Hi there! This is my first post on this forum. Some of you already know that I’ve been running a small online crypto igaming project for a year now. Today Im going to talk about API integration. And while I’m at it, I’d like to ask if there are any professionals here who specialize in API management. If so, please leave a comment.
Ok. So What was different for our Bitcoin casino after reaching 5K registrations per day.
The first weeks of operation of our Bitcoin casino were relatively easy.
We got like about 40-50 registrations daily from LATAM and spent around $2K daily on acquisition. With such volume, everything could still be done manually if anth.
Can tell that Crypto deposits were processed good, KYC requests did not require much attention, customer support could solve all kinds of user issues, and bonus abuse was not an issue yet.
But then we tried to do better.
When our daily acquisition exceeded 200-300 registrations, some problems started to appear. When daily registration volume increased up to 5K+, the traffic was no longer our biggest issue.
Payments became the first bottleneck.
Bitcoin and crypto payments forced us to pay attention to confirmation times, failed deposits, pending withdrawals, and wallet reconciliation. When you have thousands of users, even small percent of stuck transactions becomes a serious customer support issue.
Bonuses were a problem as well.
The same promotion which seemed okay for 50 registrations could suddenly become quite costly when hundreds or thousands of people entered it. Multi-accounting and bonus abuse could no longer be managed manually.
We finally moved away from using registration CPA as the main KPI.
More relevant metrics for a Bitcoin casino included the following:
registration -> first deposit
first deposit success rate
average first deposit
second deposit rate
time to process a crypto withdrawal
cost of bonus per FTD
chargebacks or payment losses (when appropriate)
percentage of failed KYC
NGR per GEO & acquisition channel
fraud/duplicate-account rate
What's more, some of our “cheapest” traffic was actually some of our worst traffic once we factored in bonuses, payments and retention.
Most important take-away: do not judge casino infrastructure based on launch volume.
Infrastructure that works flawlessly at 50 registrations a day might get painful at 500, and quite a different story at 5,000.
In case you compare infrastructures for a Bitcoin casino, pay close attention to the way deposits, withdrawals, wallets and crypto payments work in practice and not just the amount of games available or the price tag attached. I cant give you bitcoin casino solution, because there many and many operators, and you can choose it by reading this guide:
