1. Do not be overly carried away when you hear stuffs like this even though you are trying to make it in life because people who has made it in life does not make it that easy and there is even a popular saying that " nothing good comes so easily" so those stuffs should be considered a red flag

2. While striving..., try to be contented with what you have, it will really help

3. Change your mindset of becoming rich overnight, success is a gradual process

I'm in full agreement with you that mindset is a large component, but I believe that there is a stage where we have to realize the difference between confidence and taking unnecessary risks.  Even when the individual has the right mind set, he or she may still end up making poor decisions because the person is investing with funds that they need for everyday expenses.

If someone really want to avoid this “let me try my luck” mentality the best way is to eliminate the pressure of wanting to make money fast.  You have less reason to worry if the money you are investing is money that you're not going to be using for your daily expenses. So, some people or most people are aware of Crypto scam and some have been privileged to see a victim and how painful and frustrating it can be yet these folks sometimes allow their greed take over them. you're correct.
You don't try your luck by clicking on links you haven't verified because of the huge winnings that has been advertised. It's advisable to make research first before going ahead to invest in something that isn't sure. I almost made that mistake too but thank God it was too late to fall back.
