How True is this about China Products

All countries are making fake products, that is the reason governments have regulators that certified original products made in the country and the ones imported.

But what you are talking about are substandard products. They are not fake but they may have the characteristics of fake products.

Yes everybody should know that China make substandard products. You should expect things that are cheap to be substandard.

Let's not only focus on China, because no country is exempted when it comes to producing fake products. And most of the fake products with made in China writen on them were not actually made from China. Let me use Nigeria to cite example, there is a place in Nigeria called Aba, a city in Abia state. In this place different types of products are manufactured and after producing them some people usually write made in China on those products, while they were never made in China, rather it was made in Aba, Aba made products.

You are correct, I’m from Nigeria and I know about this products produced in Aba in Nigeria and then written made in china.
They do this so that people can patronize them, because if they produce it and write, it made in Aba or made it in Nigeria, a lot of people will not buy it.
Majority of the fake product in Nigeria is made in Nigeria. It is not made in China.
There was a time that I saw in the news where they caught people making fake drinks in a bush in Nigeria.
I know that China also produce fake products and send to Nigeria, but majority of the products in Nigeria that are fake are from Nigeria and not from China.

Same china that is accused mostly of making counterfeit product are owners of most of the things we see in the market. China just have that ability of making a product and equally making a copy of a product selling it at a much cheaper rate. it is left for the buyer to go for what is either of quality and that is not all that affordable or to go for a china product that might not be that of standard but that is at the same time much cheaper.

The things is that they have a market that is known the different part of the world and to an extent, massive demand might lead to the production of inferior product to meet up the demand. it is not something that is just peculiar to china alone, other countries and literally all countries have local product that are just a copy of some of these foreign product.

Their relationship and trade within the global south has increased massively. I don't deny it, there are good producers and bad producers who do it to make profits.

Chinese are fully in support of a sovereign Iranian government in the middle east and they have done everything to de-escalate the war and also provide Iranians with radar detectors. I have never seen such a news and I will tag it to be pure speculations until I see the Iranians talk about it. It use to be the talks or should I say propaganda going around to paint them as subpar. What i can say is that,  they have good quality. Those reduction in quality is what we get from those attempting to make money sampling quality products. If they sell fake products more, the high demand for their products around the world won't be this high up.

Fond is a strong word to tag China with. Basically, it sounds like an accusation against the Chinese market. 

Most appliances used over here are all gotten from the China market. From my TV, microwave, gas cooker, air conditioner, and washing machine, it was purchased in the country but imported directly from China. China has several brands that produce the same goods, but you can't compare the quality, as one may be of higher quality than the other. China is not fond of producing fake products. Those making this accusation are possibly broke or could not afford quality products from China.

China and Hong Kong accounts for 74% of counterfeit goods circulating in the global market, the issue with an increasing number of illicit products is the large number of manufacturers in different parts of the world. Monitoring the quality of goods the supply chain has proven impossible since production shifted from a few manufacturers to a larger number of nations making and producing goods. The industry is growing stronger financially, it's worth a trillion dollar, roughly everything in the market is counterfeit, China is not the only suppliers of such goods, they're only leading the industry.

Yellow people can make anything as long as there is a demand for it, but your thread sounds like China only creates fake products which isn't true.

For example, most of the iPhones sold around the world are still manufactured in China which proves that they also make the best product of its kind, but they can also make a fake iPhone for less than $50 and sell it to people who can't afford an original but want to show off like they have one.

This has been a thing from when i was a kid and probably way before it. I remember people talking about Chinese piracy production on clothes brands in 90s. Back in time those didn't have good reputation, because they didn't hold up with standards of the west.

These days, while there are weaker products out there, most of the production has moved to china anyway, so they can easily match the standards on pirated products if they want. So there's often no quality difference between fabricated Levi's products and fake ones. And if you want good knock off electronics from china that are still cheaper then in the west, then just don't buy the cheapest ones because those are garbage by default.

In Nigeria we normally joke that anything fake is Chinese made. It has become a common way to downgrade a products we find less original. But the truth is China also produces based on what the client asks for. If a company goes to China and says they should Copy a product and make it cheap!! Then that's exactly what they will get. The manufacturer is just following orders. The real blame should go to the people demanding those copies, not the factory making them. China also produces world class technology. The same factories that make fakes also make high quality phones and gadgets that compete globally. So it is really not fair to label products from China as fake. It really depends on who is placing the order and amount they are willing to pay.

There is no denying that the problem of counterfeit products in China is real. Also I saw that OECD data also shows China as the largest source of counterfeit products. However it would not be right to call this a characteristic of the entire manufacturing industry in China, because the same country also produces many legitimate products in the world. The real problem is that some factories or sellers in the vast supply chain take advantage of this and release copies of the original brand into the market.  For example if you buy a charger or earphone that looks similar, it is difficult to tell from the outside whether it is original or just another product using the same factory standard.
However, if you think about it from another perspective, most of the people of our country can not afford the original product, because where an original earphone costs 20-30$, the product you want can be bought for $1-2.

While reading through this post, a funny thought came to my mind and it relates well with the writeup.
Is there a difference between a replica and fake/counterfeited ?. Like... I know that replicas are not actual fake, but if they're neither the original, does that not make them fake

And as for the question, I don't think China is fully focused on producing fake items. They might be into making replicas, but considering the fact that I'm yet to accept that replicas and fakes are the same thing, it wouldn't be fair of me to conclude that they make fake items. They're literally one of the biggest players in the consumer market when it comes to making end user products. As far as I'm concerned, they're just good at what they do.

But the truth is China also produces based on what the client asks for. If a company goes to China and says they should Copy a product and make it cheap!! Then that's exactly what they will get. We can't denied that fact that china is that major producers of the things we are currently using in Nigeria which our people feels like they only or basically involves in inferior goods but not so. China will only produce the quantity and quality of what you want them to produce.
Blaming china for producing inferior item which is literally not there fault. Aside producing for African countries they also produce for other countries with better quality than we get in Africa which is mostly nased on order.

China produces aiming every categories of customers, and sells to every pockets' sizes. They sell cheap fake products for people who can afford that, but they also sell pretty expensive ones for industries and big companies. Moreover, they have their own original brands as well, although we can argue they were also inspired in foreigner products... But then I ask you, what products existing right now weren't inspired in previous ones?

It's undeniable China knows how to deal in international level and that they are a very hard working people on that matter. And after all, they gather the fruits of the their labor.

Strictly speaking, iPhones aren't manufactured in China, they're assembled there. Because the core technology, design, and brand rights all belong to the US. But China also has plenty of good products under its own brands, such as Huawei and Lenovo, and their quality is not inferior to American products.

They can produce cheap counterfeit goods, but that's also driven by market demand, so we can't really blame them for that. Instead, the fact that they can copy and produce branded goods at such low costs shows just how impressive their manufacturing capabilities are. Something no other country has been able to achieve.

What i have to say regarding this is that we should know what we wanted and be able to verify the genuity of any item we are buying both locally and internationally, if you cannot confirm the quality of what you are buying then you may be sold the counterfeit products without knowing, the funniest thing is that people will even sell it at a more higher price than bringing it down, while we should also be suspicious when we see a cheaper items being sold beyond reasonable doubts, such could be for a reason we may not know until we start using the item.

I know that Chinese products are everywhere in Nigerian households and I believe that it is so in many countries, but unfortunately I see a lot of fake Chinese products in our market and I always feel very sad because from what I heard Chinese producers don't export fake products to every country, they choose countries where they export fake products, I don't know how true the claim is. What I also heard is that Chinese producers will produce any quality that importers from our country wants and most of them tells them to produce mass production with lesser qualities so that they will make a lot of profit.

If you want genuine Chinese products you will have to shop in established stores that import their products directly from China, because they don't want to compromise their reputations. I believe that if China, regulates their exports to make sure that it is only high quality goods that they export it would help their imagine a lot.

I think China is very good when it comes to production, and we can all see how that has boost their economy.  It will be unfair to say that they produce fake product, because they also have very good products. I think every country also produce fake or counterfeit products, but I think this thing about China producing fake or counterfeit product is something of the past that people still associate with them. In my opinion I really don't think they produce fake products, because when you purchase some product,  especially clothes, you see that it's designed in the US, but produced in China, so I don't think that makes it fake or counterfeit.
