I have come to understand how everything in life is connected to everything else. Every decision made in life stems from another decision, and so it goes on. To have peace in life is to find contentment. Those seeking to be wealthy through a particular means don't know the cost that they have to pay when they get to that level. Sometimes they will have to be involved in things they never thought of doing in their life. I have seen people who swore on their lives never to do bad things end up doing it because they want a good life all of a sudden.

As the cost of living and the cost of maintaining a high-status luxury lifestyle rise, it creates a powerful incentive for further corruption.

Wages and Staffing: To service these ultra-wealthy clients, firms must hire top-tier wealth managers, boutique lawyers, luxury brokers, and specialized crew members. Because these staff are hard to find, companies must pay premium wages.

When people enter the world of extreme wealth—whether through legitimate business or political power
People often think a corrupt official or broker steals 10 million and just sits on it. In reality, maintaining a hyper-luxury lifestyle requires continuous, massive cash flow just to pay for upkeep:
For example:A superyacht doesn't just cost money to buy; its annual maintenance, fuel, docking fees, and elite crew salaries typically cost 10% of the boat’s total value every single year.  50 million yacht requires 5 million every year just to keep it floating.
The Ultra-Luxury Economy: High-end dining, rare wines, exclusive clubs, and elite escort services operate on artificial scarcity

The tragic irony of history is that the taxpayers and the front-line soldiers pay the ultimate price, while the brokers at the top treat the conflict as a financial life raft to keep their personal "Winter Palaces" afloat.

Now we can understood corruption specially in military defence field as many companies moving in this field "easy money" and large money the payers, off course tax payers.

Op, at this juncture, people see the corruption as a normal things in life or they sees it as a profitable business where only the public own position or governments head titles can be benefiting. Then leave the common man stranded, when they are benefiting from it, how would you want them to stop?. The facts is, they can creat more wealth to the betterment of the nation since they are holding or controlling the public funds, but they won't, due to thier selfishness. So that's why the corruption cannot be tackle by only one person, like even of we decided to changes the person in power today, corruption will still continue, because the cabinet under him are all corrupted, unless they all decide to work together fairly and stop wrongdoings. The common or less prevelage ones are paying thier taxes and the government is not doing the needful, so when the tax collectors are are corrupt, there must be a higher cost on government and then the less prevelage ones will be paying a heavy taxes.

I don't think that higher cost of living itself is creating corruption, but I agree that pressure to maintain a luxurious life can sometimes encourage people to get those things through different illegal sources of income. They do not see from where the money is coming they just want to be wealthy and want to spend a luxurious life to compete with each other.  The main and the bigger issue is having weak institutions, poor accountability and also having the opportunity to get away with stealing public money. The defence sectors and the military sector can be vulnerable because of their high budget and complex contract that an ordinary taxpayer cannot easily scrutinize.   Salary is not enough to satisfy the greed for money,  they know that they are not going to be punished. For that, strong oversight and transparency are more important than simply blaming the rising cost of living.

I think corruption and the need to ever maintain luxury is the reason alot things that doesn't seem normal occur in the society, and one thing that is paramount Is there is always going to be corruption. Higher lifestyle needs high sourced of income to maintain the lifestyle you are adapted to, so no getting that ever increasing need to earn money legally leads to the alternative, illegal runs or embezzlement.

Yes but obviously it is a lifestyle that in the end will only cause a lot of pressure and problems because you will not always have a way to meet all the needs of a luxurious life that you want, corruption is indeed a shortcut but there is always a big risk behind that decision.
Living simply according to the contents of your wallet is much better, although it seems ordinary but at least you are free from problems and pressures that will befall you when you are unable to fulfill the desire to live luxuriously.

Not always the case. I believe that this is context specific.
I also believe that corruption is not as simplistic as the OP is alluding to. Corruption is very complex and in different levels.
I guess what I am trying to say is that the model of high cost of living leading to corruption is not as linear as it is portrayed in the OP.

As the cost of living and the cost of maintaining a high-status luxury lifestyle rise, it creates a powerful incentive for further corruption.

Everything is connected, it's because of the corruption that they get money they didn't work for so they don't value it and spend recklessly as such casing inflation in the market and this turns around to hurt the economy by making everything to increase in price especially the luxury items. To meet up the high cost of things, more corruption is being done and then the cycle continues. All this is at the expense of the tax payers as they're the ones funding all this luxurious lifestyle by the govenwmmt, they're the ones causing all the troubles we're having as a nation and this is happening because we keep on electing bad govenwmmt into power and they aren't tackling inflation by creating better economy instead they trive on spending lavishly without anything being done to help their citizens.

The high cost of living you’re talking about here is not a necessarily a necessity but rather a want or choice. An individual who wants to live the luxury lifestyle without having a legal value will always be more inclined to do fraudulent and shady businesses.

A luxurious lifestyle requires luxurious maintenance, and it needs a steady flow of cash to keep the lifestyle afloat. This is why most times I say that “MONEY NEVER SATISFIES”.

People in my country often wonder why our corrupt politicians never get tired of looting public funds; one possible explanation is that the lifestyle they’ve gotten used to needs servicing and at that point they can do whatever to stay in play.

I also see how this can have an economic effect; when there are a lot of wealthy people in an area living and maintaining a luxurious lifestyle this creates a demand in housing, luxury goods, exclusive services, security, entertainment and other resources, prices can rise eventually having a wider impact on cost of living. Things just automatically becomes premium.
And this is where the irony is painful because the common man (taxpayer) suffers, because he’ll be forced to sustain a lifestyle that is higher than his income.

If I'm not wrong, this topic has been discussed before. Luxury life motivates one, at least, to understand why people are corrupt. They will say they had no choice, they were forced, but no. I think everyone has a choice to not take a bribe and say no. That's the bravest thing to do.

Even if you lose your job, you must not take the bribe, but this step could only solve the problem if they won't replace you with someone who would take a bribe.

Luxury life and maintaining that life is important, but it does not directly mean someone must be doing illegal work.

People these days work so hard that they can easily afford that life, and yachts have different scenarios. People who are super rich, they know they can afford those expenses. They still buy them for a reason because I believe they make money out of it.

The entire system is just rigged against the average taxpayer because if and when things get quite expensive for ordinary citizens, even the rich ones feel the impact too because they have to somehow service their own large lifestyle. So to keep up with their luxurious living style, they channel their financial restocking to the ordinary people by squeezing them harder with crazy taxes and bills. They see the country's funds as their personal birthright or ATM. The people sweating tiredlessly on the street are the ones that normally loses.
