If I'm to make a prediction about which country would win the most medals I don't have to think twice about it or go into any serious analysis to know that it has to be China, I respect that country so much when it comes to the Olympics and the Asian games. I think that it's going to be China if not Japan and so far, China has got 23 gold medals already while the second one Japan has got 8 so far.

That's a lot of gap although in total medals, China has got 38 and Japan has 32.

Being populous does not ensure superiority in the global sport scene. What counts much in ensuring the success of the national team is the willingness of the authorities to fund development programs and provide quality training facilities.

Minimal levels of corruption make sure that facilities and food are supplied to athletes directly without any illicit deduction. Clean governance makes sure that the sports environment is healthy and produces champions who dominate the podium.

But Japan is not less because so far Japan is in second position. If China is in first position in the Asian Games, then Japan will definitely be in second position.

Indian women's team is already getting the gold medal in cricket as they defeated Sri Lanka by a huge margin of 147 runs today to win the gold medal.
India has won a total of two gold medals so far, while one gold medal in cricket was won by defeating Sri Lankan women's team.
However, it is very regrettable that my country Bangladesh has not been able to win any medals so far and it is expected that we have not received any medals so far in this year's Asian Games, meaning who can say whether Bangladesh will most likely be deprived of medals in the 2026 Asian Games?

Include Kabaddi too, Indian teams both men's and women's, have the potential to secure gold medals. The dream of every India is to see their athletes winning gold medals or atleast any but we are always lacking even behind smaller nations for many reasons. In my opinion, the question "Who will win the most medals?" is flawed, because the answer would undoubtedly be China.
If the question had been "Who will win the most *gold* medals?", then perhaps Japan and South Korea might have had a chance of finishing at the top.
That said, the answer to "Who will win the most gold medals?" would still be China.
China is one of the world's leading nations and boasts a vast number of athletes.
Since these games are limited to the Asian continent, China will take the top spot.
Japan will come in second, and South Korea third; while the specific figures in the medal table might shift as the games progress, the overall ranking will remain unchanged.

I was also expecting the same from the Indian men's cricket team but have you seen their performance today in the match against Japan?



They barely managed to win the match and that too by just 2 runs. All thanks to the incredible bowling by Axar Patel which saved India from humiliation. I dont know what went wrong. Was it the weather or the playing conditions? Or was it because the match was reduced to 5 overs instead of 20? The reason I am so worried is that Japan is not an ICC Full Member nation, yet the Indian team was struggling against them. So lets see how many gold medals India manages to bag now.

Most of the top-tier athletes from my country have backed out of the Asian Games, like Alex Eala /tennis and Eumir Marcial/boxing. Aside from the low rewards, they apparently feel that it would be better to rest and focus on other competitions as per interview.

And for these two, I’m pretty sure they probably consider the Asian Games more of an amateur level event, compared to the major international competitions they compete in.

We all know that will be China, no doubt, China are strong Powers on the world stage which is the Olympics and one of their greatest rivals do the medal ladder is the United States of America and since this is about Asia I don't think they will be having much problems.
It has to be said that China invest in child sport development that is they have well structured pathways for future medalist catching, supporting and financing them from a young age.

That is true that china stands the chance to win looking at the table,the gap is very long. If china put in same energy they have been using from the start, but we need to understand that anything can happen as Japan can play china and equalize the top. China are know for there early child training which gives them the confidence and the will power to explore.
Japan are also trying their best in the recent games played I saw how much effort they put in to geth here, Kendel Kadoweki and his team are doing great work yet need to improve for a better results in the next games.

Even from the history of the Asian games alone it has been seen who will be the overall champion. China has already dominated the Asian games even now it has been 11 times in a row they have become the overall champion so there is nothing we can argue for now because they will still do the same.

Japan did host and will likely be in the runner up position but to defeat China's dominance is unlikely for now. Even looking at the standings now after the event began China has earned more than 32 gold and it is very far to be pursued by Japan who just got 11 gold in all competitions.

Indeed, this is quite interesting because there are several sports that may be used as a focus and strength by several other countries but to become champions at the Asian Games it will still belong to China as well as to get the overall champion for the 12th time.

Choosing the sport athlete is about the competitiveness, and no politics shoulda involved in this thing. China fully focused on how to get their best talent while other countries are not even doing it.

Apart from that i agree with your second paragraph. As i know they have the best system to develop their spors athlete called Juguo Tizihi. They develop talents since they're still very young, and push them beyond their limit to only focus in their field. It's something that others countries don't have it who have high index of curroption. While most of countries in asia have high index of corruption.

Anyone who gamble on China to win most of medals is winning their bet, but the problem we have no market to bet on this kind of event.
