Many merchants do accept lightning Network, the thing is where you planned to spend your Bitcoin don't accept LN and that's fine, but you instead use this to accept and assume that merchants around the world aren't accepting Bitcoin LN, this is wrong, because I was like this too in the past, I judged things differently then, I have used bitcoin to pay for things online than my credit card but many of those online stores don't support LN, then I used that to judged every stores online until not too long ago, it's probably the same case with you OP, how many online stores have you used so far? You haven't done enough research is all, many are accepting LN.
I have been interested in this for some time, but I was not doing enough research about where things are working perfectly due to personal issues, but now I have done good work and am feeling good because enough merchants are accepting this Lightning Network. As we all know, there is enough potential for the use of Bitcoin, but it is currently not near, while the Lightning Network also has enough with its needs for more acceptance and use for having better results. In many regions, people are still not having enough knowledge. It is also needed to be spread because as it has improved, more beneficial things will appear for users and merchants. Also, a few countries are always ahead in the use of the development of technology. This makes things amazing for their people, but in a few places where they are still fighting for acceptance or not, it is really a problem.
We sometimes find ourselves mistakenly assuming that if we don't hear about it from the merchants we know, then it isn't being adopted. Businesses and services are already available, and Lightning is available in varying amounts across countries and across industries. The real difficulty is not just merchant acceptance, as it's also convincing users of where and how they can actually use Bitcoin with Lightning. Lightning can be a much more viable every day payment solution as adoption, wallet usability, liquidity and education continue to grow. Their ubiquity, low cost and speed of transaction will give them a useful future, even if they can't replace all payment methods.
