Yes you have the right to sell if there is no other ways out of that situation, especially a situation of life and death and at the end of the day you never regret your actions because what you used it for is very important,
I don’t know how some people Dey carry their bitcoin investment journey, if there is emergency, and the money with me is not enough, and I don’t have alternative, am definitely going to sell some of my bitcoin to take care of the necessary things which am suppose to take care of, it’s not necessary to be a life and death situation before I will sell my bitcoin. If am selling my bitcoin, and I didn’t use the money for something worthless, then am not going to regret selling my bitcoin.

You can’t be having bitcoin in your wallet, and you will be suffering, or your will have emergency, and you not going to sell your bitcoin to take care of anything which you are suppose to take care of. You can decided to sell your bitcoin during hard period, and buy back when things get stabilize for you.

A critical situation other than health crisis is not really a tangible compulsion to sell assets, that's if the assets was not bought under duress or with unstable finances. As much as it's important to always invest with discretionary income, in the case of a health issue, I don't think anyone would still consider holding their assets while their life is on the line.

The purpose of long term investment is strictly for profit generation, and there should be a target for that investment too. A price close to the target price is also not a bad sell option, there's no need to criticize anybody selling to settle challenging issues.
There are could be other situations or crisis that's also as worse as health issues, I have seen a lot of people sell their bitcoin because they were in debt, and I'm not talking about something that they could cope with but debts that were becoming a threat to their life, in such a case would you say that it is not a tangible compulsion to sell their assets? Having health issues can be very serious but there are also other things that are terrible as well. These are difficult situations to cope with but there are people that sell their assets when they have a slight or minor issue, such people are not ready to invest.

There are measures that one has to put in place to avoid falling into such a situation and the first thing to do is to have a source of income before making an investment in Bitcoin, having an emergency fund is good but it won't be sustainable without a source of income in the long run. As an investor you should have channels or different means of income so you don't sell your Bitcoin unnecessarily.

Forced selling can end up becoming a financial loss and this affects your hodling or investment in the long run, like I explained initially it is sustainable to have another source of income, this is better than just having an emergency fund, you can set an emergency fund aside and at the end of the day it's not going to be enough for you to sort out whatever financial problems that you have, which might still lead to you selling your coins.

Yeah a source of income matters and more beautiful when it's reliable as in steady, that will strengthen the emergency funds to avoid force selling of Bitcoin asset as much as possible.
Starting an investment without a source or another source of income steady or unsteady most times is capital soon gone and Bitcoin profile won't grow when the investor is fund of touching or selling parts of their holding almost frequently.  Investment without source or another source of income is an indirect way of saying "I will depend on my investment should any emergency that's above my emergency funds arises" and that is a bad business plan. Under such condition, an investor Bitcoin holding can disappear and some may never bounce back.
