Just because you saw them advertising here doesn't mean they got popular from Bitcoin talk forum. They are other places too that they do advertising. Like social media, affiliates, influencers also contributing, crypto places just like this one. So claiming  that only Bitcoin talk forum made them who they are is too broad. Bitcointalk is just among the popular platforms that attributed to it growth not necessarily that they did it all.

This platform is one of the most active communities that I know when it comes to advertising and from my little knowledge I don't think there is any that guarantee more traffic than this community. You should also be aware that ads network don't require strict local gambling licenses on the advertiser which is a good thing if you have a small budget or just starting out in the business, but you must ensure you apply geofencing to avoid a scenario where you haven't even started but suddenly get banned from trying to do your ads on the network or at the point to even make payments.

Depending on the objective, the most appropriate platform for advertising will be. Bitcointalk has a great advantage because the traffic is already interested in discussing about the related topics of crypto. Gambling. And discussions so the traffic would be more relevant and trustworthy. While TikTok and other social media platforms can offer a great level of reach. It is not always a good sign of conversions. This has indeed become outdated and the competition is extremely high on these platforms for advertising. Earlier people used to advertise through Google AdSense but Google has completely blocked crypto casino ads. To this end, it's a fair point. Bitcointalk's audience is very focused on crypto users and casinos can find people who are already familiar with crypto gambling. You've given some good examples of how important it is to be visible on the forum how visibility can lead to recognition and trust. Which can help build credibility over time. I have not personally gotten involved with the deal of buying advertising space. But from my experience with cryptocurrency services I know from a fact casinos usually buy space to show their ads on Blockchain explorers and also on webpages which show data of crypto assets, like Coinmarketcap and Coingecko.

If your casino is completely crypto, then it would make sense to target audiences which are likely to use explorers and coin lists. Since they are very certainly holders of crypto assets themselves.

Again, this is coming from my experience as a consumer of those ads, not as a manager of them...

The one thing you are leaving out is the effectiveness of that ads that displays on Blockchain scans websites is that they don't last long, and I believe that's because of the effectiveness, probably weak... Blockchain info, some mining pools, and so on, you name it I've seen it all but honestly it's only this forum that gambling adverts go on for a very long period of time.
