Everything that has a beginning also has an end. No asset or other thing stays young and healthy forever. However, deaths vary greatly. I think the death of Bitcoin is one of the sweetest.
If bitcoin is dying, then it’s taking its sweet time. Maybe you should save this funeral speech until you have gotten something more convincing than wishful thinking. In a second thought, what are you doing here? I don’t like you because your way of thinking is not grounded in facts, logic or reality. Next time try and think about what you want to say about bitcoin and make sure your argument is based on facts, logic and reality rather than assumptions, speculation or wishful thinking.

You are saying that bitcoin is not something to believe in, but where are all these people coming from that are trying to own bitcoin and maximize their bitcoin accumulation with their hard-earned money? They hear the news that bitcoin is dead but with their actions and decisions towards bitcoin, they are saying different thing.
Honestly, I don't mind if people tell that bitcoin is dead, I'm used to that actually. But why is it that I don't hear people yelling that bitcoin is dead when there is bullish market happening, or maybe they are just trying to attack bitcoin when the price is low and bearish. Then that claim that bitcoin is dead is more like negotiable.

Bitcoin is ready, finished, succeeded ("dead" in not the best word here but not totally wrong as well) because its primary contribution is done. Bitcoin’s primary contribution was demonstrating that cryptocurrencies (shares of reputation in electronical form) are technically, politically and economically possible - Bitcoin has been a finger. Of cause, Bitcoin has many other important contributions too but no of them are worth the Noble Prize and they are successfully copied by other cryptocurrencies if not today then tomorrow. I don't want to offend BTC by saying that....Bitcoin’s main contribution was creating the "school", and it is natural for students to surpass their teacher. It is an honor, not a disgrace, for a teacher when his students surpass him ! Bitcoin is a finger pointing at the Moon—not the Moon itself. And paradoxically, that is precisely its greatest strength. It has laid the foundation for something whose true potential we are only just beginning to glimpse. Look at for example https://medium.com/@johncpalmer/what-if-everyone-had-their-own-cryptocurrency-551ea2f9aa1dJust imagine—if even a fraction of the ideas presented in this article become reality... Today we concentrate our attention to only pump-dump and scam. Have you ever imagined that this is only one part of the truth (and not the most important one from the perspective of long run investor) ?

I feel there is a grain of truth in that claim.
Technically, Bitcoin has twice experienced a state of "clinical death", a fact that can be proven (*). From different perspectives, one might argue that Bitcoin has died repeatedly or has ceased to exist under certain definitions. To its detractors, it is as if Bitcoin was never even born. The only people who truly regard Bitcoin as alive are those who have experienced its benefits. *) https://www.reddit.com/r/CryptoCurrency/comments/13ercpe/throughout_its_history_the_bitcoin_network_was

The notorious claim that "Bitcoin is dead" is incorrect in several respects. Bitcoin bears no resemblance to anything usually referred to as a dead coin. Not at all.
However, in one sense, this claim might also be correct... Bitcoin is dead in the same sense as a Nobel Prize-winning poet. It is at the pinnacle of fame and can be a great source of inspiration. But it is not something to believe in or to bet on. I feel there is a grain of truth in that claim.
I don't understand why some people say Bitcoin is dead, because essentially, what's dead is that Bitcoin still exists and we can still buy it right now. Furthermore, if "dead" is referring to its price, I don't think that's true either, as I believe Bitcoin will experience another surge, as it has at least this year. So,, the claim that Bitcoin is dead is clearly untrue. If it's referring to the things mentioned above, it's probably just a way to panic people so they'll eventually buy Bitcoin. So,, don't think too much about this, because Bitcoin will never die and will always thrive. So, if someone says Bitcoin will collapse, it's clear that they're just hallucinating. Because from what perspective, Bitcoin will die, because currently, so many people are buying Bitcoin. So, this clearly shows that Bitcoin is continuing to grow. Therefore,, it's a bit strange to hear someone say that Bitcoin is dead.

What is the exact reason for this? You can still bet or believe on Bitcoin just like it was 10 years ago, the blockchain still decentralized and the price can go even higher. The claim that Bitcoin is dead has always been considered as just another fud but this sentence is also not true. In my opinion, after few decades since Bitcoin has come to existence, nothing really changes despite the price and more adoption. Therefore even if you're hardcore cypherpunk, believing in Bitcoin is still the way to go. It's literally the most decentralized currency in the world and you're saying it's not something to believe in? I don't think that's right.

"Bitcoin is dead" is a famous attack, fud but since 2009 till 2026, Bitcoin has never died, and we all know that as of writing. There are 477 times of "Bitcoin is dead", maybe more if some are missing but Bitcoin is here, and is exchanged with price around $77,000. It's not a dead coin, never be, and will never be. https://99bitcoins.com/bitcoin-obituaries/https://bitcoindeaths.com/https://www.bitcoinisdead.org/https://bitbo.io/dead/Everything that has a beginning also has an end. No asset or other thing stays young and healthy forever. However, deaths vary greatly. I think the death of Bitcoin is one of the sweetest. Though there's a truth on your first statement, don't worry, everyone of us here won't be around no more when Bitcoin die. But if you think Bitcoin has reached it's peak (i think that's what you mean when you said "it is at it's pinnacle of fame"), well, that's what the FUDsters have been telling everytime it made corrections. These people are vital part of the market, because they help people buy back at the lowest price possible. Now, if you don't think Bitcoin is not capable of generating massive wealth anymore, then treat it as something that will protect you from inflation. In that sense, you won't really think that there's a "grain" of truth about this asset being dead.

It's common fear that people think Bitcoin is weak and will die soon, while it's unlike what you described as people as human will die before Bitcoin does. With a fact that Bitcoin has not die but has become stronger with time since 2009, the risk of death for Bitcoin is very low from now, if not say almost zero. Another common fear is what will happen with Bitcoin network, miners and mining hashrate when more bitcoins mined from blocks, most of bitcoin in total supply mined and exist in circulation, while block subsidy becomes too small and income for Bitcoin miners shrinks to too small. When mining rewards are not too good, especially not profitable, people imagine about such scenario and feel fearful that most Bitcoin miners will shut down their ASICs, and Bitcoin blockchain will be affected severely, face with risk of death.

It's more of a method than a fact, especially for people like you OP, those who haven't been around Bitcoin for long, once a popular person says Bitcoin is dead some beginners will freak out and possibly dump their Bitcoin, as for those who really knows what Bitcoin is they have already seen this method too many times. Bitcoin is dead but Trump and family hold alot of Bitcoin. Bitcoin is dead but Banks are all planning to have a piece of the pie. Bitcoin is dead but big institutions like BlackRock can't avoid Bitcoin. Bitcoin is dead but a whole country is using Bitcoin as their reserves. It's either you refuse to be fooled or you help them accumulate Bitcoin at cheaper rate by selling yours.

There have been a number of threads and several people have been posting on these that Bitcoin is dead more than 1,000 times and yet we are still seeing it existing to this day, this shows that not everything we see online we should also believe, some people are just meant to attack on bitcoin than to support for it adoption. However, in one sense, this claim might also be correct... Bitcoin is dead in the same sense as a Nobel Prize-winning poet. It is at the pinnacle of fame and can be a great source of inspiration. I also don't know why you are going back against your words from the first quotes you made, should we also let others influence us by what they are saying and believe, what iota of Truth are you observing from what this is all about, knowing that bitcoin will always remain to be a well-known digital currency that will serve for generations.

Hmmm...who is even saying Bitcoin is dead? Now that big institutions, the US government, and a full country (El Salvador), have integrated Bitcoin into their system, model, country, and policies, Bitcoin is now more alive than ever. The rate of acceptance and usage is unprecedented. And guess what, we will see more of this even in the upcoming bull market. Bitcoin is nowhere near dead. People who still attempt to say this are usually those who had all the opportunities, resources, knowledge, and tools to invest in the early days but didn't due to FUD. They just wish their FUD were true, and so, they keep on spreading more FUD just to make sure the idea of Bitcoin in their head holds true. I don't think any reasonable person will say Bitcoin is dead right now; the evidence proving them wrong is overwhelming.

Bitcoin has never been dead, we all can verify this fact. In my belief, Bitcoin will not die. With people who want to believe in "Bitcoin is dead" future, they have to find reasons for that, and they will blame on many things, not only on Trump. With some Presidents in the USA since 2009, Bitcoin has ups and downs but has never been dead and if we don't pay attention on who are Presidents and focus on Bitcoin ROI in long term, we will see a very impressive growth of Bitcoin. https://cryptorank.io/price/bitcoin/analytics| Year | Change | High | Low | USA President | | _________ | ______________ | ___________ | _________ | _____________________ | | 2026 | -13.2% | $97,658 | $58,095 | Donald Trump | | 2025 | -6.28% | $126,037 | $74,651 | Donald Trump | | 2024 | +42.1% | $73,682 | $38,595 | Joe Biden | | 2023 | +155.4% | $44,746 | $16,504 | Joe Biden | | 2022 | -64.3% | $48,205 | $15,521 | Joe Biden | | 2021 | +59.6% | $68,672 | $28,621 | Joe Biden | | 2020 | +304.1% | $29,282 | $4,010 | Donald Trump | | 2019 | +90.9% | $13,793 | $3,380 | Donald Trump | | 2018 | -73.3% | $17,712 | $3,201 | Donald Trump | | 2017 | +1,369% | $20,089 | $755.76 | Donald Trump | | 2016 | +123.8% | $979.4 | $354.91 | Barack Obama | | 2015 | +34.4% | $495.56 | $171.51 | Barack Obama | | 2014 | -57.6% | $1,017 | $289.3 | Barack Obama | | 2013 | +5,435% | $1,156 | $11.75 | Barack Obama | | 2012 | +183.5% | $16.78 | $3.81 | Barack Obama | | 2011 | +1,435% | $35.76 | $0.257 | Barack Obama | | _________ | ______________ | ___________ | _________ | _____________________ |

I have no idea on what you said on the final part, but... anyway I've heard that phrase numerous times already way back in 2017 when I'm still starting to learn about cryptocurrency. The phrase "Bitcoin is dead" has been said by many influential people back then. Not the exact phrase though, but they have said negative things to it. Jamie Dimon once said that "Bitcoin is fraud and a ponzi scheme". Larry Fink even said that Bitcoin is an index of money laundering and even Donald Trump once said that Bitcoin is a scam, and it's a scam against the dollar. It's not "Bitcoin is dead" per se, but negative comments have been there ever since. Now where are those people who've said those comments? Some even accepted Bitcoin already. Some stopped saying that phrase. Some just joined the majority and instead of criticizing Bitcoin, they started buying it. The famous "If you can't beat them, join them" quote is applicable to those who said that Bitcoin is dead. As for the 2nd part that you said, I wonder what do you mean by that though.

But do you think what they have said make sense looking at the current situation of Bitcoin now? Those achievements gotten by this coin for many years have prove that those crazy people saying Bitcoin is dead before is they are all wrong. So best not to buy those nonsense claim, because for many times Bitcoin remain to be a strong currency. Despite of many bear market challenges comes unto it. Always feel amaze on Bitcoin and every year there are lots of things we can take advantage with this coin, if they just are just financial capable and want to take a risk.

But a big shame on them actually, I mean those skeptics who have been claiming bitcoin is dead for over how many years now but still the more they claimed bitcoin is dead and all of a sudden it booms again. I don’t know how long they want to continue with such claims and continue to get disappointed by bitcoin’s performances. My thought is, bitcoin isn’t dead, its a perception made by those who doesn’t understand how bitcoin works especially those with a short term mindset of getting rich quickly , they thought bitcoin price will always be on the increase without dropping at some point in time. I think they should really study about bitcoin volatility so they could understand the nature of bitcoin more clearly before coming up with such claims.

When you post something like this, it's better to include the source link. So we can take a look at what he wants to mean with more detail. Think for yourself: is Bitcoin really dead? If so from which point? To me it doesn’t make sense since I have still been using Bitcoin. There are a lot of fuds from the long time against Bitcoin. They think Bitcoin is a scam, a Ponzi scheme, or dead. Let them think; until Bitcoin becomes dead, even if they are right, we will make money from that. Let them dream to see dead Bitcoin. I really don’t want to dream. Time will give us the right answer.

There are a lot of fuds against Bitcoin, a lot of misconceptions about Bitcoin, and people will need to read more, learn more about Bitcoin from available free resources, and experience by themselves in Bitcoin community and the market more. With time and own experience, they will be able to know about most common fud and can easily debunk most of Bitcoin fuds. https://endthefud.org/https://bitcoincleanup.com/https://casebitcoin.com/critiquesDebunking the "Bitcoin is an environmental disaster" argument.

Most are just taking advantage of the market crash by spreading FUD. By doing it, the more people will panic and start selling their Bitcoin investment. For those people who are planning to accumulate more when the Bitcoin price drops, this is the kind of opportunity they will never missed.

When other people say that Bitcoin is dead, that doesn’t mean it’s actually happening. This issue has been circulating for so many years, and sometimes, I think those people who spread that kind of news are just trying to make other investors have doubts and fear about their Bitcoin investments and holdings. If people fall for this kind of bait, then it’s considered their loss because they were fazed by the news. If you’ve been in the crypto investment industry for a long time, you’ll probably laugh every time you read the same kind of news that was already happening way back then.
