If the raise they get will only goes to their debts, then this is temporarily more on relief than having a life improvements.

They could probably find the real relief and also progress, once they  are paid with those obligations they have. Then choose not to go back on that miserable situation or cycle.

But many people struggle to be in good situation, since bad decision always hit them so bad. This is the reason why they undergo on situation on which they need to work so hard just to maintain their current lifestyle.

Yes, bad decisions or simply an unfortunate combination of circumstances can throw a person far back. And for them to return to their former state takes years. After all, the problem isn't only that they can't earn as much as they need. The main obstacle lies in the fact that the psychological state suffers greatly and critically deteriorates the longer financial problems persist. And at some point, even if opportunities to improve one's financial situation do appear, the person is already simply completely out of strength, in a depressed state, and cannot take full advantage of these opportunities to pull themselves out.

Well, people should learn how to live below their means, when you know you are staying in a house that is expensive and you ain't able to afford it, you should simply relocate and get a cheeper house to rent, you don't need to pressure yourself or spend all your savings, so even if you are earning huge amount of money and you don't understand money management, you will never be satisfied with your salary, yes salary should be increased, but people should learn how to spend as they earn. You can reduce your meal to two times daily and you will still be healthy, you don't need to eat luxury. Don't buy unnecessary things that you don't need, don't give out when you don't have, learn how to discipline yourself financially and you will be able to live comfortably with your 500 dollar salary without looking broke or begging. Earning more also helps you avoid taking loans and borrowing things from people like foodstuffs, clothes and other things.

In reality, Someone can move from earning $500 to $1,000 a month and still feel like nothing really changed. the reason in most cases is that Rent also increases, food costs more, transportation gets more expensive, and suddenly that extra $500 doesn't feel like much anymore.
When people sources of income increases, then they always tend to increase their own test also. If you are increasing your income, and you are increasing your test, then what you are earning isn’t still going to be enough for you. Because if you are spending $100 weekly before, you are going to increase it to maybe $150 or $200 immediately your source of income increases, which it’s just going to be like you earning the same money.

If you want to grow in life, you just have to plan yourself, just because you are earning more doesn’t mean you should spend more also. Just spend on the basic things which you need, and invest in other things which you are suppose to invest in.

It's normal for people to improve their standard of living when they get higher income but an increased income doesn't make them richer if their expenses still covers their income, what people should strive for is getting more income that can cover expenses without affecting their income.

For instance the income is $1000 while monthly expenses is $200, there would be enough to put into other things that would bring more money, like different forms of investment or a business. However a good planing would help reduce expenses when tbe income isn't excessively much to cover expenses.
