I don't even know how to explain what happened to me.
I lost $1 billion in Bitcoin to a scam.
Yeah, a billion dollars. I know how crazy that sounds. Sometimes I still sit there and think, how the hell did I let this happen?
I had everything. A beautiful home, money, a future. I didn't have to worry about bills or where my next meal was coming from. I thought I was finally in a position where I could take care of my family and live a good life.
Then I trusted someone I shouldn't have.
I still remember the feeling when I realized my Bitcoin was gone. I just sat there staring at my screen. I couldn't move. I kept refreshing my wallet like somehow the money would come back.
It didn't.
I lost everything.
Now I'm homeless. I sleep wherever I can, and some nights I barely sleep at all. I wake up cold, tired, and wondering what I'm going to do next.
The part that hurts the most is remembering how things used to be.
I used to have a home. I used to feel safe. I used to think my future was sorted.
Now I walk around with everything I own in a bag.
People might think losing a billion dollars is just about money, but it's not. It's losing your entire life. It's losing the comfort you took for granted. It's losing the feeling that everything is going to be okay.
I wish I could go back to the day before the scam happened. I wish I had listened to that little voice telling me something wasn't right.
But I can't.
All I can do now is try to keep going, even on the days when I honestly don't feel like I have anything left.
I don't know if I'll ever get my life back.
I just hope one day I can look back at this and say I made it through.
Because right now, I'm just a man who lost everything.
