So I registered in a casino which is licensed by the way, and based on what I read in their thread, they don’t require KYC. They only ask for it in special cases like suspected cheating, abuse, or other common reasons. But I am just wondering, because during registration there are still some details you need to put, like name and phone number. Since they are saying it is a no KYC casino, is it okay not to put your real identity there?
My concern is what if one day I win big and they ask for KYC. Maybe at that time I will have no choice but to comply and give my real identity. But what if the details I put before are different, then maybe that can become a problem.
What do you think, is this a potential problem?
I think the answer is pretty straight forward here, if you submit a fake document by itself. Not just in casino, but in any facet of life. If you doctored something and brand it as real and you are caught, then there's no way that you can survived. But I was confused that it was supposedly a non-KYC casino but then is going to ask for documents? I guess this is just one trap set by a casino, because how come it supposedly a non-KYC but then ask for it specially if you win a lot of money from them?

But there are countless of casinos out there. Why would you choose a shady one?
I think OP was specifically searching for ways to gamble and not giving his personal information to the casino in the process, that is pretty much it, he found a casino which he thought he would not need to give any documents to, but from the very beginning he was asked to give his real name and phone number, so instead of getting away from that casino, he went and provided false information, in order to access it services. Honestly, if I was him I would stop gambling there, withdraw whatever the has left on that account and move to a different casino which is not that shady. Or at least some which is actually free from KYC if that is so important to him.

I had the same problem before. When I first signed up, I did not use real identity. Later, when KYC was asked it failed because the data did not match my real identity. I had to contact support to fix it. I think it is fine to use fake data at first, as long as the casino does not ask for KYC. But once verification comes, there will be extra steps to fix the data so it matches the real identity.

So what happened when you contacted support, did they solve your problem? Because if they did, then maybe it means using a different name on the basic information is not automatically a problem, as long as when KYC is required you provide your real identity together with the supporting documents they ask for. For me, I'm not too worried about this, especially with reputable casinos, I think they would rather solve the issue properly than give their customers unnecessary headaches, since their reputation is also important.

Firstly, it's good that you read their terms and conditions and didn't get involved in registering and depositing a large amount immediately because it's clear that this casino is not a casino that doesn't require KYC, so I advise you to wait and not risk depositing if you are not prepared to provide KYC documents.
Without a doubt, if you provide false information during registration, such as your name and phone number, and then they ask you for KYC when withdrawing, they will discover your true identity, and you will face a big problem. Your account will be blocked, and your assets will be frozen because this is considered cheating in the eyes of the casino.

What do you think, is this a potential problem?
It is indeed a potential problem. This is a very common issue with newly launched casinos. At any time they can ask for KYC. Generally I have seen them ask for KYC when you try to withdraw a large amount. They usually do this to manually review your betting history and check for possible cases of money laundering. What I can suggest is that, during the initial registration, it is wise to provide your original information only. This is because casinos may not access or verify that data at that time but later, when they ask for KYC, this is the information they will check first. So if you really want to avoid these hassles, it is better to avoid casinos that require these details and KYC in first place. If you cannot avoid them, then you are left with no choice rather than go through the KYC process.

Isn't it better if casinos don't ask for the user's real name when they're already using a "no KYC" marketing campaign, because otherwise that can be a little misleading, we're not stupid and we know what no KYC means. So if they still require us to provide some details about our real identity, then what's really the point of calling it no KYC? Just curious.

Yeah, support was able to help fix the problem, though it took a few minutes before it was finally solved. I gave my real identity along with the documents they asked for, and after that the account was verified with no more issues. So as long as real and matching data is given once KYC is actually required, using a different name at the start does not seem to be a serious problem.

This is a good development, I hope OP reads this so he won't worry anymore. However, I'm still a bit worried because casinos can have different policies, one casino may allow it while another may say it's not acceptable. That's where the risk comes in, but at least now we have one confirmed example that it's possible.

Especially if you have big money using in a casino platform, and dont want any future problem especially lot of these places still dig into large withdrawals even if they claim no KYC. If staying anonymous is the priority then better find for casinos that don't ask for any personal details at signup, there are still lot of them.

Thank you bro, this is exactly what I was looking for, real experience from someone who actually tried it, now I'm not that worried anymore. And honestly, I don't really see what I'm doing as cheating, because I'm just relying on their own words that they don't require KYC, so I would also like to enjoy that kind of freedom. I'm even using a VPN to access the site, so far I haven't faced any problem and hopefully it stays that way.

As far as I know, no No KYC will ever ask for KYC verification from the user. I want to know which platform you tried the casino on. If a casino's terms and conditions say No KYC and later demands KYC, then how credible is that? Because I saw a casino a few days ago that was a completely NO KYC casino, and I didn't need a Gmail to register there. When I opened an account, they automatically gave me a private key which was a key to access my casino account. If you try a KYC casino and you have to do KYC verification there at some point, then I would say that you should do KYC verification first. Because if you have done KYC before, at least one step of verification is already complete, so there are fewer surprises when you want to withdraw money later.

If I visit any online casino and i read about their KYC policy that says it's not needed unless necessary, there is nothing that can confuse me that such online casino is KYC free, the answer is right there in your front, it's left for you either take it as a no KYC casino or a casino that requires for KYC verification, in the end it's always their call to make, if you don't complied you won't have your way. A no KYC casino should be 100% no KYC, for no reason they should be telling you that if anything comes up they can still ask you for KYC verification, that makes them a casino that will ask you for KYC.

If they want to honor their no KYC, it shouldn't be a problem, but you can't expect most casinos to be lenient, so it's better to use your real name unless you don't mind missing out on that potential big win.
If the casino doesn't budge, you can still post your issue on other platforms and see if they can reconsider your case. It's not always successful, but it won't hurt to try every option available.

Theoretically, even if you called yourself Patrice Lumumba, but in fact you were Marie Antoinette, then if it came to the KYC, this should not prevent you from getting what you won. After all, the essence of your relationship with the casino is not in your name, but in the service provided. If a casino follows the law, it will pay you your winnings. The problem is, there's no guarantee the casino will follow the law and won't use the KYC process as an excuse to deny you your winnings. The real risk is whether the casino is honest (operating within the legal framework) or not, so choose any name. I get what you mean, but I still think the kyc part matters because it is there to make sure that the person receiving the prizes is actually the same person who owns and uses the account. Even if the casino’s service itself doesnt really change depending on the name, using someone else identity can still give the casino a valid reason to hold or even deny a withdrawal especially if they can’t properly verify their account. I'd also agree that the bigger concern is how the casino handles its kyc rules... If it’s a reputable casino, then the verification requirements should be clear from the very beginning and applied the same way to all users/players. It shouldn’t feel like they only bring up this kyc thingy when a player wins a large amount of money. so, I think the issue is not really whether a casino has Kyc or not, its about being the process is fair, reasonable, legal and actually being used in good faith.

Safest way to always use your real information, even when a casino advertises itself no-KYC. Typically when it comes to normal account use, no-KYC means that verification is not required, but it doesn't imply that at some point they cannot ask for it. Having all the details different from the original could cause problems if KYC is set at a later stage due to a large withdrawal, AML checks or suspicious activity. I also agree that this is a factor of the casino's policy. A good business operator should clearly inform upfront when KYC may be required and what players should expect. It should not be a new feature that is suddenly added after someone has won a lot. So instead of just being a no KYC casino, I would check the rules, reasonableness and consistency of the rules with all players.

Most of the casino allowed to edit your KYC lvl 1 information before you proceed on verification KYC lvl 2. Usually, casino doesn’t ask for your name the moment you register especially on a “no kyc” claiming casino because that’s already a conflict on what they are advertising. Nevertheless, you will only provide your real identity once you are already asked to do KYC so this kind of hypothetical scenario is very rare to happened since you specifically mentioned a “no kyc” casino that generally don’t ask initial KYC.

I wouldn't advise you to make any decision that you will later regret. Since they have asked for those information of yours, it is important you provide them because you never can tell where your problem might come from. You understand this involves money, maybe who knows if they can capitalize on the fact that you didn't provide the adequate information about yourself and withheld your winnings. Anything is possible so you get be on the saved side. My concern is what if one day I win big and they ask for KYC. Maybe at that time I will have no choice but to comply and give my real identity. Let me be honest with you there is a higher possibility of losing all your potential winnings to the casino and there will be no case . However, they can decide to silent your entire money and have no case to answer because at your own end you messed up big time. You have no evidence or whatsoever to back up your claims and that's the fact. However It very crucial will do what is expected when dealing with all this casinos otherwise this are most of the challenges will stand to face in future to come.

I will advise you to please do a proper registration on the KYC because you might be stranded in the future when you will win a huge amount of money from casino and wanted to make withdrawals and you get restricted because you haven't done your KYC registration properly this has made many gamblers to loose money and I don't see the reason why it's difficult to register the KYC while creating a casino platform, it's a very simple question and verification to know who's behind the account but some of us finds it very difficult to comply to it and we feel it's not secured. Using one's real name is good because if you use a Nick name during the registration process and anythings happens in the future that requires your real name it will be an issue so I always use my real names while undergoing KYC registration online. It's not a big deal that we will be afraid of because it's secured end to end encrypted.

If you are uncomfortable about providing your personal information, you can avoid the hassle by choosing some other online casino that does not require you to provide information such as your name and phone number. Just like what you have mentioned, they don't require KYC but there is a possibility that you will be asked to submit documents once you have win big. And if ever that you will proceed the registration on that online casino without giving your real name, you might face a potential problem sooner or later. Not all casinos are letting their users to edit the information you provided during registration. Your funds might not be released until you provide the information that matches with your registration.
