Young and immature minds have that thought of not starting to be shameful when they are doing a hustle or a grit in life. That's normal when they get through with that because they're careful of their actions and the thoughts of people towards them. Statistics show that 7 out of 10 businesses close within the first year, and 90% fail within the first three years. Therefore, the risks should certainly be taken into account rather than ignored.

They aren't scared of losing or winning but the above statement kills their ambitions and they usually prefer traditional jobs from 9-5 which brings them hand to mouth but they are still ok with that.

Because not everyone will become a successful businessperson. That is impossible.

Because it is no easy task, and not everyone can handle it. There is also the factor of "luck", which plays a significant role in determining the outcome.

No work is small, believe in yourself.

Start accordingly to your budget and be your own boss.

Not everyone is cut out to be their own boss. How can someone be their own boss if they can't, quite simply, manage their time rationally or, say, bring order to their life and a living space where total chaos reigns? The essence of any business lies in ensuring that all processes actually work; every stage must be organized and systematized. Otherwise, the "production chain" collapses, and the business falls apart.

I did traditional jobs from 11 years, last year I came to know that I was wasting my time when I started my own business.

I have start my own business right after graduated and has endured to this day One piece of input I can offer the "learning by doing" concept cannot be applied. Don't get trapped by the wrong kind of motivation such as "the important thing is to take action first". Every business carries risks, we must gauge our capacity to bear risk without bringing us to our knees or leaving us depressed, whether mentally or financially. In business, we must learn not to easily tolerate losses because small mistake mean big money, big mistake more money.

The most important thing before starting a business is to determine the goal behind starting it, whether the business you will undertake for income or investment. Different purpose different strategy, your goals will determine your business choices, the allocation of capital, how profits are managed, and even the timing of any necessary expansion.

There is a saying that goes thus, if you want to get poor so fast, allow shyness to cloud your thought or give room to the hearing of every and anything people are saying. If you give attention to everything people are saying, you are going to end up not achieving anything because they can not relate in any way close to the vision you have about the business.

You are the primary motivation you need for the success of your business. once you get it wrong or loose your motivation, others will be the least that can help you out. External influences aren't tilted more towards your success as much as you are able to get it right internally.

I would say almost everyone has thought about starting a business at some point. There are only a few who really took the initiative and started working on their venture. Starting a business does not just mean you have to quit your job and start building a brand. We need a strong foundation in order to build the business. Resigning your job would be a milestone because we can only get serious if we are ready to invest full-time. Not everyone finds resigning that easy and somehow they are stuck in the same job for years.

Starting any business no matter how big or small, it would always give you the freedom by making you the boss. Once we taste business, getting back to job is almost impossible because at that point, we just can't work under anyone.

Quitting your job is not necessarily a must and its not really some milestone that proves you are serious about business. It depends on your situation and circumstances at the time.
Plenty of people start a business alongside their job and only quit once business become stable enough.

If anything, running business just give you more control, not more freedom. Once you  are your own boss, you do not have to answer to your boss anymore, but now you have got customer, employee, bill...

Running business means more responsibility and you may even end up working more than before. So saying you'll be more free is not exactly true.

This feeling is mostly common amongst introverts who have sponsors or who feel too comfortable with what they earn on a monthly or weekly basis. Most of them outgrow this phase of life when the get faced with true life challenges while others give excuses. I won't really call them immature but rather I will say they haven't been forced by real life circumstances to boast their income either by running their personal business or offering a service that gives them consistent pay.

Young people, in particular, are more sensitive to this issue. What’s more, we live in an age where certain stereotypes are constantly drummed into them through the media and its propaganda tools, such as TV shows and movies. In such an environment, I can’t blame them...

Still, I believe it’s very important to choose the right time to start a business. Interest rates are high all over the world. Starting a business in such an economic environment might not be the right choice. In my opinion, it might be a better option to continue working in a job with a steady income and launch our own business when the markets have stabilized...

The life we are live now it's actually very difficult, you can see a lot of people that have two kind of lifestyle, they have the one of social media and ordinary life, people often believe so much on all this influencers thinking that all what they are doing is the right thing. The best thing in this life is to be who you are and honestly, with that you will be among the people that are having a very good life even though you don't have money.

Still, I believe it’s very important to choose the right time to start a business. Interest rates are high all over the world. Some people have this skills of doing business, but some of them collapses along the way simply because they could not be able to engage at the right time, just as you said some people usually rush into business when they knew that they are not financially ready and that is why some of the business is collapsed. I like this kind of advice when you said hold on to your job and have enough before you can start a business.

Social norms. You might earn more as a street vendor, but since you aren't a civil servant, people in the public eye view you as belonging to a lower class. How others perceive you doesn't matter at all. What matters is the money going into your pocket, and that only happens when you start your own business. There is no need to be afraid of failure as long as you can get back up, it’s not a problemso keep trying.

You're actually right. A lot of people are afraid to become small vendors because they believe society won't respect them in that avatar, but it's actually wrong, and even if it's wrong, why should one care? Those who don't respect small vendors and business owners are the biggest culprits of our society, and people need to learn to ignore such people and give their words no importance at all. If someone disrespects you only because you are running a small business, they don't even deserve your attention.

Anyone who can afford to do so should definitely start doing something of their own, because even if your business doesn't take off very quickly, and you face difficulties in the initial phase, but if you don't give up and keep working hard, it will eventually work out for you. When you are your own boss, you won't need to be humiliated in front of others to earn a living, people in corporate world are so fed up but they still continue because they don't have a choice, but if you have a choice, then use it.

Why do you have to be afraid of what people will say, if you are the type that’s ashamed of what people will say, then I will say you are not just ready to be successful in life. If you want to build yourself, then you don’t have to listen to what anyone is going to say, you should take your business serious, because when you are broke, nobody is going to feed you. Whatsoever anyone is going to say, as long as am into a legit business, and am just trying to earn money, then I don’t care.

You should know that people are just going to talk about you for just few days, weeks, or months, and they going to forget about you, they going to get use to the fact that you are into the business already, but if you don’t start a business because of what people will say, then you might end up regretting later, and things might be late already by then.

We are typically people pleaser and these young ones have that mindset from the beginning. But when they get older, that will age and hungry stomach won't allow space for shyness anymore. And that saying you've said is true and if we give room for that and hearing people's feed back, we'll be disabled to do things that we should.

It can be either but there are people who are like that, and you have described them very well. If they are comfortable earning with what they have, that's good but the time will come that they'll need to do something when everything seems no longer fitting their needs and not par with income anymore.

Some data even shows it worse, for startups sometimes it is 9 out of 10 even earlier depending on the data, the years and types of startups. You are one of the few users that is realistic in this thread, most are just agreeing with this false idea in this thread for some reason. Most businesses fail, many ideas are terrible or the person that is trying to do them should not be doing them as they do not have the experience, the skills or the leadership. Not everyone is made for running their own business, it takes different kinds of specific personalities to be successful with that. So this advice is horrible for most people, it works for a small percentage only.

It is a false and exaggerate claim, maybe he could find an individual example here or there but the overall data is strongly on the side of people with PHDs. They earn on average more than most street food vendors.

It is always good to invest when we still have time and the best time for we to still have time to enjoy our return of investment is today. Saying you will start some other time is not a good excuse because it can make you to never do anything. Many people throught that they could invest in the future hence they did not do anything today and when the future came, they became broke and do not have any money to live a comfortable life. If you do not invest while you are young, you are not going to have a good living conditions in the future. Any decisions that you want to do, it should be done today and not to wait for later. Do not wait untill you think you are ready before you invest. It should be done today.
