Warning for Airdrop hunters and web3 users

The thing is that people need to be conscious about Airdrop especially how they go about it , though some Airdrop maybe profitable but this doesn't mean we shouldn't be careful on how we handled Airdrop. It is wrong for people to allow a bot to have access of their wallet because they maybe be scam of the coin they in their wallet and end up losing instead of profiting from the Airdrop. It is best to used a separate wallet for Airdrop instead of using the same wallet were we are storing our assets , at least allowing a bot to have access to such wallet may not pose any risk since their is no assets there.

Most of our Nigerian brothers are so good at hunting airdrops.

Also thank you for bringing this to the local board as mot everyone was notified of this update but as you have brought it here, it's going to go a long way to help inform more people. I love when things like this happen as it shows we're our brothers keeper.

As for the airdrop hunters, to avoid becoming a victim, it's good to always have separate wallets just for your hunting activities as this prevents things like this happening to you as you can't trust anything that isn't Bitcoin itself in this industry.

Take it that everybody is out to scam you so be careful and be security conscious in all you do especially when it involved connecting your wallet to an App, Bot, Website or everything else's irrespective of how much you're promised to be renewed as it might just be an avenue to gain access to your wallet and scam you later.

The possibility is high if we are to actually look at it that way, also adding to the account the fact that the said team has also been linked to the team behind the $20m project funding loot, which the source also claimed is a group of Vietnamese scammers.

I thought this was one of the very first scam attacks that has been around ever since, and everyone is supposed to be aware of it? I'm disgusted with investors, mostly those who have been and accumulated years of assets and are losing it due to this nursery sting.

What type of old scam attack are you referring to? The incident mostly affected those who used the project to create a wallet used for airdrop hunting. Maybe some of them took the wallet seriously and funded it with other tokens, including what could have been earned through those cross-chain bridge claims, which their mistake was not the airdrop but trusting a strange source for their private key generation.

For someone who’s not a fan of airdrop this is the first time I’m coming across the name lootbot, during the time everyone went crazy with airdrop farming like the hype was all over the internet I still didn’t farm these airdrops, at the end the coin became a laughingstock. Nowadays no airdrop will give profit, every creator is finding one way or the other to milk the community so expecting such coin to yield profit is a total waste of time, the rate at which scammers grow everyday is this the right time to link wallets with airdrop project? We should be careful, such scam is very rare not now when everyone focus is on other valuable coin.

Security and privacy comes first in the crypto space.
By now everyone should have known about this and those who know and ignore it or don't know pay a high price for it.

You're right and people are just to ignorant of a lot of things as long as a wallet has the ability to receive and trade their coins to local fiat, most of these guys don't bother their selves with transferring their coins provided it is there and accessible to them whenever they need it .
I do believe that, most of our country users of crypto don't really bother themselves with security and take it very common, truth be told, most persons here are victim of this.

Once a site is asking for connecting a wallet before interacting in the investment plan, a great look should be taken into action, it's even scary for me to connect my wallet to a telegram integrated site and stuffs because of airdrop hunting, what a risk mehn.

I won't advise anyone to participate in such, except the user has a separate empty wallet solely for airdrops.
