What do you think Bitcoin will look like in 10 years?

Whenever I see this similar question my heart aches from the losses that Bitcoin long term holders have faced in the past months, they were once 10 years in the past thinking about the future like we are doing right now, and guess what? They lost everything.

I don't know how the future will look like for Bitcoin but make sure you don't end up learning the hard way while holding your Bitcoin, do not trust a source as your sole strong room for keeping your coins.

10 years into the future it will be better to say I used to omn 10 BTC but now I have 5 BTC because a hardware wallet got hacked and drained my 5 BTC, I'm just saying.

Someone who is investing in the initial stages of wealth accumulation should strive to buy Bitcoin on a regular basis and build his holdings. It is beneficial to understand the bitcoin cycle, but investors should invest based on their income flow and have a long-term perspective. Investing should not be done by calculating the entire cycle. Even if the price of the cryptocurrency bitcoin falls in the marketplace, it cannot be purchased quickly enough, resulting in losses in money.

Well, just it as an example that many here are paid with bitcoin from their campaigns and so that's one effective use case aside from investment.

A lot of campaigns pay in Bitcoin, but everything is still priced in USD and converted to Bitcoin at the time of payment.
On top of that, most people will convert it back to fiat right away or move it into their long term portfolio. Very few people actually keep using Bitcoin for payments.

There's not that much countries that recognizes it as a legal tender but don't forget about one exceptional country and leadership of El Salvador. As I said, the bigger problem is that most people don't want to spend their Bitcoin. They just want to hold it and make profit from it. Until people's habit and behavior change, I don't think we're going to see any major change in the future. Bitcoin will continue to be used more as a store of value than for any other use case.

Bitcoin has become an asset of investment and was not widely used by people for day to day payments. The main reason is that Bitcoin price has grow enormously high with every passing years and also governments are not very much interested in accepting decentralised Bitcoin in their respective area of regime. It doesn't matter where Bitcoin stands in term of day to day payments 10 years from now but one thing look very obvious that price of Bitcoin will be high in next 10 years, which is main goal of people investing money in Bitcoin now.

Bitcoin is stuck to its base ideals: decentralization, censorship, and it's hard capped total supply. These things for sure won't change, but the rate of adoption will. More and more people will have interest in Bitcoin, Bitcoin will have more regulation and more doxing. More centralized entity will set in which will lead to much more adoption.

But I wish we use it for payments, if not for our regular daily needs atleast for something like paying bills once in a while.

Well, in as much as we all want it, this will be difficult to achieve. Bitcoin is really volatile, it is highly discouraged to use such a volatile currency for daily transactions. Although, hodling Bitcoin will certainly give you profit—if you hodl it right—but only in the long term. This alone will discourage traders. But in the future, I believe we will experience less volatility; this will open a new path for Bitcoin and I believe twill be a good one.

I have this deep feeling it can be everyday money all over Europe and also the United States. I don't know why I don't feel this way when it comes to Africa. This is my public opinion about it. Because there are more plans put in place by Americans and Europeans put in place to see that Bitcoin becomes everyday money.

Nothing although stops Bitcoin from being both a store of wealth and value and everyday money, it all depends on what an investor wants. The next ten years is a long time, can we match the gear one step at a time?

I don’t know how some people think, because if we will be honest, then we should know that the government is not even going to allow that happen. We should know the purpose why bitcoin was created, and uptill now we have not been able to achieve bitcoin purpose yet. Bitcoin was created to serve as alternative currency, bitcoin wasn’t created to replace fiat currency.

We want bitcoin to serve as alternative currency, and we finding it difficult to achieve that. All I expect from bitcoin in the next 10 years is for it to have gotten more awareness, but it’s can replace fiat currency.

There is too much consensus about Bitcoin and its use with most people who are having involvement; they always love and want to spread positive things, even many that are not going to happen in the near future, but now they are expecting these to be possible because they are having enough understanding of Bitcoin and its potential.
A few things are surely going to have not truth but possibility because governments have never been happy with this use; they are always creating problems and bringing regulations, but still they fail to control and block this. While I am sure in long run its never been possible bitcoin will be replace fiat currency because its have no depth to do this due to its nature and volatile nature.
Bitcoin is already a game changer; it has enough to stay above many things, but it's not going to do things that we can still do by fiat because it's still dependent on a few things.

I really don't think that anyone can truly say what bitcoin will be on 10 years time, because that is you forecasting the future, which in my opinion I think it's not certain. Bitcoin has been here for over a decade and right now it's still just a digital asset, which my opinion it's a good one, but for it becoming an acceptable currency in the near future, that I don't know right now. Although I really think that bitcoin has come to stay and it's still remains a very good asset to invest in, but I don't know if it will be more than that in 10 years time.

Bitcoin should has circulated in the world with the difference countries successful adopt bitcoin in their countries as ana alternative to their traditional currency,.

Everyday money? I don't think so. Bitcoin's scaling issues and store of value properties (deflationary, fixed supply) makes it a terrible digital cash system. For everyday money, stablecoins would be the ideal choice (even though they're centralized).

10 years is a lot of time in crypto/Blockchain land, so it's likely most (if not all) of the world's countries will embrace Bitcoin as the leading safe-haven asset. In other words, countries will have large Bitcoin reserves instead of Gold. Technical-wise, Bitcoin will improve in every way possible. Many things can happen in the future. Let's just hope BTC stays decentralized forever. That's what really matters.
