Hi Guys, nice to be here! I tell you our Story first.
It all started with a simple question: can you really mine Bitcoin with a few graphics cards in a basement? In 2012 we put the first machines into a cool Reykjavík basement – the power already came from geothermal energy, and the Icelandic weather threw in the cooling for free. The weekend project quickly turned serious.
In the years that followed we learned everything mining involves: fine-tuning firmware, sizing power supplies, building cooling ducts, fixing outages in minutes rather than days. We took machines apart and put them back together until we could recognise every hum in the rack by its sound. For twelve years we mined locally like this – through bull markets, bear markets, halvings and countless difficulty adjustments.
At some point we asked ourselves a new question: why keep this knowledge to ourselves? Three years ago we launched HASHFACTORY cloud mining. The same hands that have maintained miners for over a decade now look after your machines – you pick a model, we handle setup, power, cooling and maintenance. No noise in your living room, no heat, no tinkering. Just the result.

Milestones
2012
It all begins with a handful of graphics cards in a cool basement in Reykjavík. Curiosity turns into passion.
2015
The basement becomes our first small hall. We learn to optimise firmware, build cooling and count every watt.
2018
Full switch to 100 % renewable energy – geothermal and hydro. Efficiency becomes our craft.
2020
The team grows to 25 people: engineers, hardware technicians, energy specialists and support.
2022
We open up our infrastructure: HASHFACTORY cloud mining launches – the same hardware, the same team, now accessible to everyone.
Today
From the Reykjavík data center we run miners around the clock – sharing 12 years of experience with our customers.
