well to be honest printing money isnt just the west problem is all over the world problem but US can control it because lot of country in the world is using US dollar, take a look zimbabwe that have inflation and now their money looks worthless. Printing money that people believe is really calming down people.

But there is downside for us if they weaponizing the financial system through aggressive sanctions, asset freezes, and legal enforcement has actually accelerated global de-dollarization, pushing rival nations toward bilateral local currency trade and heavy gold accumulation.

The U.S. has one key advantage: the dollar is a global currency, or, more precisely, the currency of the global economy, and the global economy easily and effortlessly absorbs enormous sums of money. And by printing money, the U.S. simply "spreads" inflation across the trillions of dollars currently circulating in the global economy. This is what’s known as "exporting inflation". Other countries and their currencies cannot afford to do this...

Regarding sanctions. If we set aside Trump’s idiotic antics, sanctions aren’t imposed just like that - there’s always a reason, and a significant one at that. Here we must honestly admit that, in the pre-Trump era, these were real mechanisms for exerting pressure on criminal regimes, which makes sense.

The U.S monetary system and foreign policy is a double edged sword, because while it functions as the primary international unit of money and a well known medium of exchange even on exchanges being as USDT, the economy of the U.S can absorb printing more money because other countries need it for trade.

Unless other countries look to alternative currency, decentralized systems of money, or other payment options that don't involve the dollar, the U.S dollar will remain dominant and still print more money because others need it more than they do.

In today’s world, no country or alliance of countries will adopt a decentralized (unregulated), non-issuing financial model. This isn’t my preference, it’s a characteristic of the modern economy. This is the main challenge facing the world’s transition from the dollar to solutions like Bitcoin or other new cryptocurrencies.
And that is precisely why the U.S. can print as much money as it wants, because the global economy needs it, and for the U.S., this amounts to "zero inflation".

Why do you think that is? It is quite obvious, those that criticize the abuse of the dollar want their own currency to be so important that they can abuse that power too. This is the main reason why all countries are refusing to move away to a decentralized financial model, because they lose that one power completely. In a way we could see this as hypocrisy, but don't understand me wrong. The US does deserve to lose this status and this power because it has done countless abuses with it, but that does not mean that those that are coming to power or advocating for change are going to be any better. It is easy to talk like you would behave really good when you do not have that kind of power, but the real corruption of power only starts to appear once you get the power. So for example I would only believe that some country like China would not abuse this power after the fact, so after their currency has been the reserve for a very long time and there were no abuses.

Talking is very easy, but actually doing things the right way is much harder. For now I do not yet see this de dollarization yet even if Trump has tried many things to weaken the dollar for other reason and other countries have tried to speed up this process.

This is the main reason why all countries are refusing to move away to a decentralized financial model, because they lose that one power completely.
A decentralized global currency would be a disaster for everyone or most people, because it could be easily manipulated by the strongest players of the market. USA, China or Russia could manipulate the price in crucial moments to prejudice or boost foreigner nations. Some would indeed lose power, but others would accumulate even more power on their hands. And then we would have a lot of chaos in economics, much more than we currently have with fiat currencies.

This is not true, you don't understand how the current world works if you believe that. There is no set up of a decentralized currency that gives any superpower more power than they already have. The USA has complete control over its own fiat currency the USD, and since this currency is involved in many aspects of the world it gives them also a lot of power over other countries and companies. The same would happen with other superpowers if their currency got the integration into the world like the USD currently has. When you talk about decentralized currencies that means that no one has complete power over it, and even having a lot of power is nothing compared to having complete control like they have in its current state. The USA is not able to control Bitcoin in any significant way, it can have some impact on the market price of that but this is not the power that we are talking about. They already have market impact on most things in the world, so by following this way their power would actually decrease.

A decentralized currency that is adopted by many nations reduces the power that each player has because it distributes the power and forces them to behave along with the network rules of this currency, it does not increase the power of anyone who already has a lot of power. A simple example proves this. If you only have two countries now and the world runs on the USD, then USA has complete power over the other country. But if a decentralized currency is adopted in this scenario, then USA loses a big portion of its power and has to compete more and act according to the rules of the network. Since the USA controls the USD it does not have to accept any kind of rules and can do whatever it wants with it. You really misunderstood this and sadly it seems that you don't understand the biggest benefit that Bitcoin could provide in this topic that we are talking about.

Being able to influence a market is not the same as being able to print a currency however you want and when you want..

Wealthy nations would be able to acquire more coins than poor nations. It equals them to whales, who have larger supplies of coins to dump in the market, when they feel it's appropriate for their own personal interests. Let's say USA acquires 2 million units of this decentralized coin at once. The price will rise a lot, since demand suppress supply.

Seeing this, Sierra Leone and a group of another countries on similar conditions use a large portion of their resources to also purchase more units of that coin, since the price is skyrocketing, therefore, there is profit to be made.

Seeing this, USA immediately dumps a lot of coins for sale in the market, turning the investment made by other nations into loss. As consequence they have to sell the purchased coins at loss, and then, USA buys again for a cheap price.

Another example would be dumping the coins for sale on the decisive moment a rival nation would need to maintain the coins' price at most, like when paying debt, buying military weapons, importing food, raw materials, etc...

Well, we did have a small example of it, not that it has done wonderfully, but we have seen a small scale of it. EU has been using the euro, which means that we have seen a large portion of the world's population all using the same currency, and as long as you do not give the right to print however much you want to governments, you could end up with a decent way of living and control. Decentralised is different: if you do it digitally, a decentralised currency, which is used by the whole world, then suddenly nobody has a right to print it; it will be printed at a fixed rate every year, but that is it. And then the only thing that matters would be its value, but because it is the only currency, no more fiat, then you can't say "x is worth Y amount of dollars" because there are no more dollars.

So you calculate based on the inflation rate and price of goods. And manipulation may happen, but at a global scale? I do not think even the largest nations could manipulate it, maybe as much as they are now, but that's about it. You think Russia and China do not attempt to manipulate the value of the dollar today? Or did the West not ruin the rubble in Russia? They all do, and the same would happen in this case too, but nothing more.

The USA does sure have a lot of privilege as to almost everyone depending on it's currency. As we all know, such privileges has limits and if you USA abuses it further, countries will begin to look to alternatives. Nobody is stupid and helpless. Somethings can still be done. You can see it in the likes of counties coming together to dominate the dollar. Example of such is the BRICS. China too is giving incentives as to those who trade in their currency. Seems the USA has over used it's privileges already.

The answer is extremely simple - POWER!!!
Power is nothing but centralized control. Money and the financial system are an integral part of power! And nothing within this power structure, nothing that underpins it, can be beyond the control of that power!
Yes, they can use Bitcoin, but it will be to strengthen their power or solve problems related to that power, it won’t form the basis of the financial model of power!

By the way, here’s an interesting scenario to consider Smiley
Someone is creating a buzz around Bitcoin as "the future of the global financial system". Countries and governments start buying it up. The price rises, dollar reserves run low, and they start selling off physical gold... This goes on for a while, 5 to 10 years. And then suddenly it turns out that... the Bitcoin protocol has a massive, previously unknown vulnerability, and, for example, all Bitcoins are either transferred to an unknown destination or simply destroyed. Voilà!
The outcome: those who fell for it are left absolutely destitute. A global crisis engulfs the world, and the only liquid and secure assets left on the global market are dollars and gold - but they’ve already been heavily redistributed. I think the rest of the scenario is clear.

Just so you know, (c) belongs to me Smiley

Yes, there is a "cold war" going on between these big potencies in economics field worldwide, through fiat currencies. But I believe that if this war was fought by the usage of a decentralized global currency, the impact would be much worse for everyone, since volatility would be higher.

But then you say we wouldn't have dollar currency as reference for prices in that case, rather the reference would be inflation rate and price of goods. So, it makes me think how intense volatility would take place in such scenario.

I think you need to study what printing of excessive cash does to a country's economy. Let's even set aside printing of excessive money because the government can still print more money and not allow it to be in circulation. Let's just assume a scenario where everyone have their own money to spend, do you know that demand will be so high and suppress supply such that it will lead to high prices of goods and services which will cause inflation and scarcity.

Don't you know that the reason why digital financial currency like bitcoin is valuable is due to its limited supply, if the supply was to be unlimited it would have made no difference with Fiat currency. If you want to enjoy life you can when you get more rewards for your input but never say that the government should print more paper money because it can collapse an economy.
Money will have no value anymore if too much cash is printed in the country. The strength of a country is measured by its economy. A poor economy simply means a weak country. When everyone has enough cash in the country, that is seems everyone is rich, no one does the production, the manufacturing, the rearing of animals, the selling of groceries. It will be bosses waiting for the other bosses to serve, which is not possible. People will have more money, but the country will have less to invest in production, and foreign deals won't be possible. Excessive printing will destroy the country.

Undoubtedly, if excessive fiat currency is printed, that country will start to become economically weak. But in the case of the USA the situation is different because the demand for the dollar is everywhere. And it is used solely as a foreign currency. But looking at Somaliland in Africa, one can understand how terrifying inflation can be. However, the reality of a developing state is quite different. But the citizens of Somaliland have sufficient fiat currency, so if they remain confined among themselves, there will be no problem. However, they will struggle for any foreign agreements.

To be honest, inflation occurs in every state, which causes the value of fiat currency to change in the foreign market. Indeed, my state is also experiencing some inflation now.

Printing money = inflation. Let’s discuss inflation in Western countries and the U.S., and then in the BRICS countries. That would be a revealing comparison! Smiley
At the same time, let’s compare living standards and economic efficiency.
And if there are no well-reasoned conclusions after that, we’ll discuss how China is colonizing countries in the region and Africa through loans and the yuan. More precisely, it isn’t colonizing them but bringing them to their knees, and we’ll discuss some examples.
Just don’t walk away from the conversation, or else your statement will sound like empty rhetoric Smiley

I already answered your part and you provided an answer that does not contradict anything, please try to learn when you are mistaken thank you.

Being able to influence a market is not the same as being able to print a currency however you want and when you want..
All nations will have less power in a decentralized currency model, it does not matter who is wealthy or not. All of them would have less power than they have now, and actually weaker nations would gain more power in such a situation since the wealthy nations can not change the protocol and print money how they want.

Yes that is exactly that!! It seems that many users here do not understand how decentralized currencies work or what Bitcoin brings here even if they are on a bitcoin forum.. Any kind of really decentralized currency is not something that any wealthy nation wants to be the world reserve currency because they would lose the power that they have now. Let's take some examples of Russia and the US. Russia has control over its own currency which is not a world reserve and almost not used in any trade deals, but the country is still able to abuse the power in the limits of its own nation. The US has a much stronger position because its currency is used in many trade deals and as a reserve, so it is able to abuse the currency at the expense of many other countries and not just its own citizens. But if we switch to a decentralized currency model, both countries will lose this power. They will only able to influence the market to some amount, but they already have this power so they are not gaining anything at all.

Voilà!

Just so you know, (c) belongs to me Smiley
We can hard fork to the point before the vulnerability has been exploited, so this is not a real scenario. There would be chaos and price damage, but Bitcoin would resume as usual. Some people talk about this in other threads.

Money cannot be used to grow food. It is not a copper miner or an oil refiner. OP kind of glosses past it. Printing more money that does not increase the amount of what money is chasing is simply maths against yourself.

The idea of export inflation to weaker nations is basically mercantilistic. 17th century stuff. Repackaged. Every time when a dominant power intends to impose trade routes only through sheer force, the countries begin to develop alternative systems on their own. Economic cooperation through double currency.

The memecoin point is the desperation in disguise. The numbers on speculating tokens participation in retail trading are, well, terrible. Most participants lose. The benefits are targeted to the top.

There can be no real stability without real production.

Well, it is true that no amount of paper money can substitute the perceived worthiness of food, mineral deposit or petroleum energy. Money will never succeed in growing without raising the amounts of material goods; this means they will rather be devalued, and the establishment of the hegemony of trade will promote the development of other system of transaction between countries.

Memecoin asset rush is speculative, and the perception of policy by people that they are being desperately, entirely ignoring the reality that financial stability is fundamentally rooted in full, sustainable output of actual industry.

Yes, that is true; demand is there, but do you think inflation isn't really getting to the USA as well? It is hitting the USA as well; the more they print, the less value their money has. A simple calculation would give you this: the average salary of a person in 1970 and the average salary of a person in 2026. As you might imagine, people are making more money right now. But if you also look at average house prices in 1970 and in 2026 as well, then you will realise that house prices went up even more.

People could buy houses with 2 years' worth of salary; some jobs even 1 year. But right now? Two years' salary would not get you even a cabin. That means the USA has lost a lot of purchasing power, along with having a huge amount of inflation. Just this past six years is a great profit; take a look at prices of anything before COVID, and look at it today, and you will see that they focus on a few items and then let the rest be high.

Like they keep milk and egg and oil prices low, and yet they increase college prices, and act as if that is not important, which is wrong. Basically, if you can buy bread, eggs, and milk, then you are fine and will survive. That is not how the "greatest nation in the world" should be.

West has a lot problems also usa but solution is print money to calm down people
I often read about economists and political observers, they often say what the OP mentioned, even though the response is taken lightly "just print money" the problem is solved, but you need to know that this statement is more complicated as expected.

It should be noted that even though the US can be said to be the strongest country in terms of the economic sector and the dollar can be considered the world currency, it is not that easy for them to carry out these policies, in a modern economic system like today, The reality can be said to be very complicated and very risky for the US and the dollar itself, if this is done the risk is greater.

When this situation occurs, you can be sure that the dollar will weaken in value and become worthless, a lot of money will be printed, there will be high inflation, as has been experienced in the West around 2021-2023 and so on.
Normally it can be said that printing large amounts of money is not a permanent solution that can solve the problems for the United States, this situation is not a good idea in solving economic problems.

In the last report, I saw that the USA's debt has exceeded almost $40T. Even every rich country in the world has debt. In  the USA has the highest debt. Since they are the controller of the dollar currency, it may seem unusual for them to have such a large amount of debt. But the solution to everything is not just printing money. In order to maintain the acceptability of the dollar, it must be controlled to make it a strong currency for everyone in the world. If the dollar is printed in an uncontrolled manner, the value of the dollar will decrease. Less goods will have to be bought with more dollars. The dollar will have a negative impact on the entire international market. For this reason, despite the USA's debt, they are not taking a decision to pay off the debt by printing dollars. Rather, as long as the dollar remains acceptable to most countries in the world, the USA will be considered a strong economic country.
