Yes, I agree with you on this. It is very natural to lose in trading and there will be profits, but when a person's losses are much higher than his profits, then this is not a natural phenomenon. Every person has to determine whether he is knowledgeable enough or not. Because knowledge is the biggest thing in trading, if a person does not gain knowledge and if he does not have knowledge about politics and other influences, then he will definitely face losses. So if a person wants to profit from trading, then he must have gained a lot of knowledge and be aware of every news.

Trading can be seen as gambling when a trader is not making effective moves of the technical and fundamental analysis in the market, they're just there to second guess and randomly they hit profits, I consider it as luck. Everyone gotta make good use of their trading strategies because the market have its own way of debunking our strategies and going against us and when that do happens, the market is what it is, we can not change it but we can do everything within our reach to ensure we're making good trading runs in the market. .

When we record losses in the market, we become sad and most of us fold up because some losses are fulltime pain while some are mere losses we expected to happen. Do you know what's the bigger mistakes? Is losing in the market and doing absolutely nothing about it not even a review why you lose and continue trading, that losses will still find its way to retrace back and we hit more losses as time goes on.

This doesn't mean that losses are not normal, no matter how knowledgeable a trader might be losses is something that's always going to be inevitable.

in my understanding,I think learning from past analysis would be much better than using the word learning from past mistakes. Because Viewing losses as expected probabilistic costs rather than personal mistakes helps you maintain emotional control and prevents you as a trader from revenge trading.

I understand the point you are trying to make and that is that someone can make correct analysis and something still go wrong, that way its not his fault neither is it a mistake.  In trading, it is believed that the market is always right whatever the outcome of the trade is, the only person who is wrong is the trader. Therefore, we should be able to learn from the past outcome of our trade and do much better.

analysis you make and the at end they haven't to be wrong, don't shows that the analysis is also wrong from the beginning, because assuming it was correct it you will not be wrong because wrong and right does not happen at the same time, and trading what is important a risk management, and also know the strategies to be apply when trading that will be beneficial to you as a trader, and you dont need to make analysis and follow it, when you know that you have not make analysis that have favoured you before, some people who is into trading, knows trading is a risk and you cannot depend and also trust your analysis 100%, because sometimes someone can be wrong on what it think is correct

I thought about something earlier and it got me thinking Psychologically, when you intentionally do something knowing the risk, can you consider that thing as a mistake when you lose?Basically folks often call a lost trade a mistake you can learn from, but I don't personally think it's a mistake.

If a trader does not know about trading, how will he make a profit? I think it is also important to have knowledge, confidence and self-confidence in trading. You have to be so skilled that you can predict where the market will go and how far it will go. A trader should not be afraid of losses either, the more afraid he is, the more he trades with losses. So, one should be calm and consider the right market and then trade. As you said, to maintain discipline, yes, a trader must maintain discipline. If you enters a trade and it immediately went against you, their is no need to panic because if your analysis is right, sooner or later the market will reverse and move to your direction, that's why panicking or doing emotional trading is never encouraging if you truly want to be a profitable trade.

As for the question asked by the op, if a lose trade really a mistake, yes it's a mistake if you learnt nothing from it, but if it helps to improve your trading performance, it is not a mistake, and as a matter of fact, it's a blessing in disguise because it will help to shape your trading skills to the better.
