Rather than playing the blame game and put all the blame to the whales, why not focus on accumulating bitcoin and become one of those whales someday. Its not the fault of the whales to easily control and manipulate the market, that's one of their advantages of being a whale so they will do everything that will favor them and give them the biggest benefits in the end.
Unfortunately, no one can stop those big whales especially that they are in their good positions to manipulate the outcomes of the market. So instead of competing or trying to stop them, why not be one of them and set them as your motivation to never stop buying and holding large amount of bitcoin.

OP, I think you also forgot that the crypto market is highly volatile. Whales have nothing to do with such a volatile market, yes they can manipulate the market but they can never go against when volatility is already at work. So if you think that just because everything is happening is going against your predictions and speculations, you pointed fingers directly to the whales because you think everything is manipulated, when its volatility of the market itself that is in action.
Whales are not here to destroy whatever bitcoin we have. Its our poor thinking and wrong actions that could ruin our bitcoin, whales are just waiting along the corner to save those bitcoin from us.

Bitcoin will always remain relevant, but we have to understand the strategy to use to be profitable when investing in Bitcoin. This will make it possible for us to get things right rather than only being enthusiastic about investing without following the necessary guidelines. Anything you go through with Bitcoin is a result of either your negligence or the knowledge acquired to serve as protection for you.

Strategies are simple but need good discipline to maintain investor's practice, and knowledge beforehand as well as never-stop-improving to have strong belief in the future of Bitcoin. - Invest what you afford to lose: to have that, as said, there are requirements like Bitcoin fundamental knowledge, and discipline.
- Manage your finance well for: regular bills, emergency fund, and investment capital. Never cross them each other and use all for investment.
Having these things ready, it's time to apply Dollar Cost Averaging for investment. - Remember never use leverage like Strategies do. Use own money, and only invest with own money, say no to leverage.

@OP, there is nothing to worry much about because this is not something new. This behaviour of whales has been repeated for a long time, and those who really understand the volatility and fluctuation behaviour of the Bitcoin market don't care that much. But yes, this disturbs those kinds of people who trade on a daily basis to make a profit, not those who are in the market with a long-term holding plan. Additionally, such kind of fluctuation and volatility are like a blessing for those who are using a DCA strategy to accumulate more and more points.
And whenever any long-term holder sees any dip in the market, they rush to buy more, even if they are not using a DCA strategy from time to time. I always see Bitcoin volatility factor with the point of view of a long-term holder, not as a trader. So, this way, volatility is never considered a bad factor. This is my point of view. DYOR!

Honestly, I am getting tired of the disrespect and of seeing people justify crypto manipulation simply because they profit from it.
My investment decisions are my responsibility. That has nothing to do with the point I am making.
And comparing crypto manipulation with manipulation in traditional markets as if they were the same thing completely misses the issue. Crypto is younger, less mature, more fragile, less regulated and far more sensitive to concentrated capital and large players.
Saying “all markets are manipulated” is not a defense.
Again you’re mentioning Crypto and putting it alongside Bitcoin in your rant. I’ll have you know that there are differences between this two. Bitcoin is bitcoin, the first decentralised digital asset with a fixed supply and fundamentally different design while cryptos are just Altcoins and other projects trying to emulate Bitcoin. The level of manipulation that goes on in crypto space might be what you’re talking about and not Bitcoin itself, particularly shitcoins and smaller projects. Bitcoin is manipulated too but its size, decentralisation, liquidity and market maturity makes it very different from cryptos. You can describe the broader crypto market as fragile, less mature, younger, less regulated and far more sensitive to concentrated capital and large players. But using the same characteristics to talk about bitcoin without making the distinction is very misleading.

Whales are now in such a commanding position because of their strategies not just because they have invested huge money in Bitcoin. They buy Bitcoin when others fear to buy like when price of Bitcoin went down to 58k recently then while people were busy making speculations that price will go down to 30k or 40k. At that moment whales were busy buying Bitcoin and now when price has gone up they are selling and increasing there wealth. The point is nobody is stopping us from copying what whales do. It is our own fear and assumptions that restrict us from taking advantage of Bitcoin.

The most important thing is to know the amount you can afford to invest, have a clear plan and whenever the market starts moving up or down don’t make emotional decision sharply because sometimes choosing the wrong strategy is not even the major mistake but changing it every time the market is going wild, bitcoin can test your patience more than the knowledge you have.

You have described every financial and commodity market on the planet.
The decision to overextend leverage, buy high, and panic sell low is entirely on you.
Quit looking for someone to blame for your poor life choices.
It’s true that everybody has responsibility for their financial decisions. Nobody should force anyone to use leverage 0r buy when the price is eventually high. That’s why education is very essential because it’s not everyone who understands the risks involved. I do not believe that a market where a relatively small number of players control absurd amounts of capital can constantly be presented as a free, clean market driven simply by supply and demand.
Market manipulation exists in all markets but it is a lot more complicated than you think. It is not like they "control" the market. There have been so many cases where whales tried to manipulate the market by going against the trend and got crushed by the actual "supply and demand" driven movement. I did tried my hands on fx trading back in the day, some of the knowledge I carried into cryptocurrency trading even though I wasn’t successful in my attempt. One of the basic lessons I learnt was, “Never trade against the trend” It’s always the easiest way to loose it all. There are certain aspects to making a living where you don’t have to do what others are doing to make better your finances but, thats often not the case in trading. It’s a little surprising to hear that the whales can get bought or sold out too while trading against the trend in an attempt to manipulate the market. It’s only normal to accept that these things can happen when their attempt to sway the positions of the masses just doesn’t work as that’s the one means to manipulate the market. It doesn’t always works out good though.

Dear diary... today I learned how financial markets work.
This is a wild-west market. Billionaires don't give a damn about "Satoshi's vision" or "mass adoption". If you're constantly getting "crushed", stop playing the casino with 50x leverage, buy, hold, and zoom out. This is what people never regretted doing. If you can't handle the volatility, stick with index funds.
Hopefully this makes sense.

Rather than blaming others for our losses, it’s better to learn from our mistakes, learn to manage our risks and invest with discipline. But making a decision is the biggest responsibility, here the decision will be taken after understanding. We can take advice on it and also take the opinion of experts and only after that we decide whether to buy or hold. Our emotional decisions will be the trouble for us and it can also spoil our Bitcoin profits. Although this is a more delicate thing in trading, if we have taken even one wrong decision and worked with high leverage, it can put us under a lot of pressure along with losses. The more you learn about trading, the more it will never be its full extent, so we will need new knowledge and experience while looking at each new market. Losses are the biggest root for everyone, either you can endure it and succeed at the last turn or you can sink into the ground and it will be very difficult to get out of there.

In order to save yourself all the stress of trading and run at loss, it's better to avoid it and focus on long term investment because that will give you a good profit and rest of mind in future. You can come up with all the strategy you want to use to trade in order to make profit, it will only last for a while, and losses will be the end results.
A long term investor don't need to think whether to buy and hodli because that's his obligation and he wouldn't think twice. It's only trading that will put you into confusion because it's complicated.

I agree with your opinion. Trading is not only complex but also consumes a great deal of time, and energy. This stands in stark contrast to investing in Bitcoin, which requires only one thing: patience. Furthermore, trading offers no guarantee of significant profit, and can even lead to total loss; making it arguably little more than a different form of gambling. Therefore, carefully weigh your options before taking risky steps, or consider investing in Bitcoin, which is far less complicated.

I'm not the Pope, but I also have the view that they (the Pope) certainly hold a large amount of bitcoin, so automatically, any of their decisions whether it's accumulation, distribution, or just holding will definitely have an impact or cause waves in the market. In fact this doesn't only apply to the crypto market but also to other markets like stocks. So this isn't manipulation it's actually very natural because they have a very disproportionate ownership of bitcoin compared to others.
What I mean is that anyone with a large capital will always have an advantage in taking advantage of market volatility and this is normal because the crypto market is a free market. So actually, Bitcoin has given equal access to everyone but equal opportunities don't mean equal results. Investors with large funds will certainly outperform investors with small funds.
The point is, what happens in the market isn’t anyone’s fault it’s just the reality of the market. In the market there’s only equal opportunity for everyone, and it all depends on each investor ability to take advantage of market movements.

Even bitcoin investment don't guarantee you profit in the long term but based on bitcoin past history that the price increases overtime and creat a new ATH, that has given us the confidence to invest in bitcoin for long term hoping to be profitable because bitcoin is an asset that's still growing. Trading is highly risky due to the volatile nature of the market but when you invest in long term, it reduces the risk attached to bitcoin volatility. I don't know if traders don't understand this or they're just impatient with the market.

The crypto market, especially bitcoin, grants you the freedom to do what you want to do with your assets. The whales are doing what they do because they can, and they have the capital to do it. They are never going to force you to sell your bitcoins against your will; it is your choice to either sell, buy more, or keep hodling.
One thing that you will admit is that you are not getting to realise just now that the bitcoin price is volatile. It has always been like that, and the whales' involvement should not be an excuse for anyone to panic and become a weak hand when the price of bitcoin dips. I expect that you should understand how the Bitcoin market works.
Now that you understand that the bitcoin market is heavily manipulated by whales, you, as a low-capital investor, should also keep your emotions aside and match their energy. Plan yourself as well and keep hodling like your life depends on it. Know when to keep hodling, when to accumulate more, and when to withdraw. Plan your strategy to favour you. Whales don't care about you.

Honestly, I am getting tired of the disrespect and of seeing people justify crypto manipulation simply because they profit from it.
Respect is earned, not given! If you don't like criticism, then talk to your mirror at home. My investment decisions are my responsibility.
Oh lol, so when it comes to your coins it your decision but when it comes to our coins, it must be your decision also! Looks like we have found a blakecoin holder! You are not defending Bitcoin. You are defending your own pockets.
And you care because? Oh, we know, it's in your pockets' interest! So many warriors of justice lately, but somehow it's all a facade, the only fight is about their beliefs being true and you being wrong. Seems like the emptier their pockets are, the more they want to "save" Bitcoin!

Exactly, people make mistakes then blame it on the whales. Since they understand the market and how big whales pull out to make people panic and sell then they shouldn't keep falling for that trick, imagine understanding someone's strategy and still allowing yourself get beaten by it . Whales would only do what they have to do to buy more Bitcoins cause they know how valuable it is so anyone who choose to be decieved by their manipulations and later blame them for being strategic isn't really serious. Bitcoin is an asset that progresses on the long run which is why short term dips from manipulations shouldn't cause panic.

OP, you seem butthurt probably due to making bad trading decisions or getting scammed. Putting the blame on someone else for your own mistakes is the easiest thing ever, but it doesn't solve any problem. So you think that the crypto whales are to be blamed for you losing crypto and for your own trading mistakes. Do you have any valid proof that the crypto whales are manipulating the market? If there's no proof, your theory is just speculation.
