Quote
Philippine Stock Exchange (PSE) President and CEO Ramon Monzon publicly questioned the decision, raising concerns that a returning Binance would draw retail capital away from local equities and into speculative assets

“Fighting for these retail investors is an ongoing battle for PSE. We have to contend with crypto, we had to contend with FX [foreign exchange] trading before, then we had to contend with online gambling.”

Ramon Monzon, CEO, PSE

It is obvious naman na talagang magkakaroon ng competition dahil shared space ang investment, how well the sector performs is dependent dun sa inooffer nila.  Kung meron silang magandang program, bakit pa lilipat ng mga investors from stock exchange to crypto trading?  I do not think that questioning other sectors na mag-operate sa bansa is the best move to prove their capability.  If they are capable, dapat hayaan na lang nila na magkaroon ng free market, don't use their established authority to hinder other financial sectors na mag-establish sa ating bansa.

Kayo, sa tingin niyo, is this one of the reasons kung bakit mabagal ang usad ng mga pagrehistro ng mga global exchanges dito sa ating bansa? O meron pa bang ibang dahilan bukod dito?

I personally think na may humaharanf talaga sa international exchange like binance.

I honestly haven't experienced putting my money on PSEI. I think they need to do marketing campaigns like teaching Filipino how to invest on PH stocks para magka new customers sila. They need to partner with investment gurus or influencer to guide us non-PSEI users how to use their platform and navigate inside and out, parang kagaya lang ng crypto exchanges na sandamakmak ang partnerships with influencers.

I agree with you, investment space is a free space at hindi dapat sila matakot kung alam nila na may iooffer silang mas better para sa mga Pilipino.
