Do you believe that your reputation is fully under your control, and no one else can change that? Because once you realize you have no defense against long cons or corruption, you'll understand something that can be taken by anybody at any time is not valuable. It's impossible to control what other people think and say about us, the way we greet, dress, speak, and approach real life problems adds to our reputations, some things people love or hate about me, I can decide to change, I've got the control to dress nice or not, it's also up to me to become a reputable stand up comedian, If I work so much on my public speaking skill. We're so in control of the building stage, its digression is left for what people chooses to believe about us. I could become a great comedian for a decade, and in the next decade a laughing stock in the entertainment industry for cracking a bad joke about a well respected and reputable person that didn't turn out well with my entertainment career. You see instances as the ones I used, will never be under my control, but one good news is that those values won't be taken out by anybody else, it stays with the builder for life.
