So what I am curious is how this would actually work from a gambler's point of view. Should AI be used to detect suspicious accounts/transactions, monitor possible problem gambling, or check if licensed platforms are following the rules properly?

Looking at the development of AI technology nowadays, if PAGCOR wants to use AI to monitor casinos and players, it should be possible. This could involve detecting illegal betting websites, KYC, monitoring players' betting behavior, suspicious transactions, and a few other things.
But the challenge is that illegal gambling operators might be using bots to create domains much faster than this AI bot. Also, since this is AI technology, developing it isn’t easy. They would need to make a big investment and ensure that legitimate casinos are able to cooperate with the program.
So, again, it really depends on how PAGCOR can implement this idea, or if it’s just talk without any clear implementation.

It actually helps a lot to them, knowing they can automate  everything and make their job by integrating Ai.

Although the risk and other concern is valid, but I think its good to try to see if there's good effect by adapting the new technology. But we just hope they will not make it so complex and strict then we can still access the usual gambling sites that we like.

Because last time they block this forum and I don't want to encounter any much bigger issue than that.

PAGCOR said they are looking at AI as something that can help them do their job better. They did not really explain yet what specific tasks they want AI to handle, but if they are already considering it, I guess they see some real use for it in regulation.

https://www.pagcor.ph/headlines/pagcor-says-regulatory-framework-must-evolve-with-ai.html
AI is now being used for both security and support services for casinos, and when you talking about AI in the gambler's point of view, we can easily limit it function to just analysis and data gathering for the gambler and it stopped there.

But as for casino there is a lot services that AI can offer to the casino, that can generate more revenue or cut down their cost of operations which is why casinos are already adopting AI for various purposes.

I have actually noticed how casinos and other services have been replacing their costumer service agents with chat bots and artificial intelligences, I personally find it quite annoying, because I am accustomed to talk to a real person when I want to deal with a problem within a service.
Hopefully casinos will allow a significant percentage of their agents to keep their positions, and leave a minimum of artificial intelligences to cater a lot of people with minimal and routinary problems and issues, otherwise it will make me lose my faith in costumer service in the future.

AI doesn't recognized bitcointalk as a forum, they just blocked it because AI thinks this is a gambling websites or something that could scam people if they will interact this forum without digging deeper that what they think is wrong, that's the disadvantage of AI in my opinion.

I don't have issues with PAGCOR using AI to improve their services but i think they should also develop an AI that could help gamblers to at least minimized their activity or should i say find a solution to somehow help gamblers to get out of this mess.

Ai can actually help them do some of their tasks , but nobody knows how they intend to use it. Maybe as time goes on they will disclose the tasks the Al will be used for, including whether it will be used for any of the things you mentioned. However, almost every organization and company now use Al for their operations, decision making, customer service and other business activities. So, I’m not surprised that PAGCOR wants to employ Al to help them out with their operations.

They would not invest in an AI system that cannot meet their goal. It's not like the AI we are using where we simply subscribe to a service, most probably they will build their own because sensitive information should not be accessible to a third party, and they need to make sure everything remains confidential.

So I think it's really possible for regulation to improve with AI, especially now that the technology is developing fast. If implemented properly, it could make monitoring and regulation more effective.

For effective service provision and also as way to promote the new development in AI which tends to be Capital intensive as start but have long term revenue benefits for the casino, since they cost of operations and staff salaries will get cut down as time progresses.

Gambler's are the one tht have been left behind in all of this AI stuff, since it is hard to use AI bots in gambling games.

It depends whom you ask, because I have already seen some people talking about it here on the forum , on the possibilty of allowing AI agents to gamble in their behalf. To me it does not make sense, as defeats the whole purpose of gambling, but I am sure there will be people interested, as AI continues to advance everyday.
