Trusting a politician is like putting a knife in your throat and expecting it not to hurt you, it’s never a good idea to have then as part of the community.

Some don’t even know bitcoin as per say but because they have PR and people who run the campaign and media stuffs for them so they just claim to have it by letting their workers buy and show prove of purchase do they can say they support it.

Trump for example, on the first day of using bitcoin, videos exist and he was lost in the process of purchasing the bitcoin others were the ones who bought it for him. They don’t serve what we represent.

Has increased the number of politicians that appear speaking well of Bitcoin and cryptocurrencies. Some even buy, post prints and declare themselves in favor of the financial freedom. The doubt is, is this real conviction or only a way of promote themselves and gain support of part of the electorate?

Is worth trust in politician that says himself adept of the cryptocurrencies or is better distrust?

In the end, will they do what they always do and end up disappointing?

Politicians are human beings like us and they also have a desire to earn money. Politicians especially need this Bitcoin and cryptocurrency more because if their money is through Bitcoin or cryptocurrency, they will be much safer. Because, these days most politicians are embezzling money and disappearing. But those who have Bitcoin, there will be nothing to suspect and they can remain safe by maintaining privacy. Moreover, if a politician thinks he is an expert in cryptocurrency, then I will never oppose it because a politician can be an expert in cryptocurrency.

Although your viewpoint is true, you need to get the context of the question that's being presented by OP. I know I'll sound like a broken record, but if a politician is a HODLer, then he's also incentivized to help make Bitcoin's adoption grew through his own position in the world and the capabilities that it gives him/her.

The growth and development of Bitcoin as an infrastructure, is like the development of the railroads, telecommunications, renewable energy, and other needed infrastructure that depended on government intervention/policies to expand massively.

Personally, a politician can have reasons to do that but he or she can not achieve it only by himself or herself. There will be possible proposals to the government agencies, even constitution for changing or upgrading acts, laws and regulations but it's a very long journey for getting actual achievements.

It's never easy to change regulations in democratic nations so even a politician is a Bitcoin hodler, it's not easy to make contribution that can change existing laws. Politicians can promise to do that but if at the end of their terms, they can not finish it, they will be called as liars.

Bitcoin blockchain is an infrastructure that does not give something like a scam paradise like Ethereum blockchain. There are Ordinals, Runes, inscriptions on Bitcoin blockchain but only appeared recent years, in the last market cycle and these hyped things are almost dead.

Ethereum blockchain is a paradise for scams from ICOs, IEOs and other things till scam meme tokens.

As much as I hate to admit it, politicians may not actually be known to keep to their promises, especially as it concerns Bitcoin, but this new wave of politicians using Bitcoin as a strategy to gain massive support has also helped to lessen the tension between the government and the Bitcoin community.

Using Trump's first and present administration as an example. His first tenure wasn't a Bitcoin friendly administration. The administration witnessed open criticism from Trump himself among other actions that made his first administration unsafe for Bitcoin users.

This present tenure is far more different from what we witnessed at that time. I will say, he is being compelled to at least keep to his words, even if not all his campaign promises. Whether we believe them or not, their involvement still has a good impact to the community.

As again, as you have said, it could be part of their plan to get some votes from pro-crypto individuals.
It could be, but the only way to prove them wrong is by exposing but how? How can we expose them too? Because Trump, when he first ran, with the help of his staff, made a payment in some restaurant or club, when he was a presidential candidate.

He did everything, said everything to take everyone's support, and the crypto community also supported him because he made many promises, which would still be fulfilled if he won't be elected, but who knows, maybe I am wrong.

We can't be sure of their true intentions.

I’m not impressed by politicians who are enthusiastic about crypto, when they enthusiastically take to the streets and join hand in hand with the people to fix the road, or just say hello while being stared at by the camera makes me sick. So now let go of admiration or hope for politicians when they bring a narrative that matches our heart's desire. In the end you will be disappointed after he is elected.

Why should I trust politicians for having an interest in Bitcoin or any other cryptocurrency, when I know that everything they are doing is just to please public opinion and not to really work in line with what they eventually want? They are doing all this because of their selfish interest and not to satisfy what people want. Even if they get their political ambition achieved, the fact that they support Bitcoin does not change anything about the approach everyone of us should take; this is more of an independent digital asset than what we expect a particular political candidate to support regarding Bitcoin adoption.

There is no doubt about this: they always need opportunities that give them exploration and have their followers more just because of this. Recently a few have done a good job and used bitcoin for their own interest, even though it's going to be balanced because bitcoin has more people who are needed, and they are also able to give good awareness about this, which is also helpful for bitcoin.

Even things are never been ideal for them to done better things because few are have no enough approach about this crypto always have enough potential but its also needs right decisions and right moves because without having enough knowledge and support its not going  to give expected results in future I never trust them because they never fill their promises and have things just for their own but still its important to keep them engages in this community.

Support the cause and see the valuable input from them but never trust everything they say. That's it, there should always be the boundary from them and us. If they make sense for what they say, let's put some hope and see if they will deliver but if not then that's just another buzz marketing and campaign words from them. We know it, we saw it before already and that's why we have to guard ourselves as well if we'll trust them or not. Because if we do, and that means we're a fan of that politician but not everything they do is for our sake.

Has increased the number of politicians that appear speaking well of Bitcoin and cryptocurrencies. Some even buy, post prints and declare themselves in favor of the financial freedom. The doubt is, is this real conviction or only a way of promote themselves and gain support of part of the electorate?
I don't think any of those selfish politicians will generously bring themselves out to campaign for a financial system like the Decentralized system that they can not control.

We have also seen that you are trying to describe here happened with Donald Trump during his US presidency election campaigns when he came making promises to support the financial technology and how the USA government are going to add Bitcoin and crypto currency to their reserve.
We also felt his political influence when Bitcoin price pumped during his inauguration as he emerged the US President.

It is not going to be a just Speculation if I say that he (Donald Trump) used that medium to participate in the Bitcoin and crypto just to earn the Bitcoin community users supphis against his political interest.
