I have some btc holdings and I am currently holding them in trustwallet. I am worried about my funds due to the recent hacking incidents. Which wallet is the most secure for me?

And at the same time I would like to know what are the possible risks factor for me and as well others who are using trust wallet?
Trust wallet is closed source crap and I would never use it for anything.
If you want to hold bitcoin for a long time without spending, than I would recommend offline airgappped device like laptop with wallets like Electrum or Sparrow wallet.
Old smartphone can also be used BUT only in offline mode, without internet connection, with previously installed Cupcake wallet, or something similar.

Trust Wallet was bad and untrustworthy even before the Coldcard meltdown. There is a long list of cases and issues that should make you stay away from it. For people who only hold bitcoin and no alts, I don't see why you would use a closed-source multi-coin app like Trust Wallet. Use a standalone quality bitcoin wallet instead.

You never told us if you are searching for mobile or desktop wallets. The recommendations can differ. Some of my top picks for software wallets are Electrum, Sparrow, and Blue Wallet. If you want a hardware wallet, look into Trezor or an airgapped signer like SeedSigner or some of its forks, Jade, or Krux.

Well, online wallets even if they are decentralized such as Trust Wallet...
Trust Wallet isn't decentralized. It's centralized. The word you are looking for is probably non-custodial. Trust Wallet is allegedly non-custodial but there is no way to know that for sure due to the code not being available for public review.

There is a specific reason to use "Trust Wallet"? You can just create your safe keys for coins in a cold wallet and use any other wallet for your "daily spends" - the classic hot wallet.
About secuirty I would start from the scratch using a guide like glacierprotocol.org
You will have easily all instructions and all details on how to set up a safe cold/hot wallet.
If you read and follow the various instructions you can also have a setup completely offline - signing offline transaction could keep your keys safe...
Keeping keys (and the signing process) on an air-gap system is one layer of security but it doesn't make you safe on its own. You still need to find a trustworthy code to run and Trust wallet is not that. You still have no way of knowing how it generates the entropy needed for the keys, and you don't know if the signing process is secure and without any bugs that could leak your keys if you publish the signature (eg. when broadcasting the signed tx).
