Is it just me or there are other people too? So far only two friends and a family confirmed this so far, there is something about this weather that's making people feel sick.

It started on the last Saturday, I started feeling weird then a nasty headache took over, I hardly get headaches so I took some painkillers and on Sunday it got out of hand, I had to visit the hospital on Monday morning.

Yes I was born in the 80s, millennial to be precise, and I care too less about how I look, but it's a thing that people always look at me like someone who knows nothing, techy? Far from it.

I have had similar encounter in a public transportation last month when a guy was accessing his crypto wallet without being skeptical that the environment might not be conducive to flag his wallet like that.
I thought of tapping and whispering him about the risk of what he was doing in exposing his privacy but I had to think twice that if anything should happen to the guy in the journey I might be hold responsible which I see my intention as truly intruder. So I have to swallow my thoughts to safeguard my head.

I went far thinking since I don't know a trace of the guy that my endeavours to encourage him may have even been an indictment and also put me to risk because at some bad circumstances I may have just drawn a risk threat to myself because, for me to be that knowledgeable about the security risk of exposing wallet and privacy, that should signify that I am also owning Bitcoin which lies the point where I will be at risk.
Possibly my good intention on the guy may have turned against me, so I better mind my business.

I don't know what that has to do with generations, because I think things like this are also done by many people (of other generations too). It is more about ignorance and indifference towards the security of the assets they own, that they don't realize that importing something as sensitive as that in a public place not only endangers their assets, but also their own lives, as there have been many cases of invasion and being held hostage because they don't care about their security in public places. People like this will usually, sooner or later, learn how valuable their privacy and security are.

Things like this are happening on so many people don't know they are the reason to why their wallet was being hacked or why scammers end up taking away their assets from them, you must be smart at all you do, privacy is very important in Bitcoin and this is what many dots pay attention to the most, you cannot treat your bitcoin the same way you handle your bank, not to talk of the wallet security and privacy, the best we will do to help in sex situation is by learning more safety measures to put in place with our Bitcoin.

This is a foolish action, anyone who understands wallet security systems would never do that in public. Or they might think that the surrounding conditions are still safe enough for the secrecy of their seed. I don't really understand what the situation was like at that time; if you are a good person, you might warn them. If you are a bad person, you might try to steal their seed. The most important thing is to stay positive about their behavior. We can only make it the best moment for what we should not do. So that we will not make the same mistakes with our own Seed.

This is a good experience that's worth sharing for the sake of our wallet safety. We have to be very observant about our surroundings and people around us at every point in time not just about bitcoin wallets or at least, being very conscious of the environment while opening our wallets. So many beginners are this careless, they assume that everyone else is ignorant and knows nothing about modern tech, they get so full of the fact that they think that only them know the concept of bitcoin. With camera around, his wallets can be emptied in a second. It's not only about emptying his wallets, he can also face security issues if the wrong eyes sees his balance in bitcoin. I personally don't feel comfortable knowing that anyone else is looking into my screen whenever I'm using my devices because I can randomly open my sensitive apps and information gets leaked. This information is very important for beginners safety and experience.

Old enough I believe, since my mates already have multiple children between 38 to 43, I was born in the 80s and things around me are just slow, I was never in rush in making life decisions and right now I'm benefitting from that alone.

Its not new hearing some Genz called me old, I remember I went to a boutique in February of this year and the boys in that store called me old right to my face, hehe, it's nothing new, it's just how people thinks here because I don't believe that anyone in the range of 40yeras is old.

Over excitement or urgency, whatsoever, I don't know the particular one that makes some newbies and regular only users to public do some wallet actives when they know that someone could catch a view of what they are doing, aside the possibility of a passerby gaining access to the person's wallet, if they are able to obtain the seed phrase, there is another danger attached to such habit, someone could see that you have a money in crypto and they will decide to launch physical attack on the person. There are cases of physical attacks on crypto users before and this kind of public exposure of wallet active might have lead to some of those cases. I won't dear open my wallet when am not in my house or when am not alone in space. If there is urgency that will make me do that, I won't do it when strangers are around me.

I've had a near similar situation, but mine was not Bitcoin it was just a normal bank account,  I was sitting next to a guy that is a social media content creator, then I was doing my Msc, and he was an undergraduate young fella that sat next with me in a school bus going back home. Initially I didn't know he was a social media content creator, it was because of the videos he kept on playing on his phone as we are moving that I saw from his phone that he was a content creator, he knew I was sitting next to him and I was literally seeing what he was doing on his phone, the next thing the young man did was to go to his Meta page, to probably show off his balance and how much has accrued to his account, he opened the page and I saw what was there, it was quite a good amount of money but I didn't even flinch, I knew he was a Gen Z that just wanted to show off.

It's obvious the boy is naïve, you could have done the least to educate him on the dangers of what he is doing. I don't talk much about crypto outside, but I drop few pointers when I observe someone endangering his assets. Illiteracy sits at the top of the list of what makes people loose their coins, maybe he was importing the seeds over free hospital wifi as well which is another point of failure.

You don't even need to write in order to capture his seed, these days people wear eye glasses that have cameras embedded in it and if you had such glasses, you may have stolen his seeds with minimal effort.

Could also be some kinda show-off Or he's just moving funds out of a victim wallet or he just doesn't  care about privacy at all nor does he really care much about the wallet, there's just so much assumption.

It's  only because  we've learnt from this forum that we believe there's so much wrong in doing this or that when it comes to handling of wallet and the assets in them. Most people out there have absolutely zero idea of how to properly handle wallet .

I've seen worse cases and I  will start wondering if it's better they just allow exchange to handle some of these funds for them.

The generation of careless humans.

They don't care as much as we do. They believe things will be better if they get to lose it all today, it comes back tomorrow. Yes that's they kind of world we live in today. Technology has made thing easy for them that they don't know how to secure what they have.

Importing your seed with an internet isn't the problem, it is importing it in the public. There was a new like that earlier where some streamer mistakenly displayed his keys online. Even before he could blink, it was all gone.

So imagine you are such, he won't realize his coins are gone until later.

The person should have just gotten home before importing his seed phrase, or at least gotten to a silent place where nobody will be close to him before he does things like this. I just think some people are always careless, because someone thats so careful about his security won’t do something like this. There are some things I don’t even do whenever am in a public place. I don’t open my bank app because I don’t want anyone to see what I have in my account for security reasons.

People like this are going to be easy to scam, because just imagine that you are a scammer, you can look for a way to get the seed phrase, maybe you will snap it with your phone, and when you get to a save place, you can import the seed phrase, send out everything which the person is having in wallet. Most people don’t even know about their wallet security, that’s why they easily get scammed at the end.

Here is something I know for sure that is related to the story narrated by the OP and that is anyone who is into Bitcoin but not a member of this forum will most likely be as knowledgeable as most of us here. Those of us that are opportune to be part of this community already knew these basic rules of being careful with the seed phrase  and how to avoid certain careless mistakes. It is absolutely wrong for anyone to assume that people around are not informed when we are in a time of information in which anyone can get any information they want at anytime.

You nailed it, some of these new guys, especially those who make their money illegally don't really care about the privacy and security of their assets, they feel everything is for show off. I don't think a sane person who made his money from his sweat would care less about the security of such funds, no matter how much he has. The dangers of showing off still boils down to personal safety and that is where it gets dicey, someone in your condition who saw him and peeped to see he had a suitable balance can trail him to his residence and plan an attack shortly to relieve him of his coins. We all need to take privacy concerns more seriously TBH.

Surely that kid has no clue to safeguard his Bitcoin wallet. You know just like you said, this Gen Z kids of nowadays fell like they know much than some old folks or Guys from the 80s without knowing that some of this guys are very security conscious and are even well knowledgeable than them when it comes to Bitcoin and security. If that guy was awear that you knew what he was doing, he would be security conscious but I think he was totally clueless of how exposed he was. I could remember telling a mechanic guy that helped me fix my byk that I will pay with Bitcoin and he laughed jokingly that what do I know about Bitcoin.  I smiled and asked him some questions and he failed and he respected me for that, anytime he sees me now he comes to me to learn some things he doesn't know. People should just be careful how they handle security matters outside or in the public because you don't know the next person behind you.

Well.  You answered your own question.  The 'newer' generations do not understand danger.  They are very used to online interactions and these same interactions are giving them the wrong set of mind.  Because on Social Media you can insult, blame, argue about any thing you want and say what ever you want to anyone and no punch will come through the screen straight in to your jaw.  And when most of your life is spent on the Internet doing particularly this with no consequence, you can start seeing where this comes from.

In my opinion.  The transition is very clear from Gen Z to Alpha and it will most probably be even more clear in the Beta generation.  They have a less and less understanding of danger, boundaries et cetera.  A lot of the ones I have seen seem to believe no thing can touch them.  This is how I personally explain what OP saw.

It is a viral behaviour among the GenZ's  with flashing their net worth in public, it is an attitude I can not understand, or may be they feel it is the way to get respected when people knows you have lots of money.

Another thing is ignorance add with childish character.
As you can see it is not every guy with beards is matured to avoid the temptation of not wanting to flag off their social economic status. If not, how on this bloody earth will any logical thinking guy chose a public place to be comfortable to import his bitcoin wallet seed phrase.

Privacy for them only means something of value when they have fallen victim of a hack or scam experience that resulted to their losing big sum of money due to their nonchalant lifestyle.
