If we talk about our country, then the biggest objective of the new election is to bring a new party to power and loot the people's money through corruption. Actually I said sacrastically. Because in our country, for the last 15 years, there was a dictatorial ruler who brought our country's economy to the bottom and the students protested and overthrew that government. As a result another party came to power and this party is twice as good at corruption as the previous party. So I think that this corruption cannot be stopped until the people are aware. The reason is that the people sell their votes in exchange for some money and at the end of the day they have to pay.

I do not care about election or democracy, only what I want is good economy and people living in the country to have good living time in their life time. But most countries are failing.

In some countries, the democracy is not even democracy, it is authoritarian the way it is.

The politicians also know how they can fool people to vote for them.

Honestly I wonder how they’re to convince the same people they put penury and suffering to still vote for them, someone who fail to provide the basic amenities for four years will still come back promising good governance, hope and unforeseen future. The same content creators, TV Presenters and radio personalities who condemns the act of the most politicians will still end up supporting them for pea nuts promise.

That shows how dumb people can be at time. A few bucks is enough for some lots to sell their conscience and forget all the bad things that they suffered for years. And that shit drives me so crazy especially when I see someone who didn't perform well the first time asking for a chance to come again and do better. Four years is enough to make things happen. It is enough to transform a country from worse to good. And if one cannot make any difference in their first four years, they shouldn't be giving a chance to come back. Because since that next four years is their last, they could even come and spoil everything the more.

Citizens need to wisen up and quit supporting those that don't deserve it. Because as for me I am so tired of living like a slave in a country were I am supposed to be living like a millonario. All politicians are not trustworthy no matter the country they are from, they don't give a fuck about any one of us, so it is better that we quit listening and following their promises. All they care about is more power and more power because of how hungry they are for it.

The need for elections was purposefully to bring about a change in governance when the sitting government ain't meeting to their campaign promises and the people on the other hand ain't satisfied with the type of policies they're met with. It creates an avenue where the people gets to remind the politicians that they the people are with the actual power to sit and unsit the political office holders. But it's unfortunate how the people has being blanked psychologically to not know the people they have in their vote for good governance if only they can unite.

The primary cause behind the continued comeback of the old politicians lies not only in the election process  but in the reality that there is no chance for a new and clean politician to emerge within our political scenario. It is quite similar to the situation where you have a menu card full of stale items and you have to pick any one item from it. Democracy is a factory for creating terrorism, especially in a multi-party electoral system. In a multi-party electoral system, fair elections or stability of the country is not possible in any way, the terrorist fight between one party and another will always continue, the fight for dominance also greatly harms the people and the economy of the country.

There are still some democratic countries where terrorism is practiced secretly even though they do not support open terrorism. Even though democracy is terrorism, there is relatively more stability in a two-party electoral system. In a one-party system, there is a high possibility of dictatorship and the dictatorship is also likely to be long-term. However, if the government works in the interest of its own country in a one-party system, it can be considered the best government system for democracy.

To me, the worst system is a multi-party system. Even if politicians are against each other in the political arena, they meet secretly to discuss how they will loot the country and remain in power by fooling the people of the country. Sometimes due to disputes, the aim of political parties is to keep the political field heated with their dogs. Let the people play the role of spectators there and choose those leaders as their representatives during the elections. A very strange system, where we ourselves elect thieves and terrorists!!!

Democracy is not the problem but main issue is having no respect for the law and there is no accountability for wrongdoing by ones who operate the system. Having political competition is okay but sometimes it can create conflict and tension among people but that does not mean it is going to create or produce terrorism and makes election not possible. In fact the countries that have different parties it give your citizens more number of choices and help in preventing the political power from being concentrated in the hand of only one group. A one party system looks quite stable but does that stability come from the satisfaction of the citizens or from the absence of freedom to challenge the government? Having opposition is necessary; if there is no opposition then corruption and the misuse of power are going to continue and no one is going to point that out.

I also agree with your point that sometimes politician may use their citizens for their own personal benefit but the political institutions' failure does not prove that democracy is terrorism.

Literally only way for you to affect this by democracy and elections, so it doesn't sounds like you care about the economy or people living in it.

From my experience people who complain that politicians are liars are themselves constantly voting populists who promise easy fixes and things that they couldn't even change.
It should be mandatory to teach political science among with media literacy and source source evaluation, so that people wouldn't be as easily manipulated by populists. But what i am saying, there was a study in last decade that 1/5th of adults in USA are illiterate and that ratio is probably worse now, so maybe world is just doomed.

Do we have a choice? Basically, we don't have a choice because, to become a Presidential candidate, that person needs to have power, influence, and money to purchase a Presidential nomination ticket. And, practically, the candidate has to be a politician. We, as citizens, have less influence except by voting for the nominated presidential candidate.

People don't vote for an individual as president. The people vote in political parties. The purpose of a new election is to choose another political party to represent the country if the other has failed in its previous tenure.

When you asked "what's the purpose of new elections" in your title I was like do you understand what you are asking, it was when I read the body of your message that are understood the reason why you asked that question.

Anyway, new elections must be conducted for new government to emerge based on democracy and constitution of a country. You asked why it's always same old politicians with bad governance that always want to remain in power and that area is really a troubling situation because I do not understand why a leadership that has failed the people still want to be re-elected or vile for other government offices. It shows how corrupt the system has been and the choices of the people at not always the people that emerge victorious.

On a second thought, the citizens are also part of the reasons why those people with bad leadership want to return back to their office because when they take bribes from those greedy politicians, it's kind of selling themselves to accept that those politicians are doing.

Democratic multiple elections do not mean electing one leader and another, but rather the method of electing that leader to make progress through the leader through whom the progress of democracy will be greater. If we give the same leader a chance more than once, there will be no democracy in the country and it will become a dictatorship. That is why elections have to be held repeatedly in a democratic country. If a leader is selected repeatedly, it will be seen that there will be no accountability in that leader and the progress of the country will stagnate. But if a new leader is elected democratically, a diverse governance system will come into being every year, resulting in progress in the country.

Election in my country is just for formalities, their already hard they power sharing formula behind close doors and then after come out to make citizens waste time in Election votes that won't be counted.
