Disclosure: I work with Jingle Mining. This is the verification process I use before an ASIC payment. It is not a recommendation to buy from one seller.
Short answer: verify the person through the seller's official domain, make the invoice specific enough to audit, match the payment beneficiary, and request evidence for the exact machine. A low quote does not prove that the contact controls the company account or that the quoted unit exists.
Start with the company's own verification channel. Jingle Mining provides an official staff identity check here:
Jingle Mining staff identity check1. Verify the person separately from the companyA real company can still be impersonated. Ask the contact to write from the company domain, then verify the same email address, phone number or social handle through the company's official website. A Telegram name, WhatsApp photo or forwarded business card is not enough.
2. Make the invoice auditable- Legal seller name and billing address.
- Manufacturer, complete model name, hashrate variant, condition and quantity.
- Unit price, total price, currency and payment deadline.
- Shipping term, destination, freight charge and expected dispatch window.
- Warranty status and the party responsible for a claim.
- Payment beneficiary name and account or wallet details.
The beneficiary should make sense in relation to the legal seller on the invoice. If the beneficiary or wallet changes after the invoice is issued, stop and verify the change through a second channel.
3. Connect the evidence to the exact unitFor stock equipment, request current photos or a short video showing the model label, serial information and a dated note. For used equipment, connect the physical label to a running dashboard in the same evidence sequence. A cropped dashboard screenshot can be copied from another machine.
4. Confirm what the quote excludesFreight, import tax, customs brokerage, payment fees, power cords and electrical work may sit outside the machine price. I also confirm whether the quote is for spot stock, a future batch or a hosted unit. Those are different delivery and counterparty risks.
5. Save the final recordKeep the invoice, payment instructions, product specification, warranty language and any written exception. If a material term changes, request a corrected invoice instead of relying on a chat message.
Five checks before money moves- Verify the contact through the official company domain.
- Match the legal seller and payment beneficiary.
- Confirm the exact model, variant, condition, batch and included accessories.
- Put shipping, tax, warranty and dispatch terms in writing.
- Reconfirm every changed payment instruction through a second channel.
This process cannot remove every transaction risk. It does make impersonation, invoice substitution and missing costs easier to identify before payment.
