for me this time round i am just focusing on a few alts i feel can give me 10x next few years.

Yeah, that does sound like a good idea. It's better to choose a few projects that you're passionate about, and simply ride them through the dry times.

Such gains do happen, but typically they only show up on a very small number of coins and no one can predict in advance which ones. I would call them a bonus and not a plan. Frankly, if I make a good pick based on research, I really win.

Investors failed to do their due diligence on those coins before investing in them, when Aster was launched alot of hype was created around the project that drive small investors attention to the project and now that the value of the coin failed to appreciate since it crashed, most of this disappointed investors are now making a lot of accusations about the coin reputation and the team behind, we cant blame entirely when the team failed to be transparent with the Major coins holder's I meant whales who's activities can help to push the price of the coin up back to at least somewhere half it all time high price.
