It would be a revenue loss for many including the government but I think Australia is thinking about the well being of their citizen knowing how much these celebrities give impact to the product they are promoting.

Many countries are fighting gambling from spreading and some countries resort to completely banning all the casinos so I think this move is fair enough.

I understand these security measures perfectly well, because I've long been aware of the celebrity phenomenon. It's based on the belief that celebrities—singers, actors, show stars, and othere - are well-versed in everything. This is probably because everyone assumes that if they've achieved such heights, they must have a broad perspective.
But in reality, it's always the opposite. Athletes, singers, and actors are people with the narrowest perspectives, because they earn money through a single, narrow skill and often see no point in developing other knowledge. They have money, they promote casinos, and so banning this is the right thing for regulators to do.

This is good! I guess this means celebrities will lose one source of income, but it definitely won't make them poor! After all, they are role models, and they attract a lot of attention from the younger population. Kids simply follow them, assuming that if their favorite celebrity promotes something, it must be okay... like some popular trend!

Other thing that caught my attention is Australia again. This is like 3 or 4 big announcement from them this year about fighting gambling addiction. Either problem with gambling in Australia is really that bad, or their government really wants to fix that issue. It might also be applied to people involved in sports, such as athletes and coaches. People with many followers on social media have the ability to influence others. Because celebrities are the ones promoting gambling ads that can have a big impact on their communities, the Australian government is taking a firm stance by banning these artists, at least according to them this will reduce the number of gambling.

The government may see it does not want to generate taxes from gambling, it does not want citizens to become addicted hence its making the rules stricter, although somewhat lenient because the bookies can still promote without celebrities.

This problem has been around for a long time and many countries have banned gambling simply because they do not have gambling licenses. However, if a country has a policy that gambling should not be allowed without a license, then those countries should be careful about it and Australia is one of them. I agree with this, so many gambling dens are emptying and closing due to licenses. In Australia, gambling is also considered quite good and gambling dens are closing there due to licenses. Gambling has become a very big business, so the policy of countries should follow this and protect their dens from these things.

I guess it's because those celebrities have fans and influence, which could worryingly encourage more people to get involved in gambling.. Especially Australia, which is one of the countries with high gambling losses in the world.. So, celebrity endorsements could influence people towards gambling, especially the younger generation, and that will only make the problems they're facing worse.. for me, i think the Australian government has a valid point in prohibiting those celebrities from promoting gambling... since there are many young individuals who look up to celebrities and can easily be swayed by what they endorse. If they see that the celebrities they idolize are promoting gambling, then it could influence them into thinking that betting is normal or fun. It also shows that the government is making a reasonable effort to guide those young individuals from any harm associated with gambling. Of course, celebrities also need to take responsibility for the product that they are endorsing, particularly since they have young followers.

You’re very correct, there’s no young person that doesn’t know the risk involved in gambling. As long as you’re 18yrs and above you must surely know the risk in gambling. Just like you have said they must have seen it in a movie, or in school Gathering.

One mistake people make is going into something without asking questions or making research on what they’re going into.  Just like me before I go into something I try to find out the risk involved, since I already knew the risks involve in gambling  I hardly gamble. The gambling companies don't pay the celebrities. They only sponsor certain things. I know this indirectly brings more money to the pockets of these celebrities, especially the athletes, but there are still other ways to advertise without involving the players.

I really don't know what the government main purpose is by taking such steps. But it seems that the Australian government is thinking about the common people of the country and is trying to do something to save the people of the country from the terrible harm of gambling. The government is taking such steps so that big celebrities cannot attract people to gamble. The way I see some adverts ony page want to make me think that dome influencers don't care about people, they just promote the things they want to and as long as they are getting paid, they don't care about the consequences. Even in u country, many people are struggling with some products these people advertised without cautions.
