🌙 ZKas (ZKAS) - Privacy by Default, 1-Second Blocks, Kaspa Merged Mining

"Private by default. One-second speed."

https://zkas.info/

🔹 What is ZKas?

ZKas is a new Layer-1 cryptocurrency that combines:

• The speed and scalability of Kaspa's BlockDAG technology
• The privacy technology of Zcash (Orchard + Halo 2)
• Proof-of-Work security through kHeavyHash
• Merge mining compatibility with Kaspa

Unlike many privacy coins, every transaction on ZKas is shielded by default. Sender, receiver and transferred amount remain private.

Key idea: Bring strong privacy to a network capable of producing blocks every second.

⚡ Main Features

✅ Mandatory Privacy
All transactions are shielded by default.

✅ 1 Second Block Time
Fast confirmations through BlockDAG architecture.

✅ Kaspa Merge Mining
Miners can secure ZKas using the same kHeavyHash algorithm as Kaspa.

✅ No Transparent Transactions
Privacy is part of the protocol itself.

✅ Halo 2 Zero-Knowledge Proofs
Modern privacy technology without trusted setup.

✅ Proof of Work Security
Decentralized and secured by mining.

📊 Specifications

Ticker: ZKAS
Consensus: GHOSTDAG BlockDAG
Algorithm: kHeavyHash
Privacy: Orchard / Halo 2
Block Time: 1 second
Mining: Merge-mineable with Kaspa
Launch: 26 July 2026
Privacy: Mandatory

💰 Tokenomics

• Initial block reward: 60 ZKAS
• Miner reward: 57 ZKAS (95%)
• Development fund: 3 ZKAS (5%)
• Halving every 3 months
• Long-term tail emission: 0.6 ZKAS

❓ Why ZKas?

Many cryptocurrencies force users to choose between:

• Fast transactions
• Strong privacy
• Decentralization

ZKas aims to combine all three by integrating Kaspa's high-speed BlockDAG architecture with Zcash's proven privacy technology.

The goal is simple:

"A private-by-default cryptocurrency with near-instant settlement and Proof-of-Work security."

📢 Discussion

What do you think about combining Kaspa's BlockDAG with Zcash-style privacy?

• Can ZKas become a serious privacy coin contender?
• Will merged mining provide sufficient long-term security?
• How does it compare to Monero, Zcash and Kaspa?

Feel free to share your thoughts, mining results, benchmarks and ecosystem projects below.

⛏️ Mining Pools

ZKas can currently be mined through the following pools:

✅ Official Pool
https://mining-pool.zkas.info/

✅ K1Pool
https://k1pool.com/

✅ KekPool
https://kekpool.com/

⚙️ Mining Algorithm

Algorithm: kHeavyHash

ZKas uses the same mining algorithm as Kaspa and supports merged mining, allowing miners to secure both networks simultaneously.

💡 Why Mine ZKas?

• Privacy-focused Layer-1 blockchain
• 1-second BlockDAG blocks
• Merge mining with Kaspa
• Fair Proof-of-Work distribution
• Growing ecosystem and community

📈 Pool Operators

🔥 What's Happening Around ZKas Right Now?

ZKas is still in its early days, but the community is already growing fast.

One of the most interesting places to follow the project is the official Discord server, where miners, traders, developers and early supporters are actively discussing the future of the ecosystem.

💬 Active OTC Market

The Discord contains an OTC (Over-The-Counter) trading channel where community members can buy and sell ZKAS directly against KAS.

This market provides an early price discovery mechanism before wider exchange adoption.

Current OTC order books and market activity can be followed here:

At the time of writing, thousands of ZKAS are being traded daily and both buy and sell orders are continuously being updated by community members.

📈 Early Market Activity

The OTC market has already seen significant volume, demonstrating real interest from both miners and investors.

As with any young cryptocurrency project, volatility remains high, but the community-driven market is helping establish fair price discovery.

🏦 Exchange Availability

ZKAS is also available on:

NoirTrade is a very recent exchange and liquidity is still limited, so traders should expect wider spreads and lower order book depth compared to more established exchanges.

Nevertheless, it represents one of the first opportunities to trade ZKAS on a public exchange.

🚀 Why Early Users Are Interested

• Privacy by default
• 1-second BlockDAG technology
• Kaspa merged mining support
• Active mining community
• Growing OTC market
• Early-stage ecosystem with significant room for expansion

🌙 We Are Still Early

Many successful projects started with small communities discussing ideas on forums and Discord servers.

Today, ZKas is building:
• Infrastructure
• Mining ecosystem
• Community markets
• Exchange presence

Whether you're a miner, trader, developer or privacy enthusiast, now is the perfect time to join the discussion and help shape the future of ZKas.

Which version of Orchard/Halo2 did you use?
Was this before the NU5 upgrade?
ZCash's Pre-June 2026 had a counterfeit vulnerability buried so deep, it took ZODL 4 years & AI before it was finally discovered...
Knowing a bug was active inside ZCash for 4 years & it had the ability to undetectably create an unlimited amount of counterfeit ZEC within Orchard is scary and because of privacy properties of Orchard, there is no way to cryptographically prove whether the vulnerability was exploited before it was remediated.

So I Worry....but i am definitely intrigued.
