My miner is asking me to insert my BTC address and add .workername.

I think this is my BTC address:

Can someone confirm if I’m supposed to paste it exactly like that, or if I need to add anything else?

 is it from an exchange?
is your wallet from a wallet you control?
what is the pool you want to mine on?

you did give an answer that may or may not work

it is good for some miners and some pools but only if it is a good address that you control.

The weird part is why the miner is asking for the BTC address? Are you sure you have the right miner to mine BTC?

When setting up a pool in an ASIC miner, it only asks for the mining address, not the BTC address. The mining address usually starts with stratum, which is the protocol, and the next one is the miner's name from the pool and the password.
Some pools, if you are directly mining without registering, can use the BTC address as your username.

The only pool I know of that explicitly requires a BTC address as part of the internet address the miner is pointed at is -ck's solo pool. Pools that you register at will ask for it when you sign up. They um, need to know where to send yer earnings.,.

What pool is the miner pointed at? That bit of info will be of great help...

Hey everyone — thanks for the replies.

Just to clear things up:
Rounds 1 and 2 were me messing up my setup and accounts.  
I kept putting things in the wrong sections, wrong miner configs, wrong wallet setups, and honestly just restarted fresh because it was easier than untangling the mess.

So this account is “round 3,” the clean run.

As for the BTC address question:
I wasn’t sure if my miner wanted the payout address or the pool login format. Some miners let you use a BTC address as the username, some don’t, and I didn’t want to point it wrong.

The address I posted is from a wallet I control, not an exchange.

I’m trying to confirm whether I should paste it exactly as-is, or if the pool I’m using needs a different format (stratum URL + workername).

I’ll post the exact pool details next so you guys can tell me the correct format.

For the wallet format, the miner wants wallet.worker.
My BTC wallet has a nickname (“bitcoin solo”), but I know that’s just the name inside my wallet app — the miner only cares about the actual BTC address string.

So I’m assuming it should look like this:
bc1qsl8zgnn6ufaxthyxhfray2vl9lksnfzgng0pz.s19kpro

Now, about the password field…
The pool says to use x, which feels weird because it looks like anyone could just use x. But from what I understand, the password doesn’t control payouts — the BTC address does — so using x is normal.

My last question:
How do I tell the miner I want SOLO mode?  
Is it done by the port, or does this pool use a password flag for solo?

Just trying to make sure I’m pointing the S19K Pro correctly.

The first thing I noticed is that the pool I never heard of this pool before this is my first time I tried to do some deep research; even the domain itself, checking on whois, doesn't show anything.

It seems these asshats exist on Coingecko under the SOL token/meme. Are you mining this?

Or are you actually mining BTC?

If I were you, I would better switch to known pools because you might be mining on scam pool.

About the setup you set that's the exact setup if you configure the ASIC unit under pool configuration, it works just the same as the CKpool solo.

And as you can see that pool you mention above is not listed above, which is suspicious or maybe we are talking about mining altcoins that later be exist?

I’ve been mining for a few hours now on this “asshatsrus.zoo” setup, and according to the pool’s page I should be getting paid every hour. If their math is right, I’d be sitting at like $5,000 bitcoin by now… but my wallet (“bitcoin solo”) is still sitting at zero.

I’m guessing this is because I’m in SOLO mode, and SOLO doesn’t pay hourly — it only pays if you actually hit a block. So I’m probably just misunderstanding the payout section on the pool site.

Also, I did use x as the password like the pool said. At first I thought “great, now someone’s gonna steal my cut because everyone uses x,” but from what I understand the password doesn’t control payouts — the BTC address does — so I’m assuming that part is fine.

Anyway, just wanted to update the thread. If I’m missing something obvious, feel free to point it out.
