US Clarity Act: Will it pass?

It's only right for alts, but not for bitcoin. The fact that bitcoin gets no benefit from this draft because it's a legitimate asset because it's considered as a commodity in US and ruled under CTFC. So this draft is only making the altcoin to be seen in the same state as bitcoin(commodity).

On other hand, seeing so many democrats who feel contradicted with this makes me skeptical this will be passed.

Right. Because altcoins are considered as securities by the US government. I remember when former SEC chairman Gary Gensler used to classify altcoins as securities. The Clarity Act might be the ideal solution for altcoin adoption. But I'm having my doubts whenever it will pass and become law.

Like I've stated before, there's too much resistance from Democrats. At least we know, Bitcoin will carry on as usual regardless of what regulatory approach the US government takes. Only if it remains decentralized and censorship-resistant, of course.

Not this year, but the chance will be higher next year, I don't think Clarity Act will go through on 14-15 september vote because it's near midterms and even if there is enough time, the Democratic side wants broader restriction to bar the President and families from issuing or sponsoring digital assets, even the already operating ones. FYI, the odd in prediction market for the Clarity Act to pass is low for 2026 but pretty high for Q3 of 2027 around 70% if I remember correctly.

Crazy how most people think it won’t be passed this year, I mean the majority must have a good sense of this as I feel like anything can happen but usually the majority rules. I think there is still hope to pass in the next few months but it would take a miracle and I would have to agree that most likely this will happen in 2027. Shoot if hope it did though, could you imagine the bull market that would ensure once it does pass?

It seems the senate focus into other factor so apparently this year there is no chance for the Clarity act to get passed but for sure there are more need for the supporting details, so if ever this will get passed is there is a potential for being cleared how does the actual process and gets regulate some of the establishment now will applied the use of the crypto because now this will considered as a legal so for me still hoping at 2026, but it seems if this happen after halving possible there is a huge market surge might happen.

According to my information the future of the American Clarity Act is still pending due to differences and I think the final vote on it in the Senate has been postponed until mid-September 2026 due to sharp disagreements over the ethics clauses and the stability of the banking system.

If the law is passed with the amendments that most crypto companies have agreed to, I think it will be in the best interest of the industry in general because it will create a more open environment. But if some clauses are amended to align with the interests of banks and bankers it will most likely not be positive.
