By the time I post this reply, Tonic (probably @TypoTonic) has scored a new record, a new all-time high score of 344!
Haha, yeah it was me. I find myself playing the game every once in a while.
Now, it's my turn to ask, how the heck did you score 300+?

I was also surprised, but it was all just luck though.

I didn't save the score breakdown, but I remeber getting 10 green candles with the "mini" buff, which was already enough to get 300 points. The rest came from the "big" buff and gray candles. If I'm not mistaken, I think I got 2 or 3 red candles too. I always try to avoid the magnets as well.
Thanks for playing. You were on top of last week's leaderboard and ofc on the all-time leaderboard as well.
You can check the weekly results here:
https://www.candlerain.xyz/dataI am thinking of giving special treatment to weekly high scorer. Maybe something like a special badge, RGB effects on usernames, or something else. For rewards, I am still trying to find sponsors. Maybe you guys can teach me how to get sponsors? I have space for banners and can create a personalized in-game arena/scene or character.
And yeah, those mini buffs are my favorite too. But the market hasn't been friendly to this mini buff lately. Magnet is useful now. Try using it for some runs and check out the score breakdown. I personally don't aim to use it for scoring, but to collect gray candle streaks to get extra time. You know about it, right?
I added a button to view a more detailed score

The two-step score breakdown feature is really nice
[great addition (thank you)], and if it's not much to ask, could you add it to the shared links as well?
- Thank you also for updating its behavior whenever it fails to fetch data and I look forward to the upcoming 6s power-up item
I will add it to the shared links too. Probably in the next update. TBH, all the suggestions I got on this forum are actually easy to implement because of the AI. The big challenge is how to present them. For example, with the current score breakdown, it took a few minutes to show it, but almost half a day to figure out how to present it. If you played during the update, you probably noticed it changing every 5 minutes, I think

There are 2 power-up items I've created. One is already finished. I'm thinking of adding another one that might be a casino-like game, like slots or crash. But I am not so sure about this casino-like game.
BTW.. My inquisitive mind wants to know which AI you used to complete your game development. It is so cool and so good! I have zero doubt about your game logic, but I am surprised to see the output, which looks truly pro. I want to know whether you added those sounds or if they came with the product. I know these things are not easy to reveal

. You are always welcome to DM me if you think that is what is good for you & your product.
Thank you for the compliment

I use ChatGPT to develop this game. This game is made through vibe coding, but it's not like you just give a prompt to AI and voila, the game is created. I am sure you also experienced the same problems. BTW, here is the very first version of the game.

The core of the game was already running in that version. But for the graphics, I needed to generate them again. Backgrounds, characters, and other assets. The characters are the most difficult part to make in this game. This game is 2D, so I need to create sprite sheets (different poses, walking, catching, frame-by-frame movements). I had to generate, edit them myself in Photoshop, generate again, and edit again. For the sound, it's just based on my requests (prompts), and ChatGPT finds it for me.
