Honestly, their is more confidence in the present investors than those of the early investors. Initially, when Bitcoin was in it's young age, only few persons invested in bitcoin, and among the few that invested in bitcoin, not all of those few investors believed in Bitcoin which some of them to sell their bitcoin asset very early.
Most of the people that sell off their assets in the early stages of bitcoin didn’t actually invested their money to buy it, they mined it instead. And it is just similar to when Airdrop was booming in the 2021 era, if you were able to mine a new coin and it was listed and you see it has value wouldn’t you sell? You will sell it of course and that is even when we have seen that crypto can grow and yield much profit. Now put yourself in the shoe if the early adopters, bitcoin was a really new thing and you there’s much uncertainty, you got it almost for free, wouldn’t you sell when you see it value rising?
Imagine Laszlo buying just two pizzas for $10000BTC , and this amount of bitcoin is worth millions of dollars today, and some others who sold their bitcoin at early stage just to pay bills. All these things happened because they never expected bitcoin would stand the text of time.
BTC10000 was the worth of those pizzas at that time and exchanges aren’t that much, so using that amount to buy pizza at that time is pretty reasonable, it’s just like you using
BTC1 to buy a car in 2026 and bitcoin eventually gets to $1m, the people at that time when it gets to $1m would still look at you like how you are looking at Laszlo at this time and you on the other side got the value for your money.
Today, we are so confident about bitcoin, and we have seen how far bitcoin has gone couple with the increase in price, we now know that Bitcoin is a store of value, and we can create wealth with it, this conviction is the reason why investors today have placed so much trust on Bitcoin which many early investors never had making them to sell good number of their Bitcoin asset for small money, and bill payment.
Looking at the initial reason why bitcoin was created, the early adopters actually used it for it purposes which is transactional but nowadays most people use it as a store of value instead.
