Tesla and Meta stock earnings got released yesterday, and their stock market prices went up temporarily before continuing it's previous trend. Holding any?.

My girlfriend holds Meta and TSLA Rtokens. When the earnings were announced, she knew the price would follow an uptrend, so she used her Rtokens as collateral to borrow some USDT, placed a long position on Meta, and when the price went up +5% to $748, she tp. If she were holding the stock on Robinhood or Moomoo, I don't think that would have been possible, or would it?

Though there are risks involved, this option for tokenized stocks is far more flexible, in my opinion, than that of traditional stocks. How do you see this feature?

I don't hold any of these, but based on the current chart, it seems that the trend you talk about is forming a divergence right now, especially the META from NASDAQ.
Meta is already broken the previous lower high; that means it is going to be red this week. If your GF is a long-term holder, keep holding, but if this is a short-term holder, I guess it's better to take a profit before the price dives to the dip.

And I don't think this is the right section for this topic; you should move this to the trading section.

Holding NVDA and SPCX.

My girlfriend holds Meta and TSLA Rtokens. When the earnings were announced, she knew the price would follow an uptrend, so she used her Rtokens as collateral to borrow some USDT, placed a long position on Meta, and when the price went up +5% to $748, she tp. It's possible. Morpho is already supporting loan backed by tokenized stock in robinhood chain. So you can use your tokenizzed stock such as AAPL, NVDA or SPCX to get USDG loan, which can also be converted to the USDC/USDT. I've been using it, and it's as good as borrowing stable in cex by using stock token as collateral.

Though there are risks involved, this option for tokenized stocks is far more flexible, in my opinion, than that of traditional stocks. How do you see this feature?

I'd prefer tokenized stock. Tokenized stock can have more utility such as used it for liquidity provider. So we can earn pretty good APR everyday while also holding it when we're setting it in the right range. It gives you more ways to utilize your stock instead of only holding it to get the capital gain.
For me, tokenized stock much more preferable.

Flexibility wise it's not really close imo. Tokenized stocks trade 24/7, you can buy $3 worth, hold them in your own wallet, move them across chains and actually use them as collateral in DeFi. A brokerage gives you none of that, market hours, T+1 settlement, and the shares sit in their custody, not yours.

The honest catch is liquidity is uneven. The same ticker can have 9 issuers across 6 chains and the spreads are nowhere near the same, so you do want to check before you buy in. I built a dashboard for exactly that, https://stockdeck.xyz/  price, liqudity and who actually holds the shares, per issuer and chain.

There's no investment without risk but for tokenized stocks, the risk is that you buy a token that is issued by a third party and not the company directly, the third party promise to track the stock's price and if they are scammer, they might not have the corresponding real stocks they are claiming to hold which is meant to correspond with their token supply, so you are not actually holding the real company's shares.  As for the second risk, it's about the strategy that your girlfriend used, trading does not just work based on assumption, she could have been wrong and price will just do the opposite of what she expected, resulting to a big loss for her and as you may know, leverage trading has more risk than merely holding your token.

I researched about Robinhood and Moomoo, there's a difference to how their collateral borrowing works compared the one you described which is of CEx, right? You can also borrow on Robinhood but they have qualifying securities, meaning that it's not all securities you can use to borrow against the other, and when you borrow, you are allowed to use the available margin buying power to only buy more of that stock (Meta or Tesla), so it's not the same as borrowing USDT against Rtokens and then open crypto Leverage position.

To hold for a long term, I will rather buy the real company shares instead of the Tokenized stock but assuming I just want to trade the price movement on perpetual option , that's when I will go for tokenized stock since the market is open always unlike traditional brokers that doesn't open on weekends and some major public holidays.
