Going by the standards of this forum, it is expected that every member can discuss Bitcoin and any other relevant areas of discussion outside the context, but we shouldn't forget that the primary aim is to discuss Bitcoin and any other topics falling under a secondary achievement; this is why I have to bring in my idea in this way to those who may be concerned.

Firstly, I'm going to be focusing on three major areas, which I will be directing my suggestions towards those who are concerned. This is to ensure that everyone gets along with the forum and also works toward achieving a common goal here, without leaving any important aspects of this forum undiscussed.

I'm sure that this is not the first time signature ban is coming in place, but because we also have the privilege of knowing who has the privilege to also dish out this ban aside the moderators made it a serious concern to many, which shouldn't, if you're more familiar with how the forum works and what is required of you to do, I expect that people should appreciate this act of benevolence to the forum, rather than seeing it as a threat to ban them indiscriminately, anyone of us could go far than what nutilda is doing if we assume the same position.

Here are my suggestions

Contests, Games and Rounds.

1. I suggest that contests of any format, and games and rounds henceforth, should take stricter measures in selecting the criteria needed for participation, which will not also suggest a complete restriction of newbies' involvement on the forum, because I noticed that most of the participants in these areas are newbies.

Campaign Managers and Participants

2. While selecting for a participant in a signature campaign, managers would have considered applicants profile and pattern of posting, of which I know that many do post on several boards before they are being accepted into a campaign and decided to concentrate only on gambling after being accepted, while most of the rules are well stated on these campaign threads that members should spread out their post within the week, suggesting a total avoidance to spamming or concentrating post on a particular board, especially the gambling section, which is a zero tolerance to post bursting, this campaign rule can be revived also, because it can also help in this situation.

Sudden Account Reappearance

3. We know that some accounts may recently wake up over a long time in activity, it is something not too serious for a user to go on a long-term vacation from the forum and still resurface, but when such Awakening begin to trigger bumping of old threads, applying for contest, password change or requesting for loan already suggest a suspicious case, everyone concerned with making interaction with such user must be careful, including managers.

The aim of this thread is not to attack anyone or be one-sided, but I see it as what we need to discuss and bring out our various opinions on how to make the forum continue to achieve its purpose; therefore, no room for attack in any form- only drop your honest opinion.

There are enough guides, and I don't think the forum needs more guides about that. It's only how people do their management, and guides are not for all managers who can have their own rules that can be changed or updated with time too. Similarly forum rules can be changed with time.

I don't think that you should teach Campaign Managers their work because they know what they're doing and it's their campaign, their rules.

When CM says spread your post out in the week doesn't simply means that they should post on various boards that they ain't familiar with or have nothing to post about. It simply means that you shouldn't post all the required amount of post for you to be eligible for payment within 2-3 days. They want you to be a regular forum user and post at least five days in a week to meet up with your weekly post quota.

This is your own suggestion, the forum also said there should be no newbie jail. But if I am in the position to organize a contest, I will not allow newbies, junior members and members to participate in the contest, they should at least rank up to full member before they can participate. Individual that are organizing contests will have their own rules. Also campaign managers have their own rules.

I mean no insult mate but I honestly do not understand the angle you are coming from.

So what exactly are you suggesting? Is it restriction on newbies or not.

2. While selecting for a participant in a signature campaign, managers would have considered applicants profile and pattern of posting, of which I know that many do post on several boards before they are being accepted into a campaign.
Whereas this is a bitcoin forum and users are expected to engage in bitcoin related discussion, it is out of place to expect users to post in several boards they do not really know about, that is one of the the major cause of spamming. For example, I mostly post on the bitcoin discussion board, meta, and my local board because those are the only areas I am comfortable in posting at the moment, maybe gambling board. I love the technical aspect of bitcoin as well but I do not post often in the technical board because I do not have the technical capacity yet to be posting regularly as I would have loved to. The idea is to post in topics you are somewhat familiar with and can contribute to the discussion to some reasonable extent. Spreading your weekly posting means you shouldn't make all 20-25 post in a single day, maybe 4-6 post a day is sufficient, this will help boost the visibility of the product you are advertising. Campaign managers do not expect you to post in several threads you don't know about, just be a regular active user who post contents in boards you are comfortable with and maybe you might be lucky enough to be selected in one Campaign.

I'm not disputing the fact on your opinion but what'd you say about members who basically focused on other of the secondary discussions such as politics and economy boards? I agree that even in the boards there're still discussions that aligns with bitcoin in one way or the other which I don't think there's anyway for such members to entirely participate in the forum discussions for s long time without talking about bitcoin or crypto.
That also proves how bitcoin dominates the forum just as the website address says bitcoin talk.org.
But does it mean anyone that's not participating in the related primary aim of this forum isn't keeping the forum standard?
Well I'm just on the insights that bitcointalk.org is just as the evey day live such as the activities in the reality world we lives in which everyone is entitled to be concerned in the areas of their interests.

The truth be told, here's mainly a community setup for interactions with educative motives in divers of lively experience while majority of user's are of the interest to discuss about bitcoin and cryptos.

Contests, Games and Rounds.
Newbies cannot join campaigns, so if a casino wants to do some kind of give always, why do you want to prevent newbies from participating. This is not a forum problem, every raffle has its own rules and those that qualify, participates.

Campaign Managers and Participants
All the active campaign managers are legendary members with years of experience. They know their job and they have been doing it well. You will think that they don't look out for important things. I was surprised how icopress noticed me and hired me as the only full member in a campaign then. This proves that managers check profiles and they know what they want.

Sudden Account Reappearance
People can take break from the forum, and we don't tell them how to behave when they are back in as much as they are not constituting nuisance.

imo, there's no single problem identified here, while most of the issues raised here belong to the service discussion board.

That is how it should be for real because that's one best option to dive into among many others about ways to curb cheat through any form , most particular with suddenly wakeup accounts to participate in a contest. Multiple newbie accounts are easier to have in using it to cheat in a contest comparing to having FM and above rank. It may not completely eradicate cheats from any contest but it would drastically reduce the parameter.

The awakened accounts are already being handled very well by some members of the forum. The awakened accounts can be understood just by looking at their activities and when the campaign manager accepts their events, they accept them by seeing the successful activities. The matters that you are asking to pay attention to are already being handled carefully from before, so there is nothing to be newly careful about. The awakened accounts have to be kept an eye on so that no one can move forward by becoming noticeable.

Different platforms have their own strategy how they make an advertisement and even handle their events in this section so its all about the event and its the organizer have the rights if they wanted to restrict the newbies or there is a specific rank/merit requirement to participate the event.

Also its the Managers choice for the participants if they think that user is eligible and suitable to their campaign, there are a lot of active users here even in different boards, and of coruse if you are a manager you would like to pick the best of the best to promote the campaign do you have and also helps them to promote their platform for having an improvements.

Sudden Account Reappearance

It is just normal day here that there are users vanish and then become active but once they commit suspicious activity that's the time they will observed.

mostly of these suggestions are already addressed in the forum or at least there is no change from the past.
games and rounds has specific rules that can allow any user to join... (never seen signatures paying for posting there...it could be counted as another OT section).
it is a really useful section in my opinion.
meanwhile provide traffic to a new service, it allows users to get some free coin and familiarize with many items of bitcoin / crypto products.

about account reappearance, it could become a problem in case accounts have been hacked.
in most of the cases these accounts can't join any promotion in the forum because the account has no merit/recent post history (and there is also a warning on profile about new login in forum).

I often see a lot of "advice" from this account, but I've never seen accurate guides that draw on his own experience or investigation. The proposals are always very vague; they have quite motivational ideas, but they have never been implemented by him personally.

What do strict measures for beginners, strict verification, and so on mean? Who should do this? You, OP, know how to give advice, as if someone owes you something. But I don't see anything valuable in your advice, except for vivid statements on all sections of the meta. Did you know that many people like you, who know what to do and how to do it, can give advice while sitting on the couch, even in matters of governing countries, not to mention just the forum?

The general conclusions, like this topic, are very similar to the conclusions of AI but carefully corrected by the method of humanizing AI texts.

Besides, all your ideas are not new, and they have been used on the forum for a long time.

So what do you want to bring new, Mr. "Newbie-Member," other than using AI with a humanizer?

Is this forum that difficult to understand?

It is what you have in mind and in abundance that you speak out; you only throw your opinion or idea, and this does not mean it is 100% acceptable, so don't be scared when people rake all manner of attack on you over this.

I think it is time to take a more critical look at some user accounts that may be applying for anything, and a stricter investigation should be done on them before their acceptance for participation.

I want you both to read this and understand more better, this forum is to serve it purpose and not to also be too strict for newbies in other that they feel being restricted from some certain things they could do or contribute in the forum.

My God, how did we all live here without you, OP?🤷‍♀️

I really don't understand the exact message you're trying to pass on this thread.

Can you give example of stricter measure you're suggesting? Are you proposing merits or activity should be considered? Either way, newbies will be affected. But you're also suggesting that restricting newbies completely is not the way to go about it. Now, you're getting me confused. Enlighten the forum in precise manner would help.

Quote
while most of the rules are well stated on these campaign threads that members should spread out their post within the week, suggesting a total avoidance to spamming or concentrating post on a particular board, especially the gambling section, which is a zero tolerance to post bursting, this campaign rule can be revived also, because it can also help in this situation.

Since you confirmed that these rules are clearly stated on campaign threads, what then do you want again? Although, spreading your post within the week is not about the board you post in but the number of posts you make in a day. You're not allowed to finish the required posts in a week within one or two days. I may be wrong but that's what managers mean when they say spread your post.

The rules already exist. You only revive what seems to be dead.

Forum for Fun!
I am dropping my honest opinion. You are Mr. Newbie-Member who asked for honest opinions to your suggestions. The forum will continue to achieve its purpose without your suggestions because rules make it possible. Rules exist so discussions for your suggestions are waste of time. It is my honest opinion.
