The Dark side of AI in modern warfare

AI was designed to make people's lives easier but now looking towards the modern warfare what do you think happens?
Reports have come out of Gaza of the use of AI by Israel which are LAVENDER and GOSPEL SYSTEMS which were reportedly used to process intelligence and identify potential targets.
Another case was reported in recent US-IRAN conflict "Minab school strike in Iran"which is apparently due to targeting failures and incorrect intelligence hit a school.With wrong answers able to kill people the question that needs to be asked is whether we can rely on AI to provide accurate answers?
AI can analyze data in seconds.Does not know the value of human life or have moral responsibility for a bad decision.Perhaps the greatest risk is that AI will become smarter. We are assigning an excessive responsibility to AI when decisions are better made by human.
Do you believe that AI have any place in life-or-death decisions in war?

You are asking question about if people can rely on AI but there are countries that are planing to use AI in fighting war in a way that AI can carry weapons and fight like humans and also they can be used to carry bombs that can be used against enemies. That is where the world is going now.

What are you talking about? Op made literally this thread about the DARK side of it. So what exactly is the issue that makes you defensive about this?
Op wasn't talking about it being just pure evil, but the very SIDE of it when things don't play out in your favor and causes deaths of children.

Or would you take same stance about anything? When we talk about Jeffrey Dahmer, one could remind me about all the times when he was nice and not killing people. And OP wasn't even going this far.

And answer to the question of op: It comes to the question who is to ultimately accountable for decisions of AI? And if humans are making decisions based on false data by AI, who is accountable?

Reduce the expectations you have for AI because it does not allow you to see the benefit of it. AI was never meant to make life easier. It was meant to assist man, and as such we are still in the era of development. AI has a lot of learning to do. It is too early to think it will solve all our problems.

Humans who foolishly listen to everything an AI tells them are the cause of their misfortune. It is better if they stop blaming AI. The AI gave them a result. If they are not sure, they should have done more research. The other day, I asked AI a question. The answer it gave me was not accurate. Some pieces were missing, so I did more research elsewhere and got the full answer.

As much as AI have good sides so have bad sides and can make someone stop the use of it and even cause fear in the heart of people intending to use it. The bad sides of ai today is that it makes people loos there job, due to the multiple ability, speed and economic ability to deliver jobs meant for some group of people at a time. It has the ability to bypass process since it is a programmed system to solve challenges related to that

Know it, AI usage is limited, the dashboard we're handed for $$ isn't what the Pentagon is given for spending $13.5 billion on AI and Autonomy. These smart AI engineers are in business, true they built AI to help the masses with their needs, yet it doesn't deny the Military access to a version of AI that makes their needs easier.

I think AI could do a better job at preventing attacks on civilian provided that are programmed to do so.
