I think it depends on the data the hacker gets, because it's impossible for tax data to include private keys. The tax information only includes ownership of the amount of assets, not that the government gets direct access to the wallet. Well because in France the theft of crypto asset owners is quite massive, the data sold can be used by the thief to target certain individuals with crypto asset ownership, as in the case of cases that have happened.

Since it is a personal document, the total amount of assets will be mentioned, if the total amount of assets is mentioned and if the category mentions Bitcoin, then that person must have Bitcoin holdings. Hackers can get ahead of themselves by taking small steps, which is why Bitcoin holdings should be careful.

Victims who feel their data has been stolen should isolate assets as quickly as possible by using new devices that have not been infected. Because it is feared that the data sold has become a target, isolating assets also requires caution but it is better than still using old devices.

But that's the risk they face due to their government's incompetence in managing such sensitive data. They can take whatever steps they can to improve their security, but that doesn't eliminate the possibility of becoming a target for criminal activity --- and hopefully, that won't happen to them.
