This is an online casino that is regulated and licensed by the government. With how corrupt our country is, I honestly think that no one will win against those big gambling businesses. He might as well take an offer if they ever provide one. If he insists on keeping on fighting this case, he might end up with nothing.

Call me pessimistic, but that huge amount will never be given. Up until now, I highly doubt the national lottery because I have not really met a lotto winner. That has been running for decades. What more with a new online casino.

Honestly I would not expect that the winner will be paid, given the rate of corruption in PH, I'm pretty sure this operator has some backing in the government, and NBI or PAGCOR here will just come up with a result of investigation that will favor the casino.

So this is what many people want: rules & regulations. But what happens when those rules & regulations protect operators while leaving us players with no power to fight back? Does it mean that regulations exist mostly for tax and fee collection?

This is not the first time that we have heard cases from the Philippines about someone winning big money but then refuses to be paid (correct me if I'm wrong).

I remember that there was one thread about it and the casino offered her less money, but after that, I haven't heard any update on that case.

They might even have the money to pay, but they might be like the money is too much. Another thing I think is that they may be low of funds, or that could be their entire portfolio. I just saw a news on social media that a user of ArenaPlus PH one of the Philippines newest and famous Sportsbetting gaming platform has denied a user of its winning amounting to P433million or approximately $6 million. The said user has asked for help with the NBI (National Bureau of Investigation) to claim their prize. He also seek guidance from a Lawyer and according to the news, shown a screenshot or evidence that he won but the platform customer service says its only a glitch.

A screenshot cannot be considered a valid evidence. The jackpot winner needs a way better evidence. Both sides will have to enter court and prove their claims there. We can only wait for the final verdict. That platform must also provide rock solid evidence that there was an actual glitch and the jackpot winner didn't win anything. Such cases can ruin the reputation of any sports betting/gambling platform, which might lead to multiple players leaving the platform and a loss of revenue and profits.

If they have a record, they should definitely pay it because it is based on their reputation whether they are paying it or not. Then we can only hope that casino wont try to make lawsuit last forever while searching for a way to accuse that person in breaking rules. That is not the first time I see that casino name jackpots as system glitch. There were big cases in US where jackpot winners got several thousand rewards and free meals instead of a jackpot money. I think that having a lawyer involved does not guarantee success in case. Even if that person loses case in court, he will have to pay the lawyer for his work anyway. I dont think lawyer agrees to work free of charge, or hope to get share of a jackpot if he helps to win the case.

But as per the Lawyer, its a binding agreement and the platform should pay the user as he win on the said game. Stating that the evidence has been documented well. Will he get his prize for this? What happened in the event that NBI found them guilty. I bet the user will gave a huge reward for the Lawyer who handle this if the prize got claimed.

Im using this platform for sports event and if this issue would not be resolve then many will doubt this platform authencity to their users.

This is unfortunate for Arena Plus but i don't think they will pay the user with that kind of amount, for sure they will look for a settlement and better for the user to accept or not paid at all. I don't know casino games or slot games work as i'm not a casino player but looking at the winnings, for me that was a glitch as the user is not known as a high roller.

Cases like this are very sad where a lot of gamblers will be playing with their hard earned money and be losing then one lucky person would win big and they will expect the gambling site to pay ASAP so they will know that if they are lucky to win one day that the site wouldn't waste anytime before crediting them. I think that if they don't pay this winner it will affect the reputation of their brand, gamblers will not trust them and they can as well pack up because they have shamed their reputation.

Since the casino have come out to say that it is a glitch I doubt that they will want to back down, the casino most likely have more money and connections than the winner, except the country have a strong judicial system I doubt that he will win the case. So he can reach an agreement with the gambling site and bargain with them to offer him a compensation instead of losing everything or he can go ahead and sue them.

The screenshot was shown on the user profile or game dashboard probably. What evidence is needed when you see that you won on the site? Isnt it a good evidence that he captured the recorded winning? Plus the operator says responded its only a glitch? Meaning they know that the user actually win but ( They say its a glitch) if its a joke on the platform then its not actually funny. Imagine you already win and suddenly its a glitch cause what they need to pay is like $6million. Of course that glitch can save them from paying but does it save them from credibility if they dont pay?

Taking the settlement is the wise thing to do now that we have the most corrupt leaders of all time therefore all government agencies including PAGCOR will surely full of corruption and bribing that’s why casino like this can blatantly scam by luring gambler on huge jackpot then resort to technical glitch to getaway with the payment responsibility.

I doubt any lawyer can manage to beat the casino if the judges on the court and PAGCOR can be bribe using part of the prize money.

Bloody hell, I was going to say that the company can’t use a glitch as an excuse not to pay, but I suppose that’s because I live in a country where that sort of thing doesn’t happen. Then, looking at the comments, I see that that sort of thing – using it as an excuse not to pay and even bribing whoever it takes to avoid doing so – does in fact tend to happen in countries like the Philippines and others. That's a real blow for the winner of the prize.

They don't even need to bribe anyone to get away with it. There's general rules accros gambling platforms that already made clear explanation on issues like this. Winnings that occur as a result of system glitch or technical error or any similar issues are typically treated as invalid and the platform reserve the right to deny the reward or reverse the winning if already paid.

After reading the title, bingo plus scam instantly came to my mind. The situation is the same and both of the casino (Bingoplus and ArenaPlus) is saying that it is a glitch, same scenario and same reason. I hope the end case wouldn't be the same as the winner on the bingo plus scammed doesn't get paid a dime, the PAGCOR ruled in favor of the casino so it is safe to say that they easily got away from it. This could be happened again in this case since I'm assuming that there's a chance that the casino made a deal on PAGCOR officials to make them not guilty on investigations. This is the reality of casino in the PH, this is why I don't really play on local casinos here even if it is convenient since they use our local currency and the deposit and withdrawal are fast.

if you still remember there was also another case where a woman had won millions and she was also denied as the casino and PAGCOR agreed that it was a glitch, I think until now the winner is still pursuing a legal case pending the court decision.

casino plus and arena plus are connected. So there are 2 incidents now, but the first one was a sad decision for the bettor but this time luckily someone gave it in.

Looking at some of the comments, which say that there have been similar cases before and now they are happening again, the casino says that this is a system error, while looking at the pictures shown it looks legitimate that someone won the jackpot.
