The current generation of Gen-Z behaves very carelessly, especially those who understand a little bit about technology, they do not think about protecting their privacy. According to what I have seen, there are many who take out their mobile and check the balance of their wallet, they may not think like this, if someone sees their wallet, they can be harmful to them. This can be a risk for the boy who knows this, and it is also challenging. The current generation who come in 2026 do not think much about their privacy, as a result of which they have various types of financial discussions even in public.
I was once traveling in a bus, a person was sitting next to me, he might have thought that I did not know anything, he was trading at that time, I was looking at them. There are also some people who do not try to protect their privacy even in public places, but they consider themselves more expansive people. However, if the newcomers cannot handle these things well, they may definitely face challenges, so it is important for them to be careful about these things.

Between not understanding or actually being unaware of what they are doing, it can cause them to suffer losses. Actually, if we understand this, as good people we should approach and give a little advice if it is accepted. If not, then it is no longer our obligation. There are many possible reasons, so being wise by thinking positively is quite a good way.
If we understand that experts come from beginners who can certainly make the same mistakes, they might be in that position. Insulting will only make us more arrogant and disrespectful to others. Because indeed, everyone’s knowledge is different and may be limited.
Due to not giving enough time and not having a good understanding, many suffer with big losses, which usually prevent them from this community because mostly they do not have enough sources to stay on a good level. Giving time and doing searches is usually difficult, but it's also important because things are never coming without hard work. Experts always spend their time and then have another level, but they also do work for having this level because it's never been easy to become expert knowledge, with technical development always part of having things under control. It usually increases experience, and people are able to stay on a good level. Many things are always time-consuming because it's never been easy to learn all in one night.

Privacy is the key here, and you can't survive without it.

Sometimes I begin to imagine. Is it because they are young generations?, or do they have another way to protect there assets from been stolen even though there seed phrase have been compromised? I just keep wondering. But in all, they should remember that once there keys gets compromised, then there is trouble for them and whatever they have in that wallet.

It's not young generation, it's just lack of discipline. We have smart young generations that know what they're doing and not misbehaving with their investment. Don't even think it because there's no other way to protect your coin aside protecting your seed phrase. Once you have it leaked and someone has access to it, they can access your coin anywhere. Even 2FA can not save your ass because it only work and protect the specific app in your phone. There's no need to even debate about it whether they have other way to protect their coins.

Thanks for sharing your experience.
I think this is an important reminder for beginners like me. A seed phrase should always be treated as private information, and entering it on a device connected to the internet or in a public place can create serious security risks. I also believe we should not judge someone's knowledge based on their age or appearance. Everyone starts as a beginner, and learning how to protect our wallets is just as important as learning how to use Bitcoin. Hopefully, more newcomers will learn these basic security practices before risking their funds.
Not just keeping it private but ensuring it is safe because the way some people keep their private keys seems private to them but is not safe, as someone can gain access to it by chance. It is important for investors to be sure that what they refer to as private is safe; this is a decision one should critically consider.

For beginners, it is expected to make mistakes, and because beginners can easily make mistakes, this is why it is good to take learning very seriously, as failure to do so will lead to mistakes.

Generation Z is more reckless than Millennials or Generation Y. I am originally from Generation Y but the generation after us treats us as if we don't understand anything about current technology. Even in my area, the Generation Z crowd treats us as if we don't get any update news from modern technology. I asked a Generation Z guy a question about Bitcoin to find out and he treated me like I didn't know anything about Bitcoin. And the Generation Z guy treated me so rudely that later I was forced to cut off all relations with them and keep my distance.

This Gen Z assumptions remind me of when we were growing up. Back then when whenever I watch some old people through some good dance steps I start wondering how they still remember those steps and dance perfectly like they do . I sometimes think, how did they even learn this, were they taught in their days?

My maths teacher back then was an aged man in his 80s and he teaches well, I will always wonder how he knew all that and sometimes when questions are asked, I believe he wouldn't have an idea.

Old age does not imply ignorance, knowledge and experience is a teacher that lasts for lifetime. This is what the Gen Z has refused to learn. They assume that some age brackets are now blank in the head and it goes on to affect their attitude to everything. Exposing your seed phrase in any situation is a direct route to empty your wallet in any slight. Mind your environment at all time.

At the age of Gen Z or Gen Alpha, we may not have learned much in terms of technology like them, but we didn't lack in family education and moral education. Whatever you think, in my opinion, because they have learned a lot in a short time, they don't have enough education and practice in moral or behavioral matters, which is why they can use it anywhere and in any way without paying attention to anything, which people like us of Generation Y would never do or would never do. If they think that we have no knowledge about this technology, then they should think about it once that the people who made it are also not from Generation Z, Satoshi Nakamoto isn't from Generation Z, but they don't think about it even once but you did a good job of leaving before you were disrespected.

Knowledge makes people humble, but their knowledge has made them radical, which means they are not endowed with real knowledge.

This days you see young generation becoming useless to the community that true, but there are still younger guys out there with earning of 10k dollars weekly in the crypto space better than a 50 years old man who doesn’t have discipline, in fact the funniest part is I have  seen older men who will screenshot their seed phrase and send to support on Telegram so now what should we call that…?

There's no one who don't understand how to keep their private key private, everyone knows how to make sure that their private key is not reviewed to others, I see some people abusing those set of people that was defrauded because there private key was exposed, sometimes it is not their fault you may keep your private key so private but people who are around you will do everything possible to fine it especially when they know you have bitcoin.
The best thing to do in keeping your private key safe is for you to make sure that people around don't know that you are investing in Bitcoin or any cryptocurrency.

I was once traveling in a bus, a person was sitting next to me, he might have thought that I did not know anything, he was trading at that time, I was looking at them. There are also some people who do not try to protect their privacy even in public places, but they consider themselves more expansive people. In the crypto world privacy and security are indeed the main foundations especially when it comes to securing passphrases or private keys. Carrying them around or accessing them in public is a very real risk for people, because it’s not just about losing assets but also the potential for physical harm from someone who might have bad intentions. But usually, ignorance or carelessness like that often makes people underestimate the dangers that can happen if they’re careless.

But in my opinion, bad behavior like this isn’t about the generation it’s about their awareness and habits. There are plenty of examples of scams, hacks, or even attacks that have circulated, and that should be warning enough. Ideally, people learn from the experiences of others both those out there and the ones often shared in this forum, so you don’t have to be a victim first. The sooner we realize the importance of privacy in the crypto world the less likely we are to put ourselves in danger that could actually be avoided.

I think many beginners make this kind of mistake because they don’t fully understand how important their seed phrase is. The fact that you have an expensive care doesn’t mean you can be able to protect your bitcoin. Importing your seed phrase while internet is on and in a public place is a very big security risk.

We also need to remember that anyone who has access to your seed phrase can control your money, so protecting your funds is suppose to be your priority.

Whatever my mind thought at the time, probably a scammer? hacker? He intentionally flex off the wallet thing, or maybe I read wrong, but that's not the case, he has no clue how to safeguard his Bitcoin wallet, boy going to end up with empty balance if this keeps going on.

At first I don't feel like bringing this experience on here but the whole thing still disturbs my mind, like are there beginners out there who behaves in such manner? In 2026? Since we have many beginners on here then maybe I did this right thing.
I'm happy you finally brought this topic up on the forum so that it can be discussed and people learn a few lessons from it. Becuase the first mistake the guy made was underestimating the elderly person that was sitting by his side, while forgeting that this is 2026 whereby almost everybody is either into tech or crypto, irrespective of your age, or physical appearance.  And it is obvious he must have gotten the money for the expensive car you saw outside through fraud, and might not have known the risk associated with displaying wallet seed phrase in public places. Because if he had known that such singular act could cost him losing his entire wallet portfolio. He never would have done that in public. So i'm happy this issue was brought up, as it will help newbies here on this forum to be more security conscious now.
