Ajax won 0-4 today, is it safe to say they are so back?

I don't think it's time yet, they did indeed win by 4 goals, but the opponent they defeated was Telstar, which is not a strong team. It would be safe if the team they beat by 4 goals happened to be Feyenoord, PSV, or at least AZ. By the way, I'm amazed by AZ early season results, they haven't dropped a single point. 4 matches & 4 wins, unexpected result so far in the Eredivisie.

In my opinion, the most entertaining matches in Europe take place in the Dutch league. Yesterday, I watched the AZ Alkmaar vs. Go Ahead Eagles game; there were seven goals in total. Watching the match makes you want to place live bets. AZ took an early 1–0 lead, but GAE responded immediately to make it 1–1. It was impossible for GAE to withstand AZ's attacking power. AZ found another goal in the first half, heading into the break with a 2–1 lead.

You gotta love the eredivisie man, I checked the goal stats for all games starting from match-day 1 to match-day 4 and every single match had at least 2 goals. I don't watch all games, just a few selected ones like PSV, Ajax, Feyenoord ands sometimes, NEC. So there is no way I would have seen the AZ game. I think the Eredivisie is one of the best attacking leagues and as someone that likes offense more than defense, my interest align a lot with this league.

For gamblers who likes using the option of over goals and BTTS, the Eredivisie and the Turkish super league are strong targets because those leagues matches produces a lot of goals, the Bundesliga is not also exempted. All the matches in the Eredivisie played over 2.5 goals this week and the matches that played today, all played over 3.5 goals. The only problem with the Eredivisie is that very soon the bookies will start publishing low odds for over goals.

It is possible that Ajax is back to their winning form, they have a match in hand of which of they win they will be in same points with PSV Eindhoven. AZ Alkmaar is at the top after winning their 4 matches, i don't trust their stay over there because Ajax or PSV Eindhoven might dethrone them soon.

In the Turkish league, matches involving Fenerbahçe and Galatasaray—especially Galatasaray—are prime candidates for "Over" goal bets. When these teams play at home, options like "Over 2.5 Goals" and even "Over 3.5 Goals" become viable choices.
As for the Dutch league, as previously mentioned, matches involving teams like PSV, AZ, and Feyenoord tend to be high-scoring affairs. I cannot say the same for Ajax; in recent years, the team has looked nothing like the Ajax of the past.
Even though they won 4-0 away yesterday, they are still a long way off from regaining their former strength.

Here I agreed its still start and Ajax needs to keep their momentum if they want to have their season on track on 5th September they are going to host PSV this game is going to be important for both clubs but here if Ajax able to show their performance with good result they are going to be have good season with good chance of having good end.
AZ Alkmaar is off to a good start with 4 out of 4 wins; most chances are they will keep the top spot for a few more weeks if they are also going to play like this in the coming round.
A few top teams are going to face each other; it's going to have a good chance at league table spots as well because right now all teams are giving their best and want to take good advantage as well.

Don't expect Ajax to beat teams like AZ Alkmaar, Feyenoord, or PSV by a four-goal margin anytime soon.
Matches between them might be high-scoring, but unless there is an early red card or something similar, I don't think any of these sides will defeat the others by a four-goal difference.
It is not surprising that Ajax scored four goals away against a team like Telstar. Telstar is one of the weakest teams this season and will likely be fighting to avoid relegation.
I, too, am curious to see how Ajax will fare against strong teams.

Damn, how high scoringround it was. PSV afters tough start of season made 1:6 staement against struggling Utrecht. Twente also got big win against Cambuur away. AZ 5:2 win vs Go Ahead Eagles is also impressive. From big teams only Feyenoord dropped points, but in their draw with Den Haag there was 4 goals scored.

I wouldn't make conclusions after just one game, especially when they played not against strongest team. Their next game is with PSV, it will be much better indication what they are capable to do.

The Dutch league is a league with a lot of goals pouring. Interesting fixture between these two top dogs. I can agree with the both sides scoring, but not with the away side PSV taking the win and all three points. Maybe we will see an improvement with Ajax defence otherwise, they'll be punished.
I don't expect anything more than a draw. I'd say, maybe 1-1 becomes the final score.

Besides, the last five fixtures between them indicates Ajax dominating with two wins and three draws. My prediction stands, a draw.

Difficult question. It's still early phase of season and it makes things less predictable. PSV had slow start, but now they got pace and scored 11 goals in recent 2 games. While Ajax is also in good shape, but they concede quite a lot goals. I think Ajax finally found right coach. Yeah, Michel relegated with Girona last year, but what he has done in previous seasons was amazing.
Not going to back anyone and I guess odds for over 2.5 goals will besomething like 1.20, so maybe I will go with over 3.5.

Both Ajax and PSV have been mediocre this season just like they have been in recent times. They were the face of the Dutch league but over the years the have degraded to the point that betting them statistics win has become a tough decision to make. Their meeting this weekend is not giving a clear favorite but replying on H2H which you mentioned shows Ajax as the favorite. However, knowing that offset is possible for such a match, I will be staying away from betting on that game as there are better matches to bet from that league.

I don't think Ajax is capable of defeating PSV, Feyenoord and  AZ Alkmaar  freely and scoring up to 4 goals but i will not argue much, any gamblers analyze that those matches can produce goals, where by both teams can score each others, so the match between Ajax vs PSV on Saturday is going to be credible one in these seasons because it is gone on those when Ajax was dominating the Netherland League, so if I'm to predict on these match, i will predict that Ajax vs PSV are going to score each others but to figure out which clubs to win on that Saturday is what I'm not too sure of.

I'm not a big fan of using head-to-head results for betting predictions. Considering 1 or 2 most recent games is fine, but looking too far back can give you a distorted picture. Teams, their squads and abilities, can change really fast, and what a club from 2 years ago can be completely different to what they are now.

I believe in their last game, PSV had a massive points advantage and either already had the championship secured or were very close to that, so they could afford to take it easy.

A double chance bet is not a bad idea, but to me, this is the type of game that is good to watch but really tricky to bet on, so I'm staying out of this one.

In this game, my prediction was BTTS but that was unfortunately the wrong pick as Ajax kept a clean sheet in this match. The last three games has being impressive for Ajax and one noticeable improvement is how much the attack has grown, scoring 2+ goals in each match.

Though I would not conclude that they could be favorite for the league trophy this season but it is evident that they would be top contenders for PSV and Feyenoord who are currently the most likely to win the league trophy.

I just saw something interesting in the match between Sparta Rotterdam and PEC Zwolle. In this ongoing Round 5 match both teams were tied at one goal apiece in the first half. And the way those goals were scored was similar to their previous meeting in Round 26 last season, where Zwolle scored a quick equalizer after conceding a goal. But the difference now is that Sparta Rotterdam was the one to score that quick equalizer in the first half. I personally believe this shows that these two teams are evenly matched and neither is willing to lose points through a defeat. And I predict that the second half will most likely end in a draw as well. The first half of the Sparta Rotterdam vs Zwolle match has just ended. And I’m really looking forward to the rest of the match in the second half. I hope a draw will indeed hold until the end of the match. Let’s see what the upcoming second half brings.

It's very early in the season, so way too soon to jump into any meaningful conclusions, but AZ Alkmaar have been looking really solid in their first 4 games.
They won all of them, scoring 13 goals combined (averaging 3.25 per game) and conceding only 3. Defensively, only Ajax have been better than them (2 goals conceded).

It's hard to predict how well they will perform against stronger teams, i.e. the big 3. Although they played against PSV just before the start of the season in the Johan Cruyff cup and surprisingly beat them 4-0, it was largely due to an early red card for PSV player that set the tone for the rest of the game.

This weekend AZ are playing away against Herenveen. They are the favourite but not a big one. Betting on them can earn you around x1.8. It's a bet worth considering if we assume their first 4 wins were not a coincidence.

How is PSV medicore this season, when they are literally unbeaten. Moreover most of their matches has been ending with lots of goals scored. For now PSV are still the strongest team in the league, which why I expect them to beat Ajax.  Although looking at their h2h for the last 5 meeting Ajax has won 2 and drew 3. It's going to be a tight match, but I will give PSV to get a narrow win, probably 1-0/2-1.

This is almost the final verdict for the season just after a few weeks. What are the chances that Ajax can put PSV to the test this season after this loss? I think the chance is literally nonexistent. In the season 24/25, it was probably as close as it could get, but the times that Ajax was dominating the league are long over. Losing 1:3 at home is not only a single lost match, but a serious statement for the whole season. I don't think any surprises can and will happen this year.

What is really going on with Ajax? It's been about 5 seasons when they last won the Eredivisie title. They used to be the dominant team in the Netherlands Eredivisie but PSV Eindhoven has taken that mantle away from them because they are now currently the dominant team since about 3 seasons that they won the title consecutively.

The match between Ajax and PSV Eindhoven was really a tensed match which is why it recorded a lot of bookings, Ajax had 3 bookings while PSV Eindhoven had 6 bookings, I was even scared for PSV not to get a red card. Ajax had the ball possession but PSV won the match because they played more tactical game than Ajax. PSV is now at the top temporarily, while waiting for the result of AZ Alkmaar which will determine if they will still remain at the top or AZ Alkmaar will return back to the top if they win their match against Heerenveen tomorrow.

PSV continue there unpredictable run, for a match like this especially Ajax playing at home and with how pleasantly they have been playing since the start of the season, I had expected Ajax to either win or draw but yet again PSV decided there own faith, PSV needs to come back to there winning ways and I hope this match will be the first step to that
