This topic is about the signature ban issues that has been going on.
Some people are having issues with the way it’s been handled, I myself have some issues with the way it’s been handled and I have tried to suggest some solutions that I believe will make things better.

However we need to give the whole process time, I believe everything will be better as time goes on.
You can’t build something and expect it to be perfect immediately, as time goes on you will discover things that needs to be changed and improved.

We all can always bring suggestions to make the signature ban better, but don’t expect it to be considered immediately, let’s give the process time because if every suggestion is implemented immediately without looking at it very carefully it may cause more confusion and problem.

No matter what this forum turns out to become, it should always be free as possible just like it’s aim says

Why not just add this whole thread of suggestion as a comment in one of the threads where suggestions like this have been made about the signature ban?

You’re right and have a clear point but is it worth starting a new thread and what are we to discuss now on the thread? As I read through it it sound like you raised the point and concluded it with no window for contribution.

Your topic is a suggestion about something related to Signature Ban Improvements but before taking about your idea, let's say about your issues with the current one.

I have tried to suggest some solutions that I believe will make things better.

Again, you must say what's bad with the current one, before suggest something in your opinion will make it better.

Not much. There are already several threads discussing this topic, and this is just one more. Theymos reads what we write, especially on Meta, and if he continues to trust Nutildah to issue signature bans, I understand that it’s because—even though he may make some mistakes and the system he uses isn’t perfect—the bans issued so far have been beneficial for the forum.

This thread is very simple to understand and very easy to know the message I’m trying to pass.

If you have nothing to contribute, the advice is don't write. Read more, think more, post less or don't post if not necessarily.

What did you want to propose to improve the Signature Ban with this part of your post.
You simply ignored questions and said the other members attacked you.

Users can create a new thread but if it has something new and interesting for discussions or proposals, unfortunately this thread is not.

This user has habit of creating threads to discuss about things that are available in many other threads, with discussions, ideas and guides are more helpful than his.

The sigban idea has already helped the forum in regards to the purpose it was started but measurable impact will be felt with time. A lot of the affected members are already sitting up and putting more efforts to make meaningful contribution here which I suspected may be the reason for the surge in new companies coming here to promote their business.

I don't think this is true, a lot of Sigbanned users have gone dormant and are either waiting for the ban duration to end or lost interest in the forum of which I think the first is the case. The new companies only wanted to extend their visibility here. It has nothing to do with the Sig bans in my own opinion. The Sigbans have been helpful, just hope it keeps getting better

 I think I understand what op is trying to pass across. In summary, things will get better if we don't bitch too much about it but let time run it's course, right?
Now if we look at it from the view of others that have responded, I think they have a point. No need opening a thread to tell about this when it can be discussed in the sigban thread. Some times too, it's better to listen to what someone is saying before becoming defensive and feeling like you're being attacked. You said it yourself in your op that its not every thing that is said that will be accepted immediately, so while you have those who will talk positively, there are those who will respond in the negative and instead of using the word "attack" like someone who's new to this place, why not take out the message of what the person said and discard the one that's not going to help?

To begin with, let's then skip further discussions about the tool for now.
I might have misunderstood its intended purpose, you're still working on it, let's leave it at that.

What I do know is that people are using it for self evaluations and I don't really think they should be doing that, at least not in its current state.

Alright:

- you assume most of the banned ones truly deserve it
- you're not against sigbans per se
- you can't mention which accounts didn't deserve it
- you suggest a broader conversation about spam is required

Great, I agree with all of these things! Next step: let's start that conversation about spam. It seems like you are inferring new rules are needed. What did you have in mind, and does it involve changes to pre-existing rules?

Regarding this - I'm swarmed lately and now that we're actually making positive steps in our communication, I don't want to do this half-arsed.
I'll collect my thoughts a bit and try to systemize what I feel is needed. It might take 1-2 days or 10, I will do it though.

I'll open a new thread about it - we're kinda off-topic here anyway.

Let's continue that here, that would probably be much better, just so that this discussion doesn't get splattered in threads where it doesn't belong.

If I had seen a message that was being passed I’ll definitely get it but I don’t see any, I only read what is clear that we should give the whole process time and I guess that’s what majority of the people are doing already! People are giving it time!!!!

If you had said something like; “Maybe it’s time we have a committee of signature ban handlers, like I mean people who will seat as panel of judges giving signature bans second thoughts and opinions from different perspectives on signature ban cases and then make decision”, that will not have lead to my own first comment on this thread but however there is no such valid point rather than give it time which people are doing already without you having to state the obvious.

Which is why it seem like people are attacking your thread and not you!!! Know that!! And of course it’s not an attack it’s just their opinion and everybody must not have your expected opinion.
