Well Russia is probably looking for a way around current sanctions and how to avoid future sanctions, because at one time they were quite hostile to crypto.  Also, your deep state statement is myopic as if republicans aren't part of the deep state.  You didn't explicitly state this but rather implicitly.

I believe the Clarity Act will fail unless conflict of interests limits are placed on federal officials, in particular the president.

The clarity act will be approved eventually. It's a matter of when, not if. I'm already getting used to how US politics and regulatory processes work. They just endlessly delay things like this even though they need for their own country too. The reason why I think they will accept this bill is because US stand to lose more if they don't approve it. Coinbase has opened threatened to take their business elsewhere and I think most crypto projects will migrate out of US too if it's not approved. And let's not forget that US is trying to become the capital or Headquarters for all things crypto. It's the same way US is the capital of AI.

Not this year, but the chance will be higher next year, I don't think Clarity Act will go through on 14-15 september vote because it's near midterms and even if there is enough time, the Democratic side wants broader restriction to bar the President and families from issuing or sponsoring digital assets, even the already operating ones. FYI, the odd in prediction market for the Clarity Act to pass is low for 2026 but pretty high for Q3 of 2027 around 70% if I remember correctly.

This clarity act won't get passed. Even if it's getting delayed, and it's gonna be fail with the current draft. I doubt the current clarity act will get at least 7 senates from democrates to vote it while you know democrats already blocked it. So lower your expectation for this bill to get passed.

Even Ben McKenzie has celebrated this democrats effort to block the clarity act.

Regulation have never been a huge benefit to users because their main purpose is to manage and control us. But that does not mean they're completely useless. Having a clear legal framework can help minimize fraud and make the market more transparent.

As I understand it, the core purpose of the clarity Act is to distinguish between digital commodities and digital securities, which has been a major point of contention between the SEC and CFTC. The bill also require exchanges to meet certain standards for asset custody, anti money laundering compliance...Isn't that a good thing?

We can't expect the government to protect us and fight for our fairness while also refusing to pay taxes or be monitored. Everything comes at a cost.

Most likely it will be approved in a later date. Although it has been projected to pass last month of July, it has a lot of resistance. There are a lot of entities involved here, big one that is clashing against each other.

But obviously, Trump is still in the power and sooner or later his opponents cannot handle the pressure despite some lobbyist in the Congress. Love it or hate it, might be good for crypto after all if it's been approved.

Chances of approval became questionable now, because it faced lots of delays and also resistant from various sector.

This law might not pass as fast as what people think, but there's provably a chance that US government will approve it. Since for sure they don't want to get left behind by many countries that plans to create regulatory framework on digital assets.

If Clarity act will successfully pass for sure it will give positive result to stable coins and those businesses that adopts crypto since finally it gives them now legal clarity.

But hopefully it will not lead people towards possible effect it can give on Bitcoin, since for what I see it will not give direct impact in this coin, but let see maybe people think bullish after this law passed.

It should pass in my opinion. Although bankers are not happy and they will do anything to make sure that it is not passed without considering what's in for them. I feel they're the biggest issue to not seeing it passed because both the Democrats and Republicans are big bitcoin holders who will also want to see it passed.

I will not say they hate crypto, they just fear irrelevance in my opinion.

Even the president moves towards cryptocurrency although, he is more of a more minded man at the moment. In between, I have seen senators in the house who wants to see them passed. They should mobilise themselves to get shit done. Maybe not anytime soon, but most definitely.

After watching and waiting for the Clarity Act decision, I came to the conclusion that in my opinion the Clarity Act was used as a game of political attraction that would continue to be uncertain about the decision. On the one hand those who are pro continue to fight to be truly legalized but on the other hand those who refuse hard enough have strong space. So ultimately the Clarity Act won't actually make the crypto industry free for all banks unless its policies filter through regulatory requirements and restrictions.

I don't know about the banks because they are just trying to protect their interest, but for the Democrats, I can't say they hate crypto. They only ask for ethical provisions. You can't blame them when they see the way politicians, including their president, are using their position to exploit the crypto market.

Man, i know it's good thing to make crypto  legitimate to use because it will be treated as a digital commodities. Nevertheless, it will be benefiting for the brokers, not users.

However, the problem is that much more complicated than that. Look at how democrats intentionally blocking this to be passed. So it's not only about yes or not, but there is also political reason involved here.

Republican has only 53 seats while it needs at least 60 seats to be passed. So if all of democrats abandon it, then it will never get passed. Also there are still loopholes in this draft that still needs to be fixed.
