How prepared is INEC for the 2027 election

I read on a Facebook feed on KAA about how trillions of naira are being pumped into INEC; over 200 billion of that money is for digital infrastructure, yet the INEC server is still running on outdated Android 10, with cheap security features.

My question and concerns about all this are about our PVC and results that will be communicated to over 90 million voters. And on the note of INEC being capable of conducting a credible election without a hack into the system? Do you think that is possible? INEC has never conducted a free and credible elections since it's creation and they won't start conducting free and fair elections from 2027 because they are all corrupted individuals, INEC would have conducted a credible elections if the president was not the one appointing the chairman and it's members, if that power is stripped from the President then we can have a little hope that 2027 elections will be conducted without manipulations.

From past experience INEC is one of the most corrupt board in Nigeria and the officials are easily bribe and they overturned results for someone who doesn't merit it, so we should just take away our minds from INEC getting it right and vote massively and stand and make sure that our votes counts just the way it was done in Osun state and that's the only way that we can get it right this time around because hoping on INEC to get it right will be in vain.

When Bola Ahmed Tinubu named Professor Joash Ojo Amupitan who's his right hand man as INEC chairman I knew that the 2027 election won't be free and fair and Bola Ahmed Tinubu will win the presidential election if Nigeria youths are waiting for INEC to conduct a free and fair. I'm not surprised that out of the trillions of Naira pumped into INEC for the preparation of 2027 election, INEC haven't been able to use 200 billion of that money that's for digital infrastructure to deploy plans that will show they are ready for the upcoming election, because Professor Joash Ojo Amupitan was made INEC chairman to announce Bola Ahmed Tinubu as the winner of the upcoming presidential election whether he wins the election, so INEC server is still running on outdated Android 10 so that it will be easy for them to manipulate the election results if it didn't go according to their way.

What we witnessed in osun was just a tips of what the 2027 presidential election might look like, although the governor was lucky to have retain back his seat in the end but it was because davido called on the international community to come to their assistance during the election otherwise they wanted to rig the election to favour the APC candidate. I think whether we like it or not,this INEC Charman will work to ensure that Tinubu win the election. The security agencies are the ones that I blame the most in election rigging. They can never say no bribery and stand for fairness and justice because it is through them that Inec officials are able to manipulate election results. INEC will not be the one to determine the election victory because those in power will definitely emerge as the winner. Currently in Nigeria, I have yet to see a strong opposition to defeat the ruling party in the country.

Going by true democracy, you may have to see the election of President Goodluck Ebele Jonathan as a definition of what democracy is. Well, in today's election, people are mostly concerned about their personal interests and forcefully emerged into power by strong hand influence.

If you're seated in the inec office either to collect your permanent clothes card or to carry out a particular assignment that's in a way related to the 2027 election, you will see how unprepared they are and the fact that they are doing absolutely nothing about it.

Should we talk about there server being down most of the time denying prospective voters access to Thier permanent voters card or that they take at least 30 minutes to attend to the needs of voters? Truth remains that we all know that we can't rely on the preparedness of inec for an effective election. They've never been serious and haven't shown that they've changed at all.

I agree that the Osun election should be a warning ahead of 2027. However, I think we should be careful about making claims of planned rigging without solid evidence. The bigger issue is ensuring that INEC remains independent and that security agencies act professionally, reject bribes, and protect voters rather than politicians. If security agencies genuinely uphold the law and citizens remain vigilant, it becomes much harder for anyone to manipulate the electoral process. Ultimately, Nigerians deserve an election where every vote is counted and the winner is determined by the people.

I also saw the news where it was reported that INEC server was hacked, it was playing some unknown elements on the website, but somebody said we should not fall for this trick as it is the pattern the electoral body wants to use to say that they cannot transmit result electronically, as there is evidence of a certain compromise on the system, so instead they will go with manual coalition which has all the potentials of rigging. I can tell you for free that the incumbent might likely win, this is not because am a supporter or not, this is because the body that was established to conduct the electron is being appointed by the President of the Federal Republic and we know what this current President can do, because according to him, everything is fair in politics.

What exactly are they preparing for, that’s the question to ask them because as far as I’m concerned, whatever preparation INEC is preparing now is strictly on how they will rig the 2027 general elections and nothing more. All those billions and trillions of Naira being speculated that it’s for INEC to get themselves ready are there to serve as bribe to whoever that’s in charge of election coalition and results. INEC is very prepared as usual for the 2027 election, they will conduct it as they have been doing right from time, their allegiance is to the President as usual because their interest is their selfish interest, they will rig the elections as usual in favor of the seating President Tinubu so personally i don’t have any confidence in the INEC, the only way INEC would have performed effectively is if they were a completely independent body but as long as the INEC chairman was appointed by President Tinubu nothing good can come out of the elections, the 2027 elections is already in the basket as usual for president Tinubu except Nigerians wake up and do the needful.

I wonder what gambling should be doing in the server that's meant to handle a country electoral system and generating voters card, so actually they no what they are planning to do but is definitely not to prepare anything to bring quality on the election because from the first place trillions is absurd to be spent on INEC when our election is not online, my question is that are they going to be uploading the results online this time or is going to be through our traditional way because if so what are they going to be fixing that would cost trillions of naira. Actually the more I hear all this news that is the more I'm losing hope of a credible president on the election.

Op if a site is vulnerable to hacking, I mean too easy to be accessed by hackers, what does that mean? personally I think the people behind the site has nothing to offer, or perhaps the site was built based on the demand of the commission, when you mentioned that site still run Android 10, the first thing I thought of is bullshit, why do I think that the people in charge knows what they are doing, this show that we may not have a different result from the ones we have had in the past, Nigeria is just a joke, how will the people in charge of our electoral process in a country like Nigeria,  choose to be a bunch of clowns in this modern era, too bad to be funny, BTW, what's casino like stuffs has to do with the INEC site .
